Excellent quality, top notch delivery. We fit about 150 bottles in the cellar due to some being oversized Pinot Noir bottles. Cooled everything quickly and has maintained an even temperature. Love it!
Spent a lot of time researching these on various sites. The reviews on Amazon either were alarmingly negative or uniformly positive (and quoting the manufacturer's advertising a paragraph at a time ... hmmm...). Once I figured in shipping, finding them on sale locally was a better deal. That plus the weird reviews pretty much made my "where to buy" decision.
The pair that I bought both arrived in fine shape. The racks are *plenty* big enough spacing for any bottle I have other than champagne. They are noticeably wider spaced than other wine fridges I have owned. Noise wise they make less noise than the ones I owned before. The 40 dba noise spec appears to be about right on these gizmos.
They do have cooling coils on the back of the unit. You need to space the coils at least an inch off the wall for proper operation. This is true of any fridge that is set up this way. If it's mentioned in the manual ... I missed it.
Based on what I have in them so far, I'd say the "166 bottles" number is a bit low. With 11 bottles on each of the 14 shelves you would be at 154 bottles. At that point the "bin" in the bottom and the shelf sized space at the top are both empty. Getting more than 12 bottles in there does not look like much of a challenge at all. More typically, that's where you would put larger bottles. Does that come out to more or less than 166? It all depends on what size(s) you happen to have.
Why buy two? I've had dual zone units in the past. They always seem to have weird rules about how hot one part is relative to the other part. I also don't think they last quite as long as the simple single zone units. The last set ran for about 8 years. We'll see if these measure up !!
Just installed it but excellent. Easy to load and access bottles. Quite. The bottom drawer is spacious for larger bottles and accessible.
Very nice wine cooler that keeps the temperature steady. The top rack can take some oversized bottles.
Product is beautiful and very functional. Customer service for selling company was terrible.
