Just put the GhostBed Foundation together and it went together easily after watching the video. The issue is I didn't realize Amazon substituted a Nature's Sleep Foundation for the GhostBed Foundation until I went to put the cover on and it didn't match the GhostBed. The reason I bought the GhostBed Foundation versus using my existing foundation is I thought it would be nice to have a matching set. I contacted GhostBed and they got back to me immediately stating they would ship me out the correct cover. Thanks GhostBed for making this right.

Came a little banged up. Very miner repair with wood glue fixed right up in 10 min or so not including dry time, no big deal. More likely shipping company’s fault. Product is great and provides excellent support.

This package failed to come with hardware such as screws and assembly instructions; however it was easy enough to lay the parts out and decipher how it assembles. Pre-drilled the holes a little larger to support the grabber screws I had (Prevents splitting on thinner boards)

Pros:
- Reasonably priced
- Solid, does not make any squeaking noises. Can be used on the floor.
- Cover is good looking
- 3-year warranty
- Distance between slats is 3.5''. This makes it suitable for foam mattress use.
- Not difficult to assemble.......

Cons:
- ......but time-consuming to assemble. A power drill is highly recommended.
- For warranty to be in effect, product must be registered online within 30 days

Many assembly-type bed frame products have substituted slats for box springs. Additionally, the mattresses that sit on those slats are now thick enough – up to 24” – that a box spring isn’t necessary to provide sufficient height above the bed rails. Another challenge is the cumbersome bulk of transporting a box spring from showroom floor to home (a product design solution the slatted beds elegantly addressed).

So, what’s become of the lowly box spring which provides unparalleled cross support and stability for an optimal sleeping experience but has a fudley dudley reputation? GhostBed has come out with an ingenious pre-packaged home assembly box spring kit. Mine arrived in a rectangular box with a handle cut into the side so that I could carry it into place for set up.

It took just less than an hour to assemble this almost 9” wood-based box platform. It is a solid piece of bedroom furniture that we laid on top of a metal Furinno platform bed. Without a box spring, this guest room bed looked too much like a camp cot with its 14” floor-to-bed top height. With the GhostBed, the total profile is a more adult-sized 27” floor-to-top height (14” Furinno frame + 9” GhostBed + 4” mattress).

I like the Made in USA boast, the Canadian spruce wood (which I found mostly smooth and sliver free), and the generous height. Despite all the wood, it wasn’t heavy. The price point is a little steep compared to the made in China metal brands like Zinus. But you gotta love a company in which an employee personally certifies the shipment (see pic).

Thanks Billy!

Great value for the price, looks good and no problems assembling it, as long as you are reasonably handy. An electric screwdriver and socket wrench is helpful.

Works perfectly with my GhostBed mattress, which I love.
It is super sturdy.
The nice-looking cover, which coordinates with the mattress, goes over the top and around the sides, but not under the bottom of the foundation.
It requires two people for assembly.
It goes together pretty easily and fairly quickly if you have an electric screwdriver; not so easily if you don't.
I'm not sure why it's called "knockdown." It would be pretty difficult to take it apart.
Watch out for splinters!
The box it comes in is very heavy!

NO MORE CREAKS! The wood is cheap, but it works great with our Caspar mattress and really made the overall mattress even more comfortable

This is a great box spring. Easy to put together and sturdy.

exactly as described, very sturdy. We took off the cloth stapled on the slats before reading the directions, mistake, they are on them to keep the slats evenly spaced, figured it out easily enough but it would have been a no brainer if we would have left it on.
