I have been ordering from Amazon for years and with over hundreds and hundreds of order, I cant remember ever writing a review...until today. I have had this wonderful washer for almost a month and love, love, love it! Did I mention I love it? Well I do! I have been searching for a portable washer for a couple of months. I live in Hawaii so shipping is generally not offered on large products such as this. I also live in a studio condominium. Units here do not have washer hookups and it is further prohibited to change existing plumbing so our options are few to none. It has been far too many years of going up and down in the elevator to the laundromat and has become too expensive in my eyes to pay $10 to wash and dry a load. Most of the time, my clothes are still wet, which takes longer to dry and once dried, well, not freshly clean smelling. I work from home a lot and have a pet, so the convenience of doing laundry at home became very important to me. I did have one of those Panda small washers for under $100 and a spin dryer about the same several years ago. It broke down after a year. It was time consuming and if time is money, then maybe I lost out somewhere in the equation. I would not order such a product again. So recently I started my search and was reluctant to go down the path of trying another washer. After a month of comparing models and reading and re-reading reviews, I chose the RCA. (was only $209 at the time I purchased with free PRIME shipping). It arrived on time and no damage. It did have pictures of the washer on the outer box and description. The Fedex delivery guy was quite impressed with it and had a lot of questions for me. I had it unboxed, hooked up and was doing my first load in 30 minutes. It actually holds more than I thought it would. I can also do a full bed sheet set in one load (fitted and flat sheet and 4 pillow cases). I can usually do 2-3 loads for a weeks worth of laundry. It has been a long time since I have been so impressed with a product. I would easily give this washer 10 stars if I could. This unit spins clothes very dry. I use a non-scented detergent and I have not had clothes come out actually smelling so amazingly fresh since I was a kid and my grandmother was doing my laundry! Very quiet operation. If it broke down tomorrow, I would order it again! HAHAHA Folks, there are no further words for me to describe my satisfaction with this gem. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

The instruction manual is not very detailed. For instance, there is a soap dispenser listed in the manual but I havent been able to find it. I just pour my laundry soap on top of the clothes as the water is added. Absolutely no issues with this process. I would give the manual a 2-star rating. But this should not take away for the excellent quality of the washer at all.
Also, I was initially looking for a unit that I can add water to. Didnt want to bother with hooking up to sink. I am so glad I took a chance on this purchase! The set up is way too easy and once done, you load machine and turn it on, you can walk away. There is no babysitting with this machine!
UPDATE: 2/21/17 I cant believe I have had this gem for almost a year and a half now. Still no problems. I use about 4 times a week. Incredibly, I think this is the best and favorite thing I have ever bought from Amazon. LOL I honestly didnt expect it to last a year. No leaks, or loud banging. Total confidence and if it broke down today, I would have another one ordered within minutes! Life saver!!! :)
If you live in an apartment and don't have a washer/drying in the apartment this is the ticket. This litle baby does such a great job and it spin dries the clothes so well that they are dry in just a few hours. I hang them on a folding rack in the bathroom and in no time things are dry. This little machine works so hard and is just the right size for me, I live alone. It was worth the $200 not to have to drag the laundry outside to the laundry room every week. I don't mind not having a dryer, the washer is the best.
I live in a "dry cabin" (no running water or plumbing) and I haul my water so this washer is perfect. I can fill it with a bucket and drain it into another bucket. I live in Alaska so I was so very glad that they delivered here as I have found it very difficult to get things delivered to me. I am also impressed that you can put so much in this little machine, and I don't have to wring clothes out by hand anymore! What a great Deal! Five Stars ALL the way! Best purchase I have made in a long time. I also got this as an amazon warehouse deal with the amazon prime so it came quick and works beautifully.
This is one great little washing machine!! The best $200 I have ever spent. I needed something small to install in a tiny closet so I could do hang dry laundry upstairs without trucking it down to the basement every time. I read the reviews and saw that everyone seemed very happy with this little guy. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I was renovating so I had a water line added in the closet and it fits right in! It does an amazing job! I mostly use the 19 minute cycle which allows me to get through it all quickly. Beats the 50 minutes on the front load in the basement! I am pleasantly surprised that with the rigorous spinning it does that it has not once gone off kilter. It barely makes a noise when it is spinning and the clothes are super dry when they are done so I can hang without them dripping everywhere. BTW I rarely write reviews but was compelled to for this one.
I got divorced and now I live in a crappy apartment. After I spent twelve bucks and 2 hours at a laundry mat a couple times I decided to try a mini washer. The capacity is larger than you would think, roughly equivalent to a five gallon bucket, you know those orange ones they have at home depot. I have run it about seventy times over the last five months. It's been a game changer. I'm able to just plug this into the kitchen sink and let it go while I do homework or play video games or whatever. I took some advice from the other reviews, I always leave the lid open to allow it to dry out, and I only run cold water washes, this is to save the seals.

