Moluk Plui Rain Cloud Tub Toy

Moluk Plui Rain Cloud Tub Toy

Moluk Plui Rain Cloud Tub Toy

My son just received this for his first birthday and loves it! His older brothers (2 and 5) also love it! They love it because they can quickly fill the cloud and then let it rain, over and over again!
It only takes 12 seconds to fill the cloud up and then it will rain for about 9 seconds.
I love it because I can quickly fill it up and use the top hole to keep the water from leaking out until I'm ready to use the cloud to rinse my baby's hair out. I can stop the flow to control the amount of water let out too. It's like when you put a straw in a cup and place your finger over the top of the straw to keep the liquid in the straw.

The cloud holds about 2/3 cup of water.
It snaps together easily and with a little bit of pull it comes open so you can let it dry out or wash it out. The clasp are strong so that the cloud won't just fall apart while your child is playing with it.

I have nothing better to do than to write reviews about bath tubs and bath toys at 3 in the morning because I truely do sweat out the details and research in this beloved and sometimes feared chore.

My newest favorite bath toy is this. You submerge it in water, and it fills up perfectly. The size of the single hole on top of the cloud is perfect, and molded with pure smoothness. This is not a cheap watergun party favor from your kids' friends birthday. Those do not fill up well and you have to try all sorts of angles to see proper air bubbling. All angles work, but the best is simple no angle submerged. Same uniform size air bubbles pop up like a dance.

Next, you cover the hole with one finger and wrap your otherr fingers around. You life it up, higher than your toddler's head, and then you hold your breath, releasing the finger on top.

Downpour!

Okay, more a steady sprinkle, but delightful and quickly the storm is over and you need to refill.

To cleam or aerate: Squeeze on the sides of the cloud and a gap will appear at the centerline. Stick one fingernail from another hand in whilst squeezing in one hand, and pry it open. Voila. Lay open on a hand towel on a countertop. Dries completely in minutes. Is this patented? All bath toys need this mechanism. You'll see what I mean when you open it. No mold problems.

Object is a thing of beauty snapped back together and displayed on my bathroom counter. My only wish for improvement? A way for it to click side by side to other clouds for a real stormy experience. Like those atom molecules toys you see chemistry students play with...

I am always looking for fun bath time toys for my toddler with sensory issues. At first glance I wasn't too impressed. It's hard plastic and about the size of an adult male fist. Then I saw that this comes completely open for easy cleaning and drying to prevent mold and mildew. Then I used it in the bath, a big hit! He loved watching the air bubble up out of the cloud and then the "Rain" was gentle enough he didn't mind it "Raining" on him.

I purchased this for my 15 month old baby for bath time. Today we opened it up and I was impressed with this toy and considered it money well spent for the quality and ease of cleaning this toy. My child However seemed not show more interest in this than the barbie dolls in the bath tub. The following evening my 5 year old daughter saw this toy in the bath and said "its a SCIENCE EXPERIMENT!"
That statement from my 5 year old sold me completely on this item, I got online later that same evening to google steam bath toys.
My 5 year old shows interest in this toy and I am glad I get to play the science nerd cloud during bath time while my children play with the barbie dolls.

I purchased this toy for my great-nephew when he was only about 6 months old. His parents say that he absolutely loves playing with it in the bathtub, even now that he's over 1 year old. And bonus points to this toy, because his 4-year old sister loves playing with it in the bathtub, as well! His mom uses it to rinse my great-nephew's hair after it's been shampooed, and he loves "getting rained on." Very cute toy that will give pleasure in the tub for years to come!

So I teach kids how to swim and have a lot of “terrified of my face getting wet” kiddos. This thing is magic! They are so fascinated by it they don’t realize they are getting their face wet and they love to make it rain on my head too. Even my older kids who can swim love this thing... heck the teenage lifeguards get a kick out of it.

I love that I can snap it open to dry it no worries about mold. It has held up well.

I decided to get my niece a bunch of bath toys for her 1st birthday. This one is for a child a little older but I just couldn't pass it up. It's a teaching toy about cause and effect and I know she's little but that's really when you start to learn those things. The other reason was it was dishwasher safe and opened up score (no moldy toys).
This was a little smaller than I thought it would be and not as soft as a material but really it didn't matter to me. I was looking for toys you don't see everyday in the usual shopping places and this fit the bill!

We bought this toy as a birthday gift for our two-year-old nephew at a pool party. He played with it a little, but his 4-year old sister was able to grasp the concept making the"rain" start and stop. It held her attention much longer. The toy is hard, not at all soft or squishy. You have to take it apart to clean which isn't difficult for the adults. All in all, a unique toy that was fun to give and help the kids learn a little.

Plui has become my children's all-time favorite bath tub toy. It is such a simple concept and yet they are mesmerized with making the rain start and stop. Everyone that sees it loves it and asks how it works. It's very cool.

For those that are worried about mold inside, it is in two pieces and can come apart for cleaning. It is a great design and both my 3 and 6 year olds love it. Especially when they make it rain on each other! ;o)

I like that this extremely simple toy can introduce a little science into the life of my young nephews. They don't get it yet but maybe someday down the road they'll be learning about this in school and having played with this toy will help the lesson "click" in their minds. I also appreciate that you can separate the 2 halves and clean it out, some of their other bath toys have started to mold in the past from not being able to clean them.
