This thing is AWESOME!!! Perfect for my apartment! Good size, it fits right in the bathroom where it's convenient to fill and drain it. I just put the clothes, water and soap in, set the timer and let it wash. Drain the water, fill again with clean water to rinse, set the timer. Then at the end put everything in the spinner and it spins all the water out! It doesn't get like jeans and stuff 100% dry but gets them to where they are barely damp! Then I just hang them and let them dry the rest of the way. Took 20 minutes to complete my whole first load, which was a pair of work pants, a skirt, 2 pairs of leggings, socks, underwear, and a pair of sweatpants. I'm in love!! In the photo is my cute little size reference, Brady!

WOW! I am super impressed! Fits a weeks worth of underwear and shirts in one load! The drain actually works with my clawfoot tub and hooks on perfectly but even if it didn't i could easily put casters on the bottom and roll it by the door to drain since i'm elevated here or like others have done, just use a bucket. it has an electrical pump to get the water out but i'm always thinking of (just in case scenarios). The cord is pretty short so i have to swing it out when i want to use it but it's ony 30lbs so super easy to do. It only takes a teaspoon of liquid detergent to get super sudsy. the water inlet thing could be used (it looks like a funnel so i'm not sure how it's supposed to secure to anything) but I just hang my detachable shower hose to fill it up. it doesn't take long at all and it has fill lines so you know when to stop. If you don't have a shower hose you can use a couple of pots of water instead. The spinner is really great and gets clothes almost dry. i've been doing about a month's worth of laundry with it since i unboxed it three hours ago and i'm almost done. it was very painless. Does not leak (ignore the part of the instructions where it says turn to drain before starting. don't do that. it's very messy lol. When it's not in drain the floor stays dry lol. Washer really works great (look at the before and after photos of the water). VERY GLAD I BOUGHT THIS.

I purchased this in July 2016 and it’s now October 2018 and it still runs like a champ. We actually bought a new $300 portable washer with fancy buttons and controls and returned it because we like this one better. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under age 5 and we do several loads of laundry a day. This machine is a life saver and I love it so much. I will be so sad when it finally does need to be replaced. I will probably purchase this same machine again.

We got our Della yesterday and I have already done 2 weeks worth of laundry (We were avoiding the laundromat as we knew this was coming). We purchased this washer because we live on a third floor walk up and wanted to save money and energy on the laundromat and also not haul a full size washer and dryer up three floors!

I have to say I have been impressed so far! It holds more laundry than I anticipated (about 1/3 a normal size load) though I have been careful not to overload it and stress the machine. The agitator is powerful and removes way more dirt than our community laundry machines (makes me feel a little gross about what we've been wearing)!

I did about 13-14 loads of laundry yesterday, so I feel like I've got a pretty good feel for what this little machine can do. The set up was super easy once I figured out where to put it. The inlet hose for our bathroom sink perfectly, though I have read other users had issues with the fit. I simply ran the drain hose into our toilet (after a good bleach down, of course).

I chose to use the spin/rinse features together rather than rinsing in the agitator side. This worked perfectly! I set the spin timer for 3 minutes and ran the water into that side for about two them turned it off and let the rest spin out for about a minute. The clothes came out super clean and about 75% dry.

I don't have many complaints about this washer, but here are a few things to mention...
If you are doing several loads in a row (like more than about 3) you will need to give the pump time to cool off a little because it struggles a little bit when it gets too warm. I did notice that occasionally on the spin cycle I had to encourage the pump to get started by shaking the drain hose a little to help the water start to flow, but then it would get started and drain no problem.
One that note. You do not need to manually turn on the "drain" option during the spin cycle it turns on automatically for that side only! You do still need to manually turn the drain option on to remove water from the agitator side.

I found that using 1/4-1/2 a capful of our regular liquid detergent was plenty but not too much and everything rinsed very clean! Because we drained the water into the toilet I could easily see when the water was running clean and the rinse was sufficient.

It is much more labor intensive than using a traditional washer and dryer, but, in my opinion, well worth the cost and effort involved with schlepping all of our laundry to the laundromat and waiting around for hours to finish everything. I'm so grateful to be able to do laundry in our own home while getting other stuff done! Certainly a relief! I really do feel that our clothes are cleaner than they ever have been (even considering when we previously had a traditional washer and dryer)!

The spinner works wonderfully and our clothes dried within a couple of hours.

