I purchased these storage containers to hold nails, screws, and other such things which have been running loose in our garage. The nails I purchased in the past are sold in a thin, cardboard box. I am just a homeowner, so it may take decades to go through a box of nails, and by that time the cardboard box is likely to have sprung many leaks, with escaped nails lurking on the garage floor, waiting for a tire to infest. These storage containers appear to be a lot stronger than a cardboard box and I can easily see the contents, so I am about as happy as a person could be after purchasing small, plastic storage containers.
I bought the 4.45 x 3.3 x 1.18 inch boxes and used them to store individual player components for the board game Great Western Trail (in the pic, the containers with white, yellow, red and blue pieces along with associated buildings and cards). they were perfect and best of all fit/ stacked nicely in the game box which closes completely with them inside.
As a mixed media artist with lots of tiny treasures to keep organized these are the best containers I have found! Easy open lid that stays attached and clear plastic allowing me to see contents easily from sides or top.
Works good for game pieces.

These storage items fit in the palm of your hand and are a good size for holding pieces that get passed around often or from an area where other players will take from frequently. Their smaller height and wider bottom area allow for good use of storing start player items or "community" coins or resources that may get used by all players during a board game.

I needed 3"x 3"x 1" plant saucers!! Voila! They fit perfectly (I just cut off the lids). And, they are almost transparent, so are barely visible in the plant display shelves (spice racks hanging in window). Perfect. I just placed another order for more.