Unit is working great. Seems to be considerably more heavy duty than the other options on amazon. The only reason I dropped a star is because the instructions are the most poorly translate I think I've ever seen. The very little amount of setup it needed took like an hour because the instructions were so convulated.
My wife and I live in a solar powered off-grid 20 x 40 cabin on 24 acres in a very rural area. Being solar powered, it is important that we select appliances that work well but are efficient with electricity. Our other requirement is the appliance not unnecessarily take up valuable living space. Since it is just the two of us, we decided to look for a small apartment sized washer and happened upon this RCA RPW091 0.9 cu. ft. Portable Washer. Reading the positive reviews we decided to purchase it. We've had it now for several months and have run some 30-40 loads of laundry through it.
WOW! This is a very capable washing machine - much higher quality than we expected for the price. It gets our clothing much cleaner than our former larger unit and consumes much less electricity. Then there's the spin cycle... it gets the clothing about 85% dry such that we need to hang our clothing out to dry for maybe an hour or two at the most (we don't have a dryer).
Now for perspective... It certainly isn't a large capacity machine. If that's what you're looking for, move on. We've found that it can wash two pairs of jeans, a few shirts, several pairs of socks and several undergarments in a full load. It can wash three full sized towels and a few wash cloths in a full load. It handles a Queen sized sheet with a few pillow cases thrown in just fine. The biggest load we've put into it was a Queen sized quilted cover. It was almost too much for it to handle but it handled it.
I especially like that you can select a number of different wash programs then customize them for individual washes. Since we do a lot of work on the land, our clothing can get pretty soiled. I like that I can select the "Heavy Duty" wash cycle then increase the wash time or create a custom soak and wash and spin cycle then do a full wash cycle to get all of the dirt out.
My only complaint is the really bad translation from Chinese to English of the manual. I got through it, sometimes laughing. If you want a very well written manual, download the "Black and Decker BPWM09W-Portable-Washer" manual also sold here on Amazon. The download link is found further down on the page. It's the exact same machine with slightly different colors. They took the time to rewrite the manual in understandable English.
First off, I hate going to the laundry mat. I live full time in an RV while traveling for work, and this machine is small enough to fit in our RV. Sure, the wash loads are going to be small, which means I average a laundry load per day for my wife and I, but the machine has held up well over the last 5 months of daily use without any issues. The heaviest wash setting takes care of the sweatiest gym clothes, and gets sand out of clothes wore on the beach. It's pretty quiet too, great for apartments and the like. I also like this model better than a twin tub model because you never have to switch your laundry from one tub to the next.
This thing has paid for itself in time and coins saved at the laundry mat.
I have a history with these machines. I previously purchased a twin tub from giantex that broke apart after about 10 uses. So I went into this purchase apprehensive. Right out of the box it was broken. Flashing an E2(open lod) error code despite the lid being shut. I called the service number on the paperwork. They advised me they were a middle man who would forward my complaint and I'd receive an email in 3-5 business days with instructions on filing a claim for repair. Uh no that's not going to work. I didn't pay for a broken machine and I will not wait for a repair run around. So I called Amazon and they immediagy sent out a replacement machine no issues whatsoever. Dude really came through and saved the day. New machine arrived 3 days later with return shipping for the dud. Hooked the new one up and it's Amazing!

Overall I'm very pleased but will only give 4 stars due to the hassle of the broken one.
This washer is just like a large capacity one. It functions the same. Very easy to setup and easy to move with the wheels. Its perfect for small spaces or moving around a lot. I can wash a pair of jeans, socks, underwear and a tshirt in a typical load. Two pairs of jeans or several towels can sometimes overload it and it cannot auto balance. Overall it works great!