This machine is very light (about 30 lbs) and has handles. I am 9 months pregnant and was able to easily move it from one room to another even though it has no wheels (maybe a useful feature in the future).

I washed everything from towels to sweatpants and a sheet set without any problems. You have to split the loads into half or a third for the spin side, though. I found our clothes were super clean never running the agitator side longer than 6 minutes and never running the spin side longer than 3 minutes (with rinse water flowing into it for 2 of the 3 minutes).

A great buy and it literally pays for itself in a few months. Well worth the investment to be able to do your laundry without leaving your house.

I love my new laundry gal 'Della'! She does just what she is supposed to do-washes my clothes clean fast and spins them almost dry! And very few wrinkles because most only spin for minute or so. She is perfect in the motorhome shower!

Description

Well, for the most part it works well. It cleans surprisingly well. And it gets the clothes mostly dry, so that only a brief air drying is required. However, there are a few design flaws with this unit. First, the pump is not strong enough to actually pump water up any elevation at all. Maybe in part do the the improper draining, residual soap and smell is also a problem. We fixed this by running while sitting in the bathtub. That seem to be the only way to get the unit to drain properly.

I ordered this based on the numerous reviews and for once, I'm very happy and agree with the other opinions. This thing works like a washing machine, is relatively small (Somewhat larger than I expected, but not enormous). The spinner is awesome and got the test load of underwear and shirts washed in about the time the automatic machine could (about 20 minutes total, with me babysitting it from excitement). Everything was dry once we hung it and ran out for about 3 hours for groceries. Fancy!

I did keep the machine on a water absorbing pad and double checked after washing to make sure it wasn't leaking on the floor. So far, no leaks, the only water left behind was from user laziness.

The only complaint is that the motor cannot drain water at toilet height, and I had to requisition a dish pan (the sink sized kind you can wash dishes in) to pour the water down the tub. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice if it could OOMPH the water into the toilet or sink. Also, some people may be put off by the "brand new fresh from China" smell. In a big enough space, it's not offensive, but I wouldn't run it in a closet of a bathroom with the door closed.

Additional tips: If you're too cheap for a drying rack, a $1.50 pack of hangers, $1 clothespins, and a cheapo shower rod suspended in the middle of the shower is working out quite well.

So far so good. The box wasn't heavy, I was able to carry it upstairs myself. Setup took minutes. After reading a ton of other reviews, I immediately set it on a short tv stand (about 10" high). I put it in my bathroom and used the shower head to fill and let the water drain into the tub. So easy and no issues whatsoever. I am waiting for my dolly to arrive so I can slide it around easily- although it is not difficult now. The only issue I had was when I thought it was broken after the first wash because the cord was kind of short and I wanted to extend it's reach so I plugged it into a surge protector. No good! The machine wouldn't run. When I realized the issue, it was just fine. I have a second tension rod in the shower, got some hooks, and hangers and voila! I added vinegar and fabric softener to the rinse cycle to soften the clothes but that's still a work in progress. My washcloths weren't as soft as when they are exit the dryer but I may have to adjust the amount of vinegar used. Life is good. I will not be back at the laundry doing our clothing for a long time! This may be the best purchase I've made since buying my hybrid car years ago!

I live in a condo, 5 floors above its laundry room. Our elevator was about to be taken out of service for replacement for 3+ months. I didn't want to have to take bulky laundry up and down stairs, so I did some research and settled on this Della for my needs in this period. 4 months later, I am pleased with my purchase. I have used it for all sorts of items: twin sized sheets and blankets, towels, and regular clothing. I hang my damp clothes on a wooden drying rack after I am finished. After the first two loads, I got used to this smaller, but wonderful machine. A couple of observations: 1. Everything but my blankets fits into the spin dryer, so larger items like these, I hang wet over the towel rack over my bath tub. 2. I think our water is on the hard side, as some of my items came out a little on the stiff side when completely dry. Adding a little fabric softener to the rinse has basically taken care of this issue. 3. It's great for the specialty loads too, like colors that will run. The Della's drainage is great, so you don't have to worry about rinse water from these kinds of loads, blending with the load done afterwards.

I also had trouble attaching the hose for incoming water, but I just pour buckets of water into the wash side, enough to wash the load I am doing. The draining hose is already connected by the manufacturer, so there are no problems with that. All in all, this has served me well for the past 4+ months and I am ditching my condo's laundry room, and will continue to use the Della, although the elevator is now fully installed and functioning. I don't know why I waited so long to get one of these small washers. The Della is perfect for my day to day needs.

