Kid O 0-9 Learn Your Numbers Magnatab

I just also purchased both the upper and lower case handwriting and cursive hand writing alphabet ones for my children (5 1/2, 8 and 10 year olds) and for my daycare (2 1/2-5 year olds). They love the magnetic aspect and their interest is held for quite some time (they’ll practice on these for anywhere from a 1/2 hour to an hour just for fun)! These are highly effective in encouraging and establishing pre-cursive writing skills, basic fine motor skills and refining existing writing skills, at each stage of development for the age groups I’ve mentioned above. I wish I’d had these when I was overseeing the preschool and lower school curriculum for two private schools for five years prior to starting my daycare/homeschool co-op. I’ve had these number practice and the upper and lower case alphabet handwriting ones for a number of years (before purchasing the cursive ones now as well) they are a favorite amongst the children I care for and they still look practically new. My youngest has been writing (handwriting) all the letters of the alphabet and these numbers since she was 3 1/2, greatly due to these products, in conjunction with number and handwriting work sheets and “write and wipe” products, after her introduction to handwriting using these products (the same goes for the children in my care). She’s already writing cursive letters of her own volition after using the cursive ones for only a few days, with no other cursive writing practice sources. I highly recommend these!

Size-small half the size of letters tablet.
3 Yr’s 3 months. Enthusiastic, engaged.
Fist numbers she practiced writing...learning to recognize numbers.
Excellent beginning hand number stylus movement. Quickly began to learn left to right and drop down to next row and move stylus all the way to the left to begin next row. Excellent for precursor reading skills. I love it for this. For someone with writing skills, pass on this.
Sometimes the magnets do not all popup as you write. Mainly because her hand is not slow, smooth and steady. The number 8 is a dud. It will popup magnets from other side of number 8. This was the only problematic number or letter. We traced on the outside to get it to work better. Hey-problem solving skills. I could see how some buyers would not want it for that. However she was so engrossed w writing and began playing teacher...we played for 45 minutes. We were having such a good time that it wasn’t an issue for us. The benefits outweighed number 8 and the balls not all filling in each time. She enjoyed erasing the magnets by running the stylus over it and tried again and they would stick the next time. She’s learning to read left to right, problem solve, play teacher cause and effect, learn numbers and letter recognition and enjoy playing with it. I will be teaching her to stroke some of the letters differently. Their arrows are funky on several letters. I’m a stickler for top to bottom and left to right. This toy is best with adult working beside the child. These skills are foundational for reading and writing.
Overall fun, new, engaging, further letter number recognition, non electronic!

Really like this for helping my son to practice the motor planning needed to form the numbers. Gives auditory, tactile, and visual feedback. Like the clean, uncluttered look of the board. The only complaint that I have is that the Zero was missing one of the beads. Not worth the hassle of returning, but annoying.

Video games don't build hand muscles, so you still need these 'old school' tools to help with poor handwriting. You need to put pressure using the magnet-tipped pen on the pad for the magnets to pick up the steel beads. Warning; don't let the kids get it wet - the beads will rust.

We have this and the lower case letters. I will use this as a transition item between subjects or books with our homeschooling day. My kids love to play with them and even mom and dad enjoy it. Only downside is occasional one may stick and not come up aka dirt just blow it and it'll start working again fine.

My 3 year old and 5 year old love this and it has been a great tool to help them learn their numbers. I even like to sit down and draw my numbers on it. It is very therapeutic. It has kept them occupied for short periods of time and is educational! I ended up buying this because my nephew got it for his birthday and it's been great to take to restaurants, on trips and anything else you can think of.

This magnatab arrived safely, smoothly and as scheduled.

Love this item since we have an alphabet version and thought it was great to have the numerical version. It was a great price since it is on lightening deal but I didn't know it was a travel size.

Overall, we still like it despite the size so we rate it 4 out of 5 Stars.

Four year old loves this but her 1 1/2 year old sister keeps stealing it. This would be a five star item except the styles needs to be attached to avoid loss.

After buying this one I also bought the lower case letters for my granddaughter..She love to play and learn ..This is a great road trip item as it needs no batteries and the balls does not fall out..yea..thank you for thinking of the kids..

This is a pretty good product, but does have some flaws. The magnet on the pen is pretty strong; when you place the pen to one hole adjacent magnets come up as well. Nonetheless, my 2 year likes it and plays with it at least twice a week. I think it may be more appropriate for 3+ year olds. My nephew (2 years 11 mos at the time) was actually using for its intended purpose. My sister-in-law was so impressed she purchased 2 weeks later as a birthday present for him.
At least my daughter will be able to grow into it. I am still happy with the purchase. I bought this and the capital letters one at the same time.
