I love this Dot clock. For the price I think it is a great value. The speakers really make a difference. It makes the Dot considerably louder and has a decent sound. It is not stereo(like the dot) It has inserts so you can use the Echo Insert instead of a dot. you can use the 1st or 2cd generation Dot's in these. It also has a battery backup in case of a power failure. The one thing I do not like is that when you set the clock via the buttons on the bottom.. you can not adjust the hours and minutes separately. you have to just press the + or - buttons and wait for the minutes to reach 60 before the hour advances.. Not a big deal. All in all, it does the job and looks and sounds good.

Works great with echo dot, clock is nice, dimmable in 5 steps, only thing I was disappointed with was that there is no wire cover in the back. The wires stick out a little but no big deal. Sound is ok, just what you would expect, is a little better than the dot by itself.

We use this as an alarm clock and listening to occasional music. It has a good sound. When connected to an Echo Dot, it's probably on par with a first-gen Echo or Echo Tap. Display is easy to read in all lighting.

We live in the mountains and radio reception is not the best. This allows us to listen to our favorite music and it also replaces the alarm clock
