iBaby M6T HD Wi-Fi Digital Baby Video Camera Monitor with Temperature and Humidity Sensors, White

Pros:
* Good picture quality.
* Settings to allow it to switch between normal and night vision when light levels get low.
* Audio lets me listen for my baby's noises.
* Allows me to monitor my child's room when I'm home or away (with internet connection).
* Temperature and humidity indicators are helpful.
* Allows me to let friends and family sign in and see, and also to use "sleep mode" to lock everyone out but me.

Cons:
* Wi-Fi setup didn't work the first time - had to try a couple times (this is with a good signal, it has nothing to do with poor signal quality).
* Camera doesn't point down very far. This makes it almost worthless since it's no good for seeing down into a crib unless you somehow prop it up or mount it at an angle. This is a serious design flaw, unless you happen to have a transparent crib. At a minimum, it should come with some kind of clamp or mount to put it on the edge of the crib, and be able to see the entire sleeping surface of a standard-depth crib. Otherwise you'll only be able to see the top third of the mattress and seeing nothing if your kid is like mine and moves all over the place, and ends up out of the camera's range of movement.
* Pan and tilt controls are blocky, can't make fine adjustments from the app. So make sure you get the most important shot lined up properly before you try to move the camera from the app.
* The iBabyLabs website and support pages are pretty sparse, the few times I've tried to get help with something I got no responses or couldn't find any useful information.
* Recent changes to the firmware have made the video stream choppy, where it used to be rock-steady and smooth with little delay. Again, nothing has changed in my network, and I have android devices that haven't seen a new version in a while so I know it's the latest firmware causing it.
* No ability to view the video stream from a browser or PC-based app. Only iPhones/iPads and some compatible Android devices (check your Android device for a compatible app, or else figure out how to sideload one and hope it works. At the very least I should be able to point a browser at an ip:port combo and see a raw video feed.

At the end of the day, I think some of the flaws and limitations of this camera are probably common to most baby monitor cameras, particular the mounting and pan/tilt issues. The device itself has an interesting look to it, but the look itself lends nothing to the functionality of the camera, so it's hard to consider that a big selling point ("Look at my interestingly-shaped camera, that seems to have been designed with the expectation that my baby sleeps on the ceiling because it can't look down"). But it works well, and once I got the Wi-Fi connected, it's been performing pretty well ever since. Didn't have to open any ports on my Internet gateway to allow remote access, it just worked, which was a pleasant surprise.

I love this baby monitor, the only downside is that it occasionally cuts out on audio on my phone. This is fixed by turning off and on the audio from the app,or closing and reopening the app. Ive noticed this doesnt happen when my phone is plugged in however.

Finding a quality monitor, with the ability to zoom and turn around was difficult. We ordered another, cheaper monitor and were very disappointment with the quality. Having this on the phone is just great, and there is no fuss about carrying a monitor around the house.

Works easy and quick, I use it for my dogs and they can hear me well and I hear them. I even play music for them and take pictures. Night vision is great and I’m able to move the camera in any direction. Things I don’t like is there is static once in awhile on the cameras side and it can be loud as well as the quality of video isn’t as good as I would of liked it.

Overall, does the job. The vertical angle is a bit too limited. The purchased separately mounting kit is very inflexible so it is difficult to find a good location; you essentially need to place a surface next to the crib that is about the same height as the bars to sit the camera on, but even then you may not see the baby's head if down close to camera. Wifi connection is generally ok. Sometimes the camera stops transmitting and it is not obvious (i.e. no spinning wheel or anything).

So far happy with our monitor but how accurate is the temp gauge? It says it’s 75 in his room but we keep our ac at 68-70 degrees at night. We have it mounted higher up so I’m wondering if it’s reading heat that rises. Thanks

It’s ok I thot mayb better quality pics

Love this! I check on my baby girl where ever I am! It’s fantastic! It scans great deal the room and I can talk and listen

Great quality. I even used it to communicate with my brother from states away.

I think this product is a good buy. I think as long as you have some decent wifi your good. The tech is good quality and the price fits for what you get.
