These work great. I live in Georgia and used it while mowing the grass in 95 degree heat and barely broke a sweat. It does dry out fairly quick in direct sunlight so I used my water bottle to keep it wet. Fits good, doesn't move around that much. I tucked the back of it under my shirt and it kept my back cool. It's very high quality. Some reviews say it's no different than a wet towel. Not true. You can't get a towel to stay on your head, a towel doesn't breathe well and is too heavy when wet. Great product.
Great product. The hoodie does cool one's head for 45 or so minutes. I was not expecting the split on the back nonetheless I can live with it. It's good and must have if one is working or playing outside. To activate the cooling is pretty easy. Soak the goodie and snap it couple times. I had used warm and cold water both made the goodie cold. I should note if one decides to purchase this hoodie, make sure one isn't wearing something like a white undershirt or any see though shirt.
So I bought this in stead of a chill-towel, I liked the hoodie idea and I have to say ti worked great during a 3-day outdoor rock festival in Central Florida. Temps were in the mid 90's full sun all day with humidity over 70%. HOT.
I either wore the hoodie/towel with the tails over my shoulders and shirtless, or even tying the two tails to a doorag style. Other times i tied the tails over face and mouth to avoid dust kick up in the dusty front stage, circle pits. I love that it stayed soft even as it dried, And, the black color It protected my balding head and shoulders and kept me cooler than everyone around me. I needed to periodically add water, wring and snap, but seriously avoided sunstroke or sunburn.
I bought this as a way of cooling down when dancing and it's awesome. At Decadence this year, surrounded by thousands of other ravers, I could soak it, snap it, toss it over my head or just around my neck and feel the instant coolness. I'd wear it while dancing and every 10 minutes or so, swing it over my head for a couple seconds and put it back around my neck. Sooo cooling. Perfect for preventing hyperthermia. Six hours of dancing and I only re-wet it three times.
I bought this to cover my Shrek-ish head and face while I'm in the gym, and in public in general for that matter. Loving it so far!!

I sweat BAD, and I have been trying to find a cap, hood, dew rag, and not finding success. Came across this and thought hey I can be a Ninja and stay cool why not. Well I am no Ninja but it certainly does what it claims that's keeping me cooler. Now it's not a ice chest on your head but it keeps you cooler and can be re-cooled just by ringing and shaking it out, it's pretty slick.
This thing is pretty nifty for someone who is outside alot in the southern heat. It fits my head well (I have no hair) and the long ends I like to wrap around my neck which helps even more with this horrible heat. The top does seem to dry out rather quickly in this blazing sun so you cant just keep snapping it cold again that situation so it might be worthwhile to carry a bottle of water with you to rewet it every 15-20 minutes if you are in extreme sun. All in all I see it as being a pretty worthwhile product to buy for me and it does say on the package that it will keep the temperature below it 30 degrees cooler and that part I cannot say is true I can say it will keep your head cooler but not by that much but that does not mean it is a bad product. Had it not stated the 30 degree thing I would have given it 5 stars.
I just received my Hoodie yesterday and I'm SO excited to use it, it's PERFECT! I was afraid it was going to be to thick to be comfortable under my hard hat, but it's ultra light and thin. It not only fits under my hard hat PERFECTLY, it also fits under my baseball cap PERFECTLY! I was also afraid it was going to be to dark a color and be to hot in the summer when I didn't have water around to get it damp, (I'm a truck driver) but the camo color is PERFECT too, it's more white than I was expecting and it's more grey than black. I'm going to buy two more right now so I always have a clean one around during the week.
I got one for my mom and me if you have a water bottle you can soak it and snap it out. I made the mistake of snapping it by the two lengths and ripped it but if you pull from the part of the hood that has the mission symbol and the lengths help together and you cat get it to cool down without ripping. It will drain excess fluid down your back so don't wear clothes that are see through and don't put the two lengths down the from of your shirt. Thy also have it in blue and camo grey. I love it so far and it quickly lowers my body temperature.
I used one this summer while putting up my fence. Helped out a lot, but its better if you tuck the tails into the back of your shirt so it stays put. May have to re-wet it more often than you would like. If you use this for running I imagine it would work a little better since you would have a breeze.
