LA Linen 60-Inch Wide Natural Burlap , 10 Yard Roll

This burlap is so thick and so nice. It is so much nicer than anything you can buy at Hobby Lobby or any of those types of stores. And the price just cannot be beat! So far I've made curtains for my kitchen and I plan to make floor to ceiling curtains for my guest bedroom. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to make something that will last like curtains, pillows, etc. The shipping was fast as lightening too. Great overall experience!

I bought this burlap to protect my wife's favorite plants over the winter - she covers them in mulch and burlap. But, this burlap - although inexpensive - is almost too nice to use on her plants. It is very smooth and not as course as most burlap. Well worth the price. I'm sure the plants will think they are very special.

Exactly what I was looking for! This was well constructed burlap and had edge stitching that held it all together. I needed exactly 60" width for the project piece and the length of this roll allows me to replace this piece 2 more times. I would recommend this if you want good quality burlap.

This burlap sure seems to be superior to burlap I have purchased elsewhere in the past. Seems to have a tighter weave and strands. Great price for the 20 yard X 5 ft. roll. I wish it came in 6 ft. height, as that would allow me to make my landscaping wraps tallerto keep the deer out of my evergreen bushes in the winter. I would purchase again without question. I graded a four star instead of a five due to the fact that the roll was roughly spliced together towards one end, which would have caused a problem for someone needing a nice continuous flow to the material. Not so much of a problem for me for what I used it for.

Bought burlap to make an Oogie Boogie Halloween costume. Worked prefectly. Itchy as all hell though. I would recommend wearing clothes underneath any costumes you make with this product.

  • 100% Natural Jute Burlap
  • LA Linen's Burlap has brought new life to a fabric made for centuries. Our Burlap is made from 100% natural Jute fiber as it has been for over 200 years, with minimal processing, and as anything natural, scent, fiber dust and color variation is part of the characteristics of the fabric.

We have created this Decorative fabric to be more durable, and easier to wash and maintain, however that familiar odor and dust of the jute fiber is part of the nature of the fabric.
  • This odor and dust are not from any chemical used in the making of the fabric and is completely safe, and it would dissipate over time with use. To expedite this, you can simply air out the fabric in open air, or use steam on the fabric.
  • Please keep in mind since this natural fiber is biodegradable, Dry cleaning or spot cleaning is recommended, and soaking the fabric in water can damage the fabric. With proper care, this piece will give you years of use and will create a natural, rustic look of this beautiful fabric.

Description

Burlap is tough and durable enough for use in the construction and crafts. It can also be used as a weed barrier. Burlap can be used for backing for rugs, wall hangings, upholstery and decorative dollies. This material can be embroidered with fabric scraps, yarn and other remnants to create wall hangings. It can also be employed with the ends Sewn up for a rustic window treatment. Stretched over a frame It can be used as an alternative to canvas for painting. Caring for the burlap is tricky since it can shrink, fray on the edges and become very wrinkled. One simple method of cleaning your burlap fabric is to simply shake them and hang them outside. The sunlight might bleach away lighter stains and odors can air out.

This burlap was a nice surprise! I bought 40 yards for wedding table runners. It came in a perfect roll. It was easy to cut and fray. I also stenciled on it and it stenciled beautifully! This is a great buy!

This is a pretty high quality burlap. I'm using mine to make a ghillie suit for hunting. It is extremely light tan. Not a big deal if you plan on using some spray paint to blend it better. In time it should brown up with normal oxidation. Fairly tight weave and anti fray along the edges. Nice product.

I am not much of a crafter but I managed to create 12 ten foot long, 20" wide table runners for our wedding. I cut a 10 ft piece from the roll and then cut 20" sections vertically. I then used an iron and spray starch to make each runner look polished and unwrinkled. I tried rolling one up overnight to see how wrinkled it got - not bad (as they will be boxed and transported) I can use these for round tables and kings tables. The only challenge is that unless you cut perfectly you are stuck pulling off the extra strands until it's even. That, and the ironing/starch took me hours and hours. But it was worth it for the price. Plus I am pretty sure all that ironing and starching burned tons of calories to help me look good in my dress! Maybe it was a fun project too.

I purchased this burlap to cover three plants in my garden to protect them from the frost. This fabric was very high quality and could be used for many projects. It was hard to use it for what I had purchased it for since it was so nice.

This 50-yard roll was the best quality burlap I have purchased. It was tightly woven and contained minimal flaws. It was, however, spliced together at approximately 20 yards into the roll but this wasn't a problem for me.
