I love this keyboard. Before I purchased the Mionix Zibal 60 mechanical keyboard, I was using a Razer BlackWidow mechanical keyboard. This Mionix is much more reliable as the Razer's shift key wouldn't register all of the time. The Mionix requires zero software to get going. The Razer has an entire software suite to download that runs in the background 24/7 to allow you to use all of the keys. The Mionix is just a great keyboard that works 100% of the time. I paid $130 for the Razer and got the Mionix for a mere $87.
The back light glow is adjustable, and there is a setup to suit most people. The USB port works great! I love the wrist guard as it fits me just fine. It stays locked very well. I haven't had a problem with it since I bought the keyboard in November of 2015. I can't find a complaint.
Next upgrade will be a Mionix mouse as I hear that they are as good as the keyboards.
Very happy with this keyboard. Cherry MX Black switches have no tactile bump, but can still bottom out and make a clacking sound. This was resolved using some rubber O-rings to dampen the sound. I couldn't be any happier and this keyboard works well if you like simple and yet a solid build. Rated 4 Stars because it isn't USB 3.0.
This is one of the best keyboards I have ever used. Like many will be I'm sure, I was skeptical having never heard of the company. I have had a lot of mechanical gaming keyboards in the past, this one replaced a corsair k90. I use this keyboard for software development and gaming. I really enjoy how it feels for both of those functions. Overall it is a great product I put it well above average as the current higher end gaming keyboards from companies like razer, corsair, steelseries, etc.
PROS - the stuff that sets it apart for me:
-Stiff keys, this is my preference so if you do not like stiff keys this is not the keyboard for you
-Heavy, feels very well built. I also have a slick surfaced desk to light keyboards slide around a lot.
-USB hub all keyboards should have this feature.
-Dimable backlighting
CONS:
- loud, not as problem for me but might be for some
- backlighting only green
