Purchased this in September, 2015 and read the reviews on very HOT cooking. It's true. I have to put settings much lower than with my old range. Also, even though I would set it at a lower temperature, the top section of the oven was cooking my food way too fast. Checking the temp, it was running at least 25 degrees hotter than what I had it set to be. Called Samsung for repair and it seem a rather complicated process. They contacted a local authorized repair service, who called and would only give a 4 hour window, with a "one-hour notification call". My four hours passed and I finally called them back - leaving a voice message. Repair person called (obviously a bit irritated) and said he was running late and would be there in 25 minutes. No explanation of why he didn't give me the one hour window in my 4 hour window time frame. He came in our door with a chip on his shoulder. He started off by telling us that salespeople overrate this oven and bill it as a double oven and they shouldn't do that. When he acted like I was supposed to live with the high cooking temps, I persisted about what to do. Now mind you, he never touched the unit. Never turned it on, never opened an oven door. However, he started asking me several questions...did I use an oven thermometer to check the temp, etc. When I told him yes, he told me he would order a main control board, and a bottom and top oven thermostat and that should take care of the problem. Very intrigued that Samsung would consider that an appropriate check of the issue as I'm sure that main board has to be one of the most costly parts to replace. He told us it would take 5-7 days to get the part and then the office would call and set up a time. He was very curt about not being able to shorten our next service window; they work as a team and he was sure they wouldn't do us any favors when scheduling the next appointment which is 7/18. I hope they do not send this man back to our home and this doesn't make me happy with Samsung (:
Good performance. If the self cleaning function fails to work, try removing and replacing the oven divider panel several times. The sensor that indicates that the divider panel has been removed tends to stick.
