I'm just starting out so I have little comparison. My Mother was artistic and used several mediums, from watercolor to calligraphy, decoupage, all sorts of things. While I don't think I have any particular talent, I have some things in my head I'd like to get out and I thought watercolors might be the most forgiving start, since that's most of what I remember from Mom's teaching. This seemed like a good time to start.
I love that it's 24 colors, in relatively smaller tubes. I know the basics of color making, but I'm pretty happy to be able to have lots of shades to start with for a more expanded palette. It's good for me to not have to deal with larger tubes that make me feel like I have to use them quickly or waste them.
These seem to blend really well and are what I consider as pretty vibrant. I'm not using real canvas yet, just thick stock and cardboard-backed fine grain sheets, but they seem to stick very well.
I'll udpate if any nasty surprises pop up, but so far I'm really excited to begin this little adventure.

My wife's long time hobby is Chinese water color painting and she really likes these paints. Her two main words about them are "vibrant and smooth." The colors are vivid and vibrant and she likes the variety of them, and the paint itself is very easy to use - mixing it and then how they are so easy to manage with her brushes. She was surprised at the high quality for the price - very pleased by these watercolor paints.
I am not an artist just a person who likes to create greeting cards, etc. and do art projects with my niece. This is a wonderful set of 24 watercolor paints. The colors are vibrant, they blend well & are a joy to use.
I can use watercolors so much more easily. I love the tubes, love the vibrant colors, even the consistency for mixing colors is really nice. These colors go on smoothly - the blend well, you can apply in varying shades super easily, and the set is easy to store!

I have used a few different types of watercolor paints and these are a great option! Vibrant and vivid pigment! Smooth and very blendable. It was perfect for me because I am just starting out painting and it gave me a lot of colors to work with, without having to think about mixing primary colors.

It was a delightful surprise to be offered these watercolor paints on my Amazon Vine queue. Indeed, though I have been doing watercolor painting since well before I became a reviewer, I don't recall ever having been offered art supplies to review before. This is a set of 24 colors and is rich in the earth tones and greens, which is unusual for a kit and from my perspective very welcome indeed. They have significantly extended my palette. The small photo above shows a watercolor sketch I did before writing my review to test out these paints, and I am extremely delighted with their color intensity and quality.
I paint, and the majority of what I do is watercolor and Prismacolor because my work is almost always for publication and needs to look good, be fast to produce, and the materials NEED to work. Surprise: Kingart's watercolors, like their other paints, win. Rich texture, vibrnt color and easy-to-mix is #1 with this set. 24 tubes will satisfy any artist, and as you know, the best tools get the best results. Thank heaven for Amazon carrying these! This set of 24 water color paints was very easy to use. The cap can be used to pierce the protective seal. They are smooth coming out of the tube and the colors are wonderful. They mix well with water and my small painting turned out well. The colors, once applied, do dry a fast so it's good if you want your painting to be completed and dry, but I noticed that when blending colors, they became dry and it didn't blend as I wanted it to. But, overall, these are very good paints and I recommend them. They are 12ml. Small tubes. Just so you know.
