I've been making a small pile of the clothes that need buttons sewn back on, hems that need redoing, etc. My old eyes can't see well enough to thread a needle (don't laugh, it'll happen to you someday if you should live so long), even those "easy" thread needles you have to be able to see well enough to know where to aim and I don't see that well. I thought I'd have to take my pile into the dry cleaners to have them sew things back together and pay a fortune for it (and I can sew, really, I can). So these pre-threaded needles were a miracle for me. Sewed everything back together and still had threaded needles to spare for next time. You only get about 3 feet of thread on each needle so the supply isn't endless, you couldn't hand sew a whole shirt with these. But for quick fixes, yeah. Glad someone thought of these.
These are one of the best things to have handy, I don't like keeping a lot of sewing items but this is absolutely perfect for those times when you just need a quick fix.
If you hate threading needles like I do and just need to do a quick repair, this set is perfect. The range of colors is nice to have, and the thread on each needle is long enough for my purposes (so far I've sewed closed a pretty big hole in a pocket, hence the one missing needle).
Haven't needed to use it so far - but it should be handy when needed for sewing buttons or other light mending.
