KINGART 121 Gallery Series Sketching & Drawing Tools, Set of 74 Art Set

Beautiful set!! Great quality!

We really like art kits. I would much prefer them doing something than watching something. It is so important for them to be able to use their creativity.

It is nice because they can spend the time doing it. They are excited when they make something themselves. They love to make new art.

The product was great. Everything worked perfectly.

This is a great activity for a rainy day or a day when your child is sick or when you are just stuck at home. It is a good way to keep a child busy.

I thought it was age appropriate. The children really liked how their creations turned out.

I feel like this is good for child development. It kept my children's interest. It would also make a nice gift.

I would recommend it.

King Art's numbering system is confusing and 121 with 74 pieces is fairly different from 100 with 75. This one comes in a nice wood box, which is great for gifting, but it's kind of a pain to actually use. The top layer has a nice range of colored pencils while underneath is a wide range of pastel colors. With this set you get a LOT more pastels than you do with King Art's 100, at the loss of the watercolor and charcoal pencils. But the price difference is dramatic, and the kind of person you'd buy this for as a gift would probably like this lesser expensive one just as much as the more expensive one. It's a better value and a is a better gift. It's also small enough to throw in a backpack and take with you (something you just can't do with the 100). It's a nice set, but I'd probably only look at it as a gift.

This is a beautiful set of art tools that comes in a lovely wooden box that looks good enough to sit out on a dresser or a coffee table. The set contains 24 soft pastels, 12 soft pastels in shades of gray from white to black, 3 vine charcoals, 20 colored pencils, 4 pastel pencils, 3 charcoal pencils, 2 sketching pencils, 2 blenders, an eraser, sharpener, and sanding block.

The quality is excellent on every item. I primarily use the colored pencils because I recently found out that adult coloring books provide the same kind of relaxation as meditation does. It seems to be true and I enjoy my downtime far more this way. I'm also doing a little charcoal sketching. My granddaughter likes to use the soft pastels.

I'm very pleased with this set. Recommended.

When I was a kid art supplies weren’t a priority, they weren’t even on the list. My first “canvas” was flattened paper bags. I can still remember my first real sketchbook of newsprint (the cheap stuff) and a gift box of colored chalk. When I sold my first paintings I was thrilled to buy professional grades paints, with their buttery feel and saturated colors, and brushes that didn’t shed. So I have a great love and appreciation for quality art supplies.

Of course I’ve worked in charcoal and some colored pencil, with Prismacolor pencils; I’ve never really used pastels. Can’t wait to get started.

The tools come in a nice wood box and you have everything you need to get started: pastels, charcoal, pencils, stomps, sharpener and kneaded eraser.

Description

The moment you open the hardwood case and start using the materials inside, you enter the world of pastel sketching, where the line between drawing and painting tends to fade away. You may start out sketching with the graphite and charcoal pencils…soon you’re blocking in areas of dark and light with the vine charcoal and graphite sticks. As you move to soft pastels, your imagination begins to develop a full range of values…rich colors bloom and subtle shifts emerge as you mix and blend pastels with your fingers and blending tools…now you reach for the colored and pastel pencils to add bold lines and fine details to your pastel painting.

Expressing my creativity is important to me, but I got out of the habit in the last 5 years. This is my first "professional" coloring set. I got this set for me to do adult coloring books. I typically use pencils, but thought it might be fun change to use pastels. This set comes with artist tools so you can sharpen your coloring tools, a collection of 36 soft pastels, 20 colored pencils, 3 charcoal, 12 from white to black pencils, and an espresso colored hardwood case. It is so nice that all these options are stored in 3 organized trays. It's been a lot of fun to use.

This KingArt toolkit is very complete, it includes from colored pencils to pastel colors. And for me, who illustrates as a hobby, the sketching tools are essentials. A great selection of graphite and charcoal pencils is included, as well as a good size kneaded eraser, and a couple of blending stumps, or tortillions. There is a eraser, and every item is of great quality. I also like that everything comes organized in a stylish wooden box. I like the size of this wooden case, because it's easy to carry with me, than any other drawing toolkit I've ever own.

This is a nice selection of colors, both pencil and pastel, for a beginning to intermediate artist. The pencils are the best part of this package, with brilliant colors and good adhesion, so the drawings are durable and will last awhile. The pastels are good, but more of a student grade: the pigment is a bit gritty, so I wouldn’t use it for professional work, but they are great as a learning set. Overall, its a great little set that will give you or your kids a potent taste of creativity!

This is a beautiful sketch set, for gift presentation. That was my purpose for this set and it was well received. My son was so excited about using proper tools for his sketches and art work. He loves to doodle comic characters and has done a beautiful job with a pencil and crayons, but this kit is next level. It has everything a budding artist would desire, in a handsome case.

This is an AWESOME complete set. It comes in a box that holds everything organized in its place. The kit comes with very high quality pencils that are a variety of colors. They are different levels or hardness too for shading and in depth drawing. I love this kit, it has everything I need. Overall, it's a great set!
