As of 12/9/2018 about a month after buying, the baby monitor still looks good. We bought this in preparation for our daughter coming in January and so far have seen minimal to no issues.
This is a great monitor. A bit pricey, but worth it for the features for our growing family. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the picture for both night vision and regular- the functions worked surprisingly well over our internet, a high-speed connection.
My boyfriend uses an iPhone and I have a Samsung. The app on both devices works fine, but you will find a lot more negative reviews in the app store for the android than you'll see in the apple store.
For Android: When loaded into the app, it will run in the background and drain the battery a little faster- with androids the battery is already something to be concerned about, so there's not much you can do but keep a charger handy. If you leave the app running and leave the page, or have multiple pages running in the background, you will run the risk of the app itself crashing- if that happens you will need to force-exit it and reload into the camera, depending on how much is saved to your phone it will need to load back in. For me, this takes about 45 seconds.
For me, this isn't an issue- but fair warning to some looking to buy it. If you want an instant connection all the time, a classic monitor that comes with its own screen may be better than using your android.
For the iPhone, the video comes in more zoomed in than the android for some reason but works fine.
The app itself is pretty nice. It's organized, comes with many songs and story options and works anywhere with internet or data. You can set it to alert you if it senses movement, if the temperature or humidity of the room changes too much, or even if there's a strange odor. The swivel movement of the video is capable of being changed right from your phone screen. There's also the option to take videos and pictures and save them and even post them to a convenient app timeline which you can invite family to so they can get an update if you wanted.
Lastly, of what impressed me was the two-way talk capability- it was far clearer than expected. We've played with it so much since getting it and while I don't know how often we'll be using it, it is certainly nice to have!
I'm sure the quality will vary from phone to phone and depending on how much junk is saved to it, but for my moderately used phone and my boyfriend's heavily used phone- it works just fine. Like many tech products, things do change sometimes, I'll try to come back and give an update on the quality when the baby is actually here, but for now- a solid 4 to 4.5 stars.
I went down from five simply because the app, while nice, does have a habit of freezing, crashing and needs to be reloaded every once in a while. This is common for androids with any app, not just this one- but it is an issue that people might want to know before they buy.
I found that this was a really good baby monitor for the price that I paid for it, but I got it on sale for about half off.
PROS:
- Awesome video quality
- Night Vision
- 2-way communication
- WiFi enabled to stream over the net
- Plays Music (huge selection, plus can add your own)
- Camera can turn 360 degrees so you can see anywhere in room.
CONS:
- 2-way communication doesn't work well over the net, because the mic picks up what you're saying through the speaker, and there's feedback. Really can only talk OR listen at the same time.
- Night vision makes a very audible "click" noise when switching back and forth, and in twilight lighting, it sometimes can't decide whether to use night vision or not, leading to annoying clicking sounds. I opted to just turn night vision OFF.
- Speaker quality - I love the amount of music available, though most of it is definitely catered to a baby, so nothing that her dad would want to listen to, but there's still a lot of it. Unfortunately, the speaker is HORRIBLE and can't play anything over the most minuscule volume without crackling and breaking up.
Overall, I'd buy it again, but not at full price. It works for what it's supposed to do and a bit more, but not quite as well as it could.
I purchased the iBaby M7 Monitor in July to prepare for the birth of my baby and has been using it for 4 months now. It is super easy to install and has many great features:
1. I can monitor my baby with iBaby app on iphone and ipad anywhere and anytime. It is easy to rotate the camera with a touch of screen using the app, and we can take photos and videos to record baby's precious moments. The night vision also checks out to be great.
2. I can listen or speak to my baby. And it also plays lullaby, songs, white noise and tells stories.
3. Great customer service! Within the app there is a "Contact iBaby“ button. I have used this feature to call them a couple of times. And the iBaby team really went above and beyond to help.
There is one thing that I think would be helpful for potential buyers. You may need the wall mount kit for the monitor unless you have a shelf on the wall or a surface area to hold it. I didn't realize that and bought the kit afterwards. It would be nice if the monitor include the wall mount kit too.
