Shape works perfectly for water bottles and with just about any drink container (e.g. mug, tall glass). Use them to make "ice sticks" out of herbal teas, especially green tea. Also use to make an "ice pop" out of fruit smoothies. Yay!

Great silicone tray! Super functional and much better than the one BKR sells on their website!

I love the idea of ice sticks to fit into a water bottle. Also, I love that the frozen ice sticks are easy to remove individually to pop one or two into a bottle and have some left for another time. The cover is a good idea. We also keep various breads and rolls in our freezer, so the cover keeps the crumbs out of the ice.
The tray itself is flexible and is difficult to set into the freezer without spilling some water. Actually, it’s difficult to put even non-flexible trays into the drawer freezer on our French door refrigerator. So, we are accustomed to placing the trays on a small cutting board for transport to the freezer. That is what I did with this water bottle ice tray, and it works well. I suggest that the manufacturer print this method on the label of the product.

This is great for keeping water bottles cold. Depending on the size of the water bottle, you can fit multiple sticks in one bottle. This "tray" itself is not stiff. It is very soft, flexible and hard to keep flat. I've found that it is easier if you place this in a larger tupperware, or on a tupperware lid, then pour water into it to fill it, then place it in the freezer. It is so much easier (and less messy to handle) to take in and out of the freezer.

You can also freeze various flavors to infuse your water with flavor (i.e., lemon, strawberry, cucumber, etc.)

I suspect you will try these out and then just go back to regular ice cubes because not much ice is produced by one tray. but I have to say I do like these novel ice spears that slip right into your water bottle and chill your drink from top to bottom. They melt sooner than many cubes because they are skinny but that’s OK in an insulated bottle. The spears have a novel appearance in a tall transparent cocktail glass so there's some entertainment value at home.
Design and materials are top notch. The troughs are soft and the outer rim is stiffer. This makes handling easy: you are not flexing the tray and spilling the water. The lid does not snap on; it rests atop the tray to keep frost out. Pressing the ice out of its mold is very easy: invert, grip the more rigid tray rim, and press gently.
If you want to use them for fun in a shorter glass at home, let them stick the spears into the glass projecting over the rim for a fun (drippy) look, or just snap the spears in half.

One improvement they could make is to round off the edges and spaces between the ice troughs so that excess water runs off. As it is, if you overfill the tray, as you inevitably will, water beads on the top deck and will either spill as you move the tray into the freezer, or stick to the lid, making removing the lid harder after everything freezes.

Description

Each tray makes five ice spears that fit perfectly into your favorite water bottle. A rigid frame supports the tray as you fill and transport it to the freezer, while independent ice molds make dispensing the ice spears a breeze. To top it all off, the provided lid blocks out pesky flavors from your freezer, yielding great-tasting ice, and allows you to stack multiple trays at once. Set of 2 water bottle ice trays.

The W&P bottle ice tray works well for bottles with small necks. I have been using them in my 25 oz. plastic sports bottles which have small necks and one icicle keeps my drink cold for about 90 minutes.

The W&P ice trays are reinforced around the top so that the silicone does not buckle with the weight of the water. It also makes it easier to carry it around. I thought that the lid was a little gimmicky but a couple of times that I didn’t use it, the ice had picked up freezer smells.

The only bad thing with silicone molds is that they tend to pick up smells, so make sure that you do not store them next to anything with strong flavors and ensure that you wash the molds with soap before every refill.

Recommended.

This is an excellent concept. The bread stick shape ice sticks are easy to peel off the silicone mold. They fit in my new stainless steel vacuum water bottle, which I take to work every day for my lunch. I have well water at home and prefer to drink that over whatever comes out of the water coolers or taps at my office. One ice stick seems to work to make my water cool.

The issue that I have with the device is the process of filling the mold and then bringing it to the freezer. I have not been able to do this without splashing out the water, which is still in its liquid form. There is a solution, though. Place the mold in the freezer first and then pour the water from a glass or a bottle into the mold, but then you have to be careful not to overfill the slots. No splashing!

This is an absolutely fantastic ice tray that I'm really enjoying and had absolutely no idea that I needed but now would have a hard time living without. If you drink out of a water bottle regularly (or drink a lot of highball cocktails) this is the ice tray to use. It's very easy to use and it produces and very nice piece of ice that not only works in cooling down a large water bottle, but is easy to insert into a small-mouth opening and looks bad ass too. If you think you will like this ice tray, you definitly will. I've had one other Peak Ice Tray and a year after frequent use, it still looks an works like new. I have no reason to believe this one won't last as well.

On one hand, this ice rod mold is amazing when using it in a water bottle or canteen as it’s perfect for them. The only problem I had with the mold is that the cover doesn’t exactly latch on properly, so unless you’re super duper careful, you’ll be spilling water everywhere going to the freezer. It’s flat enough that size isn’t an issue either. If the thought of not having to use a hammer to fit regular ice cubes into your water bottle makes you squeal with delight, then you need this. Trust me.

I’ve been using this tray to make ice for my two bicycle water bottles. Both of those are large enough to get cubes in, but it’s just easier to drop in one long piece. The small size of the ice this creates even fits in the tiny opening of my aluminum water bottle I take to work. No complaints, other than it’s easy to spill water when taking it from sink to freezer. There is a wire frame around in base but it still is a bit flexible.
