Solid Gold Dog & Cat Supplements for Urinary Tract Health and Testing; Berry Balance Chews and Powder with Antioxidant-rich cranberries plus pH Strips

We have 9 cats, 3 of which suddenly started showing urinary syptoms... Several months of vet visits, xrays, tests, and $$$$ RX food later, nothing was helping..

I took the 3 to a specialist and she said you're treating symptoms, not the cause. In addition to their grain free kibble, homemade wet food, and a Lysine supplement recommended by the Vet, I researched to find more! I had one with Struvite Bladder Crystals that was getting ready to result in surgery... After 2 weeks of the new food and supplement routine, I went back to our old Vet and he was amazed, not a single crystal!!!

All 9 cats are dosed as a precautionary measure!

I am so sorry that I took so long to take our dog's health in our own hands. About 5 months ago, we found out by accident that our little miniature Schnauzer has stones in his bladder. Like almost everyone else reviews that I read, our regular vet put him on that stupid science diet, which is not only expensive but ended up causing another problem of colitis for our little dog. So then, we were in their office every couple of weeks for medication for that problem. After about a month of this, I finally decided to go talk to the vet about the food and what it is doing. Of course, he didn't say or not say that it is the science diet food that was damaging our dog's intestinal tract and to add insult to injury, the food did nothing to change the ph of his urine.
Well, in less than 2 weeks of being on Solid Gold Berry Balance and it could have been shorter, since I couldn't find ph strips in my town to test his ph, our little schnauzer's ph is at 6, way into the acidic range. I highly recommend this product. So thankful for all the reviews that I read that gave me the confidence to buy it.
By the way to heal his stomach, I used a product called AMP Floracel Pet Powder, made from Organic Aloe Vera. Another very awesome product.

I dont know if this is proof this product works, you'll have to be the judge.

My dog has had A LOT of urinary problems. She had a HUGE (golf ball sized ) struvite stone, that required surgery because it was too big and was cutting her bladder up, and she's had too numerous to count urinary tract infections. After the stone removal she still had problems, so she was put on a prescription diet food, and if I remember right, the problem was she was still showing crystals and something to do with the PH, and I think she had an infection like 2 months after surgery. And since being put on the diet has still had some infections.

Now I realize, this product is not for the stones or the crystals, and I am not saying it's helped with that at all, I am just making the point she's had lots of problems with urine. So after she was on the RX diet, she got another infection, and the Vet recommended this product. She was on it for quite some time at least a year if not year and a half or even 2 (?), and I think maybe I wasn't quite giving her the recommended 1/4 tsp, close but not quite. I didn't have an extra 1/4 tsp, so I use a 1/2 and eyeballed 1/2 that but if it was a little less then 1/2 that was okay too, if that makes sense. Anyway she got another infection, this past November, at that point, I thought, "What the heck I am I giving her this stuff if she's still going to get an infection anyway." So I quit. 6 months later this past May, she got another. So I do think it staved off infection for quite some time for my baby.

You be the judge? I started her back on it, and am making sure it's a 1/4 tsp as recommended. The longer we can go between infections, the better.

Amazing product! My cat was in serious pain with cystitis & I switched to Blue Wildnerness wet food & added these daily treats to his diet & have had zero episodes of peeing blood everywhere (but in his cat box) & crying out in pain...these are awesome. If you have a cat, please do yourself a favor & add these to their diet, especially if you have a male cat. I'm so glad that I found these!

If your dog is prone to uti, stones, or crystals, this is a good product to keep an eye on the ph. It can alert you to a problem before it becomes serious & save you some money...rather than taking in a sample for testing, to the local vet, you can do it from home. I like to protect my dogs health, but I'm all for saving money when I can. This is a good way to do both! I definitely recommend. I would like to add, however, that this is one tool you should have, in your cabinet, but it is of little use to you if you do not know what to look for & are not taking measures to protect your pet from the SOURCE of the problem. It doesn't matter the brand of dogfood you buy, none of them are adequate for your pet, or good for them, when used alone. Dietary control & good health go hand in hand. Implementing fruits, vegetables, fish, chicken, eggs, yogurt, diatomaceous earth and vitamins into your dogs diet is KEY to maintaining good urinary tract & over all health. Of course, don't use this or other tools, as a substitute for common sense healthy feeding or veterinary care either.