I have used the iBaby M7 for a few days now and it is by far the best baby monitor that I have seen and used. First, installation was extremely simple and connected to my home WiFi instantly. Second, the clarity of this monitor is amazing, even at night when my daughters room is dark. The ability to play songs and white noise is a blessing as it helps my daughter sleep. The option to add additional viewers is great too so my wife can also have access to the camera and monitor our daughter. You can even grant access to friends and family and restrict their abilities, so you can have them be able to view the monitor but not move the camera or adjust any of the setttings. I highly recommend this monitor and have suggested it to my friends who are expecting. You will not regret getting this monitor
This monitor is great. You could rotate and zoom the camera with ease. Video quality is superb and you could take pictures of your baby. Night vision clarity is excellent. But, in my opinion, what makes it shine is, its other qualities. You could monitor the CO2 level of the room and help your child breathe clean air. You can talk and listen to your baby with a great sound quality. You can play songs, lullabies and even have the monitor read bed time stories. As for the last but not the least you could adjust the alarm settings of the monitor way you like (and believe me there are lots of alarm types such as diaper change, motion, temperature etc.). One important note; you will need a solid wi-fi network to experience the great qualities of this machine.
All in all, it is perfect. You won't regret buying it.

We haven’t had to use this a lot yet because my daughter sleeps I put room with us still but the few times we have it has worked great for watching her and the sound. We also love the alerts so we don’t have to watch the monitor the second it senses her movement or any sound.
I’ve even logged in to show friends how I can watch from anywhere and talk through it and be able to pan the whole room is cool.
I’m excited to eventually use it in her room once we transition her to the crib. I’ll more than likely keep this as a monitor in our living room even when she is older just to have to communicate with people at home or use as a nanny cam type thing even for our dogs.
I love how compatible it is with the phone and doesn’t use much battery. I also love the music and projection light on the ceiling with stars and shapes. Very cold and high tech.
Sometimes it lags or almost spams when she was in the swing but it’s like 1 second delay and not enough to bug me at all. Good night vision too!
The only thing that scared me was the CO2 reading one night said unhealthy when she was in the room but we read reviews online that said that part isn’t accurate. Doesn’t bother me it’s not. The temperature is accurate however.
I got this camera to see my baby while I was away at work. It worked wonders at the beginning, I could see him, communicate with him, see the temperature and humidity of the room etc. Until one day the nannies started to hear every conversation I had at work! The app went crazy. It turned on and off randomly and made a horrible noise at the baby’s room. I had to disconnect it. I don’t want to turn it on again while the baby is asleep since I’m afraid it will make the noise again and wake up the baby.
Our second ibaby monitor, love it and have never had issues. Very easy setup, I love being able to check in on room while at work, app works(not the most intuitive though). I have no connectivity issues, we love how the M7 works on our network. We love how the temperature and air quality are on screen always and may not be 100% accurate, but very close and in range that helps with making changes. I can talk to my daughter through speaker, have also used to keep an eye on pet dog. Customer support took some time to reach out but responded and even called me to help!! Would definitely do business with them again and would buy another monitor if needed. We also have the mounting plate that helps with camera angle.
I used to have the iBaby M6T Baby Monitor and I thought that was good but this iBaby M7 is even more amazing! Everything that M6T did well the M7 does plus more at a way cheaper price than the competitors. I love the moonlight projection it does on the ceiling my son loves it and on top of that it also has 100s of sounds including white noise which is a big plus. Literally this baby monitor is an all in one device it replaces so many devices. The 1080p video quality is superb and the fact it can use not only 2.4 Ghz Wireless Frequency but 5.0 Ghz is a huge plus so that the video quality when watching your little one is that much more smoother and clearer. The M7 Baby Monitor has so many features that are so useful like it can let you know if the room temperature is too hot, or too humid. It can even alert you if your baby is crying or is moving. One of the best features I would say is the fact I can share the camera with my wife so that she can view our little guy on her phone as well, it even allows you to give certain rights for certain people. iBaby Labs really created a great product with this one. We purchased the iBaby M6 when our second child was born in 2015, and it has been a blessing to have for the past several years. We eventually moved it to our third child’s bedroom when he was born in 2017, and only recently decided to upgrade to the M7 due to the new music features, 1080p video, and star light projection. The app is simple but can be used across all phone and tablets and we can even invite Grandma to view the monitor on her phone as a guest user when she watches the kids for us. The new M7 has thousands of songs predownloaded including lullabies and is snappier than the M6. Highly recommend this monitor for babies, children, and any other home monitor needs!