It works much better than many renter options for some my method might take too much effort- but it works well given how small the device is and how much clean laundry I get. I have it setup to move in/out of my shower.

Mine was clearly used when I got it, I'll upload the video when possible. That being said I decided to keep in because my local place charges an insane amount 4:50 small - $9 for a larger cycle. I'd spend 30-50 every time I'd visit the wash and dry for a few loads because the machines were terrible and the dryers were even worse). I'm very pleased with it. If you use tide/strong detergent it works wonderfully for larger loads. I'm talking regular large loads, multiple pairs of shirts and pants 10-16 pieces of adult medium/large women's clothing, or 3 pairs of sheets etc or 4 - 6 towels. The machine works best with medium or large loads. I think it makes more noise when it was more water than clothing, so a tiny load isn't great but it works. My methods use a lot of water not sure how it will work with limited water, OR another type of detergent. If this doesn't work with other types of detergent I strongly suggest trying Tide, it is a very powerful cleaner.

How I do my laundry:
1) I fill the machine up with clothing to about 70 -80% full. Then I take the clothing out before adding water (to make sure I don't put to much clothing in).

2) 2-4 minute of washing for a pre rinse and then drain (you don't have to fully drain I do mine after it goes through 2 steps of drainage- a. easy drainage full blast b. then it starts to making a sound due to less water. I turn it off once it seems like "it's straining" which I doubt it is but since I'm adding more water it doesn't need to be dryer ready.

3) I fill up my tide measuring cup to 4 bars. Make sure the drain hose is in upward position/ off. Add water about 1/3 to 1/2 of the machine length, turn off water. Then add detergent 2 out of the 4 bars of detergent, mix it in the water.

3) Add all the clothing, then put water back on; fill up until the clothing is mostly covered then add the rest of the detergent and hand mix to make sure the detergent gets spread out over the top. You have to keep an eye on the water levels if doing large loads. The machine has an over flow if you add too much water- you'll know you start to hear a "leaking sound". What you're hearing is an overflow which ends up at first underneath and if it's really overflowing it'll enter into the spin dry section. You can easily let out/drain the water if it's too much by using gravity to let out a little water.

4) put on wash cycle for 15 minutes
5) when timer goes off, open the lid and rotate the clothing from the bottom of the washer so that it sits at the top, and all the clothing that was on top is now on the bottom, so that all the clothing swap positions. I literally do a scooping motion and just flip the bundle. Do a "scent test" if the clothing that was on the bottom of the machine smells clean the load is fine you have got the detergent ratio right, go ahead and wash the load for another 15 minutes. Drain the water after these "2 wash cycles." Drain it the same way from the prerinse

6) Do a rinse cycle. Fill the machine up again, run the washer for 2-5 minutes. If the detergent ratio is too much you'll realize it in the phase. ***you can't skip this step*** when I forget I always notice that the clothing has detergent after the rinse, which makes it feel tacky or grimy. You have to rinse out all the detergent or you get this dirty feeling from having too much soap.

7) drain the water- this is the last drainage so you have to let it go until no water is coming out of the drain hose.

8) put the clothing in the spin dryer. Mine is powerful enough that at the moment 1.5 minutes is more than enough. It doesn't really do much after the first 30-40 seconds. If you don't have a lot of clothing in the spin cycle it was wobble around and make a ton of noise. I usually fill mine as much as possible and put the little topper on - that white topper is an absolute necessity don't lose it or the dry cycle is insanely loud. With the large loads I hold the washer down for 10-20 seconds until it starts to spin quickly then calms down. I let it go another minute or so then when/if it starts to make noise/ move in the last 10-20 seconds I hold it down again.

9) let the spin cycle completely stop on its own- if you open the top there seems to be safety mechanism that attempts to quickly stop the cycle- i'm guessing it's made of plastic and can break with use. So let the machine take that 30 seconds to come to a full halt.

10) remove "dried" clothing, do next batch of wet, I usually fill up the little spin dryer as much as possible and end up doing 2 or 3 spin cycles. I then put the clothing on a hanger and let it air dry. Some clothing dries quickly, something like towels depends on your area. I live in new york and my apartment /temp is currently good enough to 100-85% air drying often overnight usually everything within 24hrs.
