The little fire hydrant pops up automatically when you unfold the pad, and it has a contrasting color that allows them to see it (while looking really cute). It's perfect size for a small dog to aim at, it's absorbant so it doesn't splash, and it's small enough that girl dogs can share the pad without it getting in the way. I have two toy poodles, one boy and one girl. They boy would never make it onto the pad (and nearly ruined my floor) because he didn't have anything to aim at. So I ended up creating my own hydrants out of cans of food wrapped in potty pads. They worked but it was a pain to create a new one each time I put out a new pad. This is so much better! I'm in love with these. Best of all, these are hands down some of the best quality potty pads I've ever used. Liquid "jellifies" almost instantly so they don't track wet footprints on the floor, and they absorb the smell.
I have had a 20 lb rescue dog for the last three years. He has not caught on to asking to go outside though he barks to get back in. Finally figured out he was peeing here and there - essentially on anything that sits on the floor in the house. A plain pee pad did not entice him but he uses these with the fire hydrant 😀. I do wish they were a little bigger because as others have said the pee reaches the edges of the pad and sometimes seeps out - likely because he is not hitting the target dead on. Love the fact though that now I know where to look and can just fold it up instead of wondering if and where he went. Added them to my subscribe and save!
Love this product! My 14 year old Jack Russell Terror wouldn't use a normal peepad (nothing to aim at!) and would mark anything he could. Not anymore! He now uses the pop up peepad and no more accidents!
These are FANTASTIC if you have a little piddler like I do! He would not go on other brands of pee pads, but this gives him something to aim at & he uses them faithfully. Thrilled!
I bought these pads in October 2018 after i received these I also bought a pack of 150 blue pads they were a famous dog trainers brand i thought wow there is alot more for aound the same price. Well guess what the pop ups far exceeded the blue ones not even in the same league. They were about same size but the material of pop up top quality using the blue ones i could just lay down nothing about the same results .

This is a genus invention. I'm so glad Bill invented it. The price is reasonable.....look around. I've had one down for days and there's no smell nor leak. I have 1 small male and he has used it several times. The pad is the best quality I've ever seen. The hydrant is brilliant. My Ricky likes a table leg. I'm trying to think how to change that one. The one he is using is in the bathroom, where he used to have a UGO DOG. I used to put twigs and sticks in it and it didn 't work. This is a terrific product made by a wonderful guy.
I have a dashound that we have a problem with him peeing on the wall. We ordered a small amount of days just in case they do homework. We were very pleased. It worked great. My male dog was all about peeing on the hydrant. Unfortunately I also have a female and she kept peeing off the side even though I put out a regular one for her
Where have these been, I absolutely love them, I would have to put the regular peepee pads all over the place, I would use at least 10, with these I just have to use 2, YES ONLY 2 all day, I only have a small dog but we’ve had two foxes in our fenced yard so I’ve been keeping him in, but when I have to leave the house for anything, these are PERFECT!!!!!
