Rit All-Purpose Powder Dye, Dark Green

I used the bucket dying method on a white 100% cotton dress I bought from a thrift store. It worked perfectly. No blotchy bits or anything to give away that this dress was ever anything but yellow. The key is to follow the instructions. You'll want to use a cup of salt and a little squirt of soap with your hot water, and make sure everything is completely dissolved before dying your fabric. Also prewet the fabric. The RIT website has very clear instructions with various methods of dying. I highly recommend RIT dye.

I used this navy dye to color a new navy t-shirt that I had ruined when bleach splashed on it. I followed the directions exactly for stove-top processing and used a whole package of dye. I cannot tell that the shirt was ever damaged.

Note that you should use two packets if you want a dark dark green. I stirred mine for an hour and this is what it looked like. Super even, which is great, but not my favorite color. If I dye it again, I'll do it with two packets of green and one packet of blue.

I used this color among other 'camo' colors to dye some German Snow Ponchos (surplus) so they wouldn't all be white. The liquid and the powder both worked well. I didn't notice a difference between them besides cost.

I used oxiclean and a hot water cycle after to clean out the wash machine and never had any left over dye mess with any other clothes.

There are a lot of color combos you can make with RIT dye - [...] check out their site to see which colors you need.

I have a pair of suit pants I wear for work that are perfect. The tailoring, the fit, everything is great about them which is why I wear them so much. Over time the knees have been getting a bit worn. Not being one to give up so easily on something I love I decided what did I have to lose in dying (sp?) them. I followed the instructions and honestly the pants look brand new. I've used Rit for shirts and stuff too. Easy to use and a quality product.

Used a pack of three to dye a light purple coat a dark warm brown in my washing machine. Worked great. I followed their directions exactly and had no trouble at all. My machine was clean. I kept a wet wrag with me and babysat the washine machine. Actually had it was two cycles in a row to get to the 30 minutes of agitation that the instructions suggested. Yay - Otherwise, I was going to donate my light purple coat!

I used this to dye a jean jacket that I distressed and bleached. I only wanted it to be a very light blue so I mixed it with extra water and only left it in the dye for half the recommended time. It came out exactly how I wanted it

Bought this to dye my daughter's gii. I used the washing machine and followed the instructions on the back. Her gii came out a beautiful, bright fuchsia and was a very even color all over. Very easy to use, and didn't make a mess. I followd the instructions on the box after I was through and ran a cycle to clean my machine too - no evidence of pink left in the washer.

I USED THIS TO DYE FOR MY SYNTHETIC LACE FRONT. HOWEVER, IT DIDNT DO TOO MUCH, BUT THE FABRIC PART OF THE LACE FRONT WAS REALLY PINK. I CANNOT BASH THE PRODUCT BECAUSE IT'S REALLY HARD TO DYE SYNTHETIC HAIR AND THIS IS FABRIC DYE, SO I DECIDED I WILL BUY A BRIGHT PINK AND LEAVE OVERNIGHT OR FOR 12 HOURS.

I have been in my apt. for 11 yrs. and did not want to change the carpet because I am renting, the rug look nice still but I wanted a different color, It was the typical beige for apartments. I asked management do they replace carpets (which is new management now and they said they do not do carpets and I could replace it if I wanted to or just do hard wood floors.( I like carpet) so searching for a while it would be to exspensive for carpet and I came across a website where you can dye carpet with Rit dye, and it works. I mixed the dye in a spray bottle and dyed my carpet. looks brand new, and still have plenty of dye left.
