Great little fridge and freezer. Would buy again
I am not the original purchaser of a new magic chef refrigerator but have acquired three separate units from the original owners. All three units had quit cooling and were offered cheap on Craigslist. Each unit had an identical failure of the evaporator fan motor and each was generally about three years old. The compressor will not run until the fan is running. The fan is easy to replace and is available for about $60.This is a good little refrigerator (when working) but one should opt for the extra warranty coverage or demand a couple of spar fan motors.
Kind of disappointed when we took it out of the box and discovered the corner was broken and so was the crisper drawer. Otherwise, I think it's probably a really good refrigerator. Plenty of space to store things and the freezer is a decent size.
