I love these Kuhn Rikon paring knives - they are excellent performers, and for the serrated knives, which can't be resharpened, their serration stays sharp for an amazingly long time. And when they need to be replaced, their price makes replacement something I can do without wincing. My local Sur la Table introduced me to Kuhn Rikon knives, bur has since stopped carrying them. Too bad for them, as I had made a mixed set of Kuhn Rikon knives my go-to-wedding present, (and they've always been received with great delight, too) but the store replaced them with something of their own and now I can't buy them there anymore. So, on to Amazon I went. Good price, good color - I'm happy.....until the package came and I found they'd sent me the straight-edged paring knife instead of the serrated. Grrr.
Love these knives. Use them in food prep as well as everyday eating utensils (serrated edges are great as steak/meat knives) to add color to our dinner table. Love that they have a cover, making them great to grab on the go for a picnic, camping, travel, etc. Wish they had additional colors on Amazon as I'd like to purchase more. Color shown on website is not quite true to color in person, but still good.
The daughter is a profesional chef, and she demands quality equipment. She's now overseas, and wasn't able to take her collection of tools for her job(s) abroad. Airlines don't like one taking a carry-on bag of knives, and she doesn't trust the airlines when she makes multiple plane changes.
She reports that this knife is high quality, retains its edge well, and is comfortable to use. If it's okay with her, it'll be fine for your home use,
PS - I purchased this through Amazon for overseas shipping. Took a couple of weeks, but worked well.
I love this knife. Watch out! It’s sharp! I’m concerned that the color might wear off the blade and get into what I’m cutting. It hasn’t happened yet, but I can see the color will fade. I wonder where that color will go, if not into the food.
Love the use of this knife for cutting small tomatoes and grapes. Makes it easy my salads and open faced sandwiches look beautiful with the thin sliced tomatoes. Not to mention the price point it's a win win

This knife is sharp. I lost my other serrated knife when I took it into the garden to cut weeds from the ground. This one is a replacement but even though I wasn't going to take it outside, it cuts weeds like a champ. Cuts vegetables too.
I can't say enough about how much I enjoy using these knives. I will purchase more and more of these as the years roll by.
I love these Kuhn Rikon knives! Bought this serrated one for picnics and travel, but we end up using it daily in our kitchen. I’ve taken to giving them as gifts regularly.
