This ships in a sturdy shipping box, they don't just throw the display box on UPS, so mine showed up in good shape. The "hardware package" is four mounting screws, so if you need a strain relief or anything else have it in hand before you start the install. This replaces an older Broan hood, so the screw holes line up, so my install was very easy. I do feel like they could supply a paper template so you don't have to hold the hood up there and mark holes.
I need to convert all of my venting, which I will do when we replace the roof, so I was just looking for an inexpensive non-vented hood to do the job until we are ready to get something better. This fits the bill just fine, fan not too loud on high, looks ok, works for now.
It looks good in my kitchen. Not a lot different from the one I replaced but certainly cleaner. The range hood was delivered when expected. It looked as I expected. The quality seems good. The price was great. I checked at a couple of the big box stores and the prices were ridiculous. Although I wanted the hood replaced as soon as possible, I decided to order online and wait. I am glad I did. It was packaged in an efficient and secure manner. I didn't install it, however, the person that installed it said it was a snap. I am actually using it more than I used the old range hood.
Works pretty good for the price! We ordered this for a kitchen remodel to replace a fan that was originally vented to our attic which is longer to code. It isn't super high powered but it meets our needs ..... to be honest we use the light on the range more than the actual fan in our home. Ours did a have small dent in the metal when it arrived.
I bought this for a great price from Amazon, when it was twice as much money and a special order from Home Depot. It works great, it's relatively quiet, and my handyman said it was easy to install. Very happy with purchase!
