I like the show mode. It's interesting to talk to Alexa to play music, get useful information, and display a clock on my night stand. The processor seems slow. And with all android platforms its a pain to side-load certain apps. But the one thing I could use while traveling would be a removable screen cover.
Otherwise for the price its a good entry level tablet.
The charging port gets warm off the dock. You have to slide it back and forth to connect the terminals. But Alexa is fun. Ask her if so and so is beautiful. You could also run your Amazon fire stick from your Amazon fire Kindle.
Update 4/8/19: still working perfectly.
I ordered a used Fire 10 from the "all of the options" button. Curiously that option on appeared when I accessed the Amazon site from another person's computer. It was not available directly from my account. What's up with that, Amazon?
The tablet I ordered was listed as being in "acceptable" condition, with moderate signs of use, so I was surprised when it arrived to see that it looked absolutely brand new! I spent an hour loading software and testing things out, and everything appears to be in perfect working orded. This is the second the me that I have ordered a used Amazon device. I assume that they are from the Amazon trade in program, and the cost about half as much as a new one. So far that has worked out great for me!
I will update this review to report on how things work out of very time.
Oh, BTW, the tablet is great! I have all three Fire tablet midels, and this one is faster, clearer, and bigger. I don't think I will be taking this thing out on the road much (that's what my Fire 7 is f or), but it works well at home.
Great product and it is so easy to use. I just wish you could also have a case on the fire and also use the charger, but maybe that is coming in the future.
I use my dock and tablet every day! I love it!
