I really like this cover. I received the red. It reminds me of the merlot cover for the first Oasis. It fits very snuggly. Your Kindle won’t fall out of this cover. That being said, I like to remove the covers when I read so they are not so heavy. This cover went on very easily, however, it’s on to stay. I can’t get it off.
Update: I figured out how to remove the cover. If I push on the cover right between the two buttons it comes out fairly easily. Now it’s perfect.
The cover is absolutely beautiful and it fits really well. The leather is not as nice and supple as the artisan Italian leather on the Merlot cover for the original oasis, but it’s still very nice. I love the way it feels in my hands.
Having used the Casebot cover prior to this Amazon cover, I would recommend this cover by far.
While the Casebot worked, this cover is slimmer, has a more sturdy cover to flip. The pebbled leather is nice, as opposed to the smoother Casebot leather.
The largest difference I found, is that on the Casebot cover there were times that when closed the cover did not automatically turn off the Oasis. The Amazon cover does not have this issue. Love that!
Feels slimmer (as it is!), textured leather, great magnetic close - so glad I ordered this one!
Fits the new Oasis nicely. It protects it well and is comfortable to hold when I fold the cover around for reading. It doesn’t really feel like real leather; but that’s ok. If I wanted real leather, I would have sprung for the more expensive distressed brown leather cover. But this doesn’t add much weight to the Oasis, so i’m happy. The magnets work well ... both for automatically waking and sleeping the Oasis as well as keeping the cover in place.
4 stars. It’s nice but should be $25-$35 price range. The back is encased in all plastic, including inner lining of the back- wished in was lined with the same material as the front of the flap to avoid damage to the Kindle. The lining of the front flap will snag on dry hands - similar to what silk feels like, which I hate. I thought it would be a softer material used but it’s somewhat abrasive. Overall, it is OK. It does not add much weigh at all to the device.

Description
This case fits my new Kindle Oasis beautifully, and I love the Merlot color...It reminds me of the burgundy red case that I used on my old Keyboard Kindle (traded in for a discount plus $5 Amazon gift card on the Kindle Oasis). It smells and looks like real leather, so if it is fake leather...It is an excellent fake! The Kindle Oasis is so tightly fitted into this case that at first I didn't think it could be removed, but I found that by opening the case and putting the screen area down on my lap, that the edge of the case can be lifted up and the Kindle Oasis can be lifted out. The Oasis can be easily read, however, with this cover on. I recommend this cover highly...and the beautiful Merlot color!!!
Love this cover. It did come with a few scuff marks on the back which was a little upsetting, but they aren’t super noticeable. I’m sure I’ll add more scuffs to it over time so I wasn’t overly worried about it. It feels great and, I like that it still feels like an Oasis in my hand with this case on.
I was a bit hesitant about buying this official case for Kindle Oasis due to its price and reviews online. I have multiple kindle oasis, from Casebot, Ayotu, Moko and Noreve (France) and I must say i was really surprised when I opened the box. Although the case has hard plastic on the sides (unlike Casebot Cases with rubbery materials) the leather is really nice and smells like authentic leather. The case is also surprisingly thin and light making the one hand reading still comfortable with a case unlike other brands i mentioned above. The case also sticks when folded for added comfort due to its small metal at the back that attracts the magnets when folded. The case is thin but the leather is real and feels nice to hold. I don’t know why they are saying the leather feels cheap but it doesn’t feel cheap at all. And I also have the Noreve case to compare. If you want a well built case but doesn’t add bulk, this is probably the one. I thought casebot is thin enough until i bought this case and I am happy with my purchase.
This looks like a big improvement on the cover for the Kindle Oasis. It does not slip out and it keeps it steady so the pages do not bounce around. Something I found happening all too often when I did not have a cover for this little gizmo. So far it works for me!
The quality is good, and the kindle is protected which is what I wanted. I got it in the bundle along with the adapter to charge it, so the price was good.
