Our first two cameras and they work as advertised!! I had no difficulty connecting and it even reconnects every week when our generator exercises and shuts power off and on. May add a couple more for other rooms!! The audio/speaker works well also! Love being able to "pan" the camera around the house and watch the dogs ( and sitter ) when out of town ! Have received alerts that the CO2 monitor went off!! Recommend this product!
So I think this system is easy to setup and have had no issues this far. I haven't run the update as that's where I've read people have had issues so as long as mine works I'm not updating. These have a much better picture then the 720 ones and is very noticeable.
The camera itself works as advertised. The motion tracking is reasonable though not perfect. The video quality is reasonable in this price range and the panning from the app works fairly well. What made me take a star of (and almost 2 stars off) is the fact that you can't schedule the motion tracking time periods. It's too much hassle to turn it on and off all the time. I want to turn it on say between 11pm and 6am and then again from 8am to 5pm or so. When it's on all the time, it constantly pings my phone when I'm home which is too much. But without "arming" it, you don't get any recordings and motion tracking. It's all or nothing unless there are settings I haven't figured out yet. Perhaps it works better if you tie it into their alarm system but I don't use their alarm system. For the price, it's a pretty good camera. Improve the software as I've outlined and it becomes a great deal.
It was exactly what I was looking for and like the camera. However, it does not work on a 5MHz network. Unfortunately, my wireless router does not give me the flexibility to choose between the two speeds and the camera would not connect to my network. The website did not state the limitation so I assigned only four stars. A slip of paper in the box stated it required a 2.4MHz network.
Camera works fine to check on house and pets. The night vision capability allows you to see in dim rooms or at night when the lights are out. I know some people unplug daily because they do not want to risk someone watching them. An easier way is to just throw a towel over it. The microphone is very sensitive. The speaker is not very loud on the unit. I have tried using the unit to hold a conversation with my wife but due to the system lag time it is very difficult. I would buy again.

Description
The iSmartAlarm iCamera KEEP Pro 1080p HD Wi-Fi Motion-Tracking Home Security Camera is the first DIY smart home security camera to offer motion tracking. With a 4.0-megapixel image sensor, 1080p HD video, custom Activity Zones, sound recognition of smoke alarm and carbon monoxide sirens, and much more, the iCamera KEEP Pro is the most complete smart home camera ever. Users can also connect with hundreds of connected devices using the iSmartAlarm IFTTT channel and use voice control with the iSmartAlarm Amazon Alexa skill.
I had a very specific purpose behind finding a security camera that worked - and this has satisfied every requirement. After trying two others and being so frustrated including countless hours on support help lines that couldn't help, this camera easily connects every time. I travel a lot and wanted a camera in my hotel room. Challenge with the other cameras was that when I would disconnect and move I'd have to go through the entire set-up process again - and often could not get the cameras to work. This iSmart Pro is incredibly simplistic and connects with my JetPack (MiFi) simply by plugging in the camera's power cord to an outlet. The functions are also excellent being able to rotate the camera (360 degrees) from my phone anywhere I happen to be. It gives you SIM card as well as a sufficient amount of cloud storage. Hands down - this was a great find!!!
It almost sets it self up. Very easy. Only problem is the small picture you get in using iSmart Alarm app. Most give a whole screen on cell phone. This is a small section and can't be in larged. They need to make it fit the screen and rotates.
This is a great system for someone who simply needs a security camera that is no-hassle. For anyone looking for a configurable IP camera, this is not for you. It is not customizable. It is not accessible from a browser. It is a closed, proprietary system. You cannot access the cameras from any app other than the iSmartAlarm app.
The inability to customize the camera’s settings limits the applications for these cameras. For example, I miss the ablity to disable the IR illuminators independently of the night vision mode. This would permit you to point the cameras through a window at night, while using external illuminators. I use this setup to protect the cameras from the weather (since they are not suitable for outdoor use). My other IP cameras had this feature as well as many other settings that could be tailored to specific conditions. The other cameras could be viewed through a browser, or other third-party applications- including Apple TV - not so for these cameras.
One of the cameras best features often causes trouble. These cameras can swivel almost 360 degrees. I often find that one, or more, of the cameras has swiveled to stare at its own mount. The problem is that they get stuck in this position until someone intervenes. In my case, hours go by before I notice that they are stuck. Under normal conditions the cameras will track motion. Occasionally, they spin all the way around, but they are supposed to return to their ‘set point’ after a brief period.
For some reason the cameras often lose audio during motion recording. The cameras are supposed to capture audio with the motion video recordings, but they are often silent. I have been able to resolve this by restarting the camera (you have to unplug the camera, it is not possible to restart the camera from the app - a major problem if you are away), but it eventually happens again. The cameras have the ability to record 24/7. The 24/7 recording always has audio - which is good - unless you need to disable the audio for legal reasons - which is not possible.
Great camera.. no extra charge for storage.. already caught someone messing around where he shouldn't have been messing.. downside is that 10 second clips are too short.. should be more like 20 seconds..
4 years with my iSmartAlarm alarm in two house. This camera was an awesome addition
