Bought for my roommate to try. He has a very thick, fast-growing beard that would make vikings weep tears of joy did he not have to constantly shave it for work. Within one week of using this his razor burn diminished noticeably. After two weeks, it's almost gone entirely and the rest of his skin is soft and clear.
Terrific scrub that I use to get rid of dry skin, and prep my skin for shaving. It has the right level of exfoliating particles for my taste, doing its scrubbing job without being overtly abrasive on the skin. I read a few reviews saying that it didn't have enough grit and other reviews complaining about being too gritty so I think it depends on what you want. I'd say this one has medium high level of grittiness :} And I can tell the company really cares about the environment and the ingredients that go into its products so what's not to like!
I'm an avid fan of "face scrub" products and this particular brand is really quite good! Gets deep down into those pores and does its work! The grounds are really really fine and with gentle exfoliation, you'll feel like you have gotten rid of all the excess dead skin cells and stray dry skin on the sensitive parts of your face. You do have to be ok with a stronger scent though as this particular product does come with a heavier "manly" scent than most scrubs. I recommend it! **
Bought this at Whole Foods before and so glad I can get it on Amazon now. I`m a bit addicted at using this scrub. I love the refreshing scent and nice smooyh and clean feeling I get after using it. I use it every morning in the shower and couldn't be happier. I also noticed that the ingredients were selected to meet the Premium Body Care Category requirements at Whole Foods so it's a good proxy to know that they are truly natural quality ingredients.
This scrub is amazing and I love to use it once a week for a clean feel. I spend a lot of time outside and use sunscreen on my face everyday. I love that this scrub feel like it completely cleans and leaves my face free of all the chemicals from the day.

I've been making an effort to get away from unneeded chemicals in everyday things that I use. Soap, shampoo, face wash, etc.
I was looking for an all natural face scrub and came across Thrive. It's great stuff! I've been using it every other day and I like how my skin feels afterwards. I can tell it does what its supposed to. It smells good too.
$13 and some change for a tube that isn't even 4 ounces is somewhat steep to me, but at the same time it is what it is. You gotta pay more for the stuff that's better for you.
Enjoyed the face scrub product. It has a clean a non-dry feel on use. The formulation contains granules and they are non-abrasive to skin. Not a big fan of face scrubs due to the dry feeling and to coarse feeling of the particles in it but this one might change my mind on regular use. Will buy again for sure.
My face has been either dry or oily .. but always out of balance. Once I started using this regularly, every day in the morning, my skin feels smooth and balanced. Girlfriend loves it ! The fact that they make this from costa rican plant oils and yes coffee is just an added bonus. I got turned on to exfoliating by hearing that it is the main part of Pharrell Williams' skin care regime. Wish I had found this earlier.
I stopped ordering my Kyoku face scrub when I received a tube that seemed to be a different formulation and I was unsuccessful in contacting the manufacturer or distributor. I did a little research and decided to try Thrive. It has just the right amount of grittiness to do the job, and, though I am sensitive to smells and often feel products are overly-fragranced, find the scent of this one to be most appealing. After running low on my first tube, I just ordered three more.
I bought this with the Thrive shave oil for my husband, because his skin has been breaking out after shaving, and peeling dry with the fall allergy season. I knew he definitely needed to try some products, and could use some exfoliating.
This facial scrub is great! His dry skin is gone after using once last night. I really like the smell and so does he, it's clean and attractive. It came with a free sample of the face balm, which also helped his skin a lot I think - we might just have to order a whole bottle of it!