Suitable for both dogs and cats, Berry Balance provides support for urinary tract health and function in your pet. Berry Balance is a holistic grain-free supplement that is based in natural, recognizable ingredients like cranberries and blueberries. Cranberries and blueberries provide a rich, natural source of antioxidants and Vitamin C, which help promote proper urine mineral balance and a healthy urine pH. A normal urine pH may reduce the likelihood of crystal formation. Solid Gold Berry Balance powder is easy to use: simply administer with food at mealtime twice a day for the first month. After 1 month, reduce to once per day, three days per week. Grain and gluten free. No artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Made in the USA.

My female English Bulldog had previously suffered with repeated UTI's and urine crystals. We switched her to a dehydrated raw diet and added this Solid Gold Berry Balance as directed on the canister, and she has not had a UTI since. It's nice not to worry about her being in pain, no more scooting, and no more vet visits! Worth the investment. Recommend with PH strips to monitor urine PH.

The last yr or two, my cat Smegal has been sporadically peeing on the floor. I always knew a urine test is recommended with inappropriate litterbox use, however I always thought it was something else - changing the type of litter, one of our other cats bullying Smegal, etc. Well finally the other month, I brought a urine sample to the vet and sure enough, his pH was too high and had crystals in his urine. They of course recommended the prescription diet foods; however, I bought all three flavors of the canned varieties and he hated all of them. He would not eat any of them beyond sampling a little the first day. So since I gave my cats one raw meal a day (from Woody's Pet Food Deli in Minneapolis), I decided to give him nothing but raw meals because I read that can cure/prevent this problem, however he still peed on the floor sporadically. I was going to purchase Methigel, but decided to try this first. I've been giving him the recommended amount twice a day for the last 3 weeks. He has not peed on the floor since starting the supplement. best of all, the vet called today with his urine text result from last night and his pH is back where it should be and no crystals!!! Great stuff!!!!!

update 12.20.14. The container recommends cutting back on the amount after awhile. I thought that seemed weird, but thought they must know what they are talking about. So I started giving him the powder once a day instead of twice a day. after some time, on a holiday of course, he started licking his belly and growling, so took him to the ER vet and his pH was back to being super high and they thought his bladder was inflamed. so I went back to giving him 1/4 tsp twice a day (he's a 20 pound cat). So be wary of cutting back on the dose. Also, I was quite disappointed when I needed to re-order this, that the price went from $17 up to $25! needless to say, I bought it somewhere else for $19.

My little guy developed a knack for getting urinary tract infections. He doesn't like to drink as much water as he should, so on the advice of my vet, I started adding some water to his food and, after his last course of antibiotics were finished, I started giving him Solid Gold Berry Balance in an effort to keep him from developing further infections. I'm happy to say his last couple urinalysis results were perfectly clear. I'll be keeping him on this product indefinitely.

My dog is prone to form crystals in her urine, which could lead to kidney stones. Doctor wanted me to put her on a special kidney diet that was very expensive and full of grains. I elected to continue her grain-free diet and started using this supplement. I also bought some ph testing strip to monitor her urine and this product really made a difference. The vet was impressed during our follow up visit, to see how much the lab tests changed only using this supplement.

Noticed a difference right away for my 4 indoor cats. Great product. My cats love it.
This product has helped improve the urinary issues we were having with our feral Siamese cats. I was skeptical to try it. It has GREATLY reduced the number of accidents she has had in the house and she LOVES the taste.
Will purchase again
