This machine is superb! About a year ago, we bought an LG top load washer and matching dryer to replace an old machine. My wife was never happy with how it cleaned. Tried all sorts of detergents, pretreatments, etc to no avail. So, in an effort to solve the problem, we bought this washer from Amazon.
I normally check the ratings at Consumer Reports and at Amazon before purchase. In this case, they diverged, with CR giving LG an edge. Since that was what I was replacing, I went with the Amazon ratings—after all, I try to make mine accurate. That proved to be the right choice.
After it arrived, my wife put a towel that had been soiled with clay (my bad) in the washer as a trial with the first load. She said that it was a goner, but would give it a shot. It came out perfectly clean! Inspired, she tried some jeans I had worn while constructing a retaining wall, heavily soiled with grease, clay, diesel fuel and the like. Victory! They were again clean. He then collected other items that the other washer had not adequately cleaned and re-washed them. The majority were clean, and all were improved. We were impressed.
This was with the basic cycle. We just got the machine. Who knows how well it will work once we read the directions.
In any event we’re extremely pleased.
Addendum::
This is the first five star review I’ve written that I felt the need for an Adsense because the first review wasn’t good enough. This machine is BY FAR the best we’ve ever owned. My wife still finds that clothes washed in our old Little Girl machine and looked clean we’re improve by this machine. It's been over a month, and we’ve noted no problems with odors, etc. that seem to plague other front loaders. It’s too soon to talk about long term reliability.
This machine the benchmark against which all others should be measured.

Had for about 30 months. Really like it. If we wash comforters it jumps around a little bit but most the time it works great.

We bought this washer with the matching dryer and stacked them. Both the washer and dryer are approximately the same size. If you plan to do this, you will need at a minimum 28in width x 79in height x 38in depth (35in for the unit + connections and another 3in for the door). To give context, we had 28in width x 79in height x 35.75in for the unit + cables and another 4in for the opening that the door pushes into. The total depth of the door framed opening is 5in, but we had a 1in thick louvered door that we converted from a bi-fold to a swing out door so that we could actually open the washer and dryer doors all the way. 79in may seem like a lot of height, but it is not. The stack kit adds an inch or two. So, when it was all done, we only had 2in of clearance at the top (the stacked set is 77in tall).

In terms of function, it's pretty good. There is no smart functionality with this washer, however. So that + the somewhat misleading product dimentions are why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Oh, and the delivery guys couldn't figure out how to make it fit our laundry cabinet (that met the manufacturer's specs). So, there was that. Once me and my wife got it installed and connected, everything seemed to work well, tho. It also seems pretty darn quiet. So, all-in-all, I feel like this washer was a pretty good buy.

I was amazed and pleased that Amazon not only delivered this in two days, but also hauled away my 15-year old washer, all included in the price! New washer is GREAT ... VERY quiet spin cycle compared to my old one, and the installers balanced it well. Washes well, with larger bin (closer match to my large dryer, which used to be nearly twice the size as my wash loads), runs beautifully. Only thing that's a bit "iffy" is the magnet that's supposed to hold the door semi-closed so it can air out after each wash and not get moldy (like my last LG did). It doesn't hold very well, and the door is mostly closed when it does, so I find myself just leaving it open between washes anyway. Depending on your laundry room space, that may or may not be important to you... I am not into all the new wi-fi systems, so this is just the base model, but for eight hundred and a few pennies, what a deal!!! Very happy.

They came early to install this.

Our delivery was scheduled for 3-6pm, they came at 11 am and professionally removed the old unit and put in the new one.

The barrel is huge you can fit so many clothes inside of it and there are plenty of features.

Just make sure to use "high efficiency detergent"

Some of the things that make this washer stand out:
- all the controls are electronic which last longer than mechanical parts
- the screen provides a portal for diagnostics of the device, whereas other washers have none
- the washer has a self-cleaning function which is very useful after manufacturing and monthly
- the washer pump and filter are accessible from the front of the washer
- it is very large so you don't have to worry about packing large loads in a small barrel
- it is nice and quiet

Cons
- hoses are rubber not braided steel
- the washing drum is very large so small loads are impractical
- the washer is very water efficient so it doesn't really ever fill up with water like my old one, so it doesn't clean as well I want to say but it hasn't been that long so I can't really judge yet.

Hands down 5/5 stars for me. Now I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the best washer I have ever had. I've lived around and used many washers but DAMN this takes the freakin cake. It's fast, easy to use, and holds even my largest blankets/comforters. Now yes it cost a pretty penny but for me it was definitely worth it. It's the fastest washer I've ever had. What usually would take me 3 days (I have a lot of people in my home) to do laundry it helps me finish in 1. I especially love all the different wash cycles it has. The men who delivered it were very sweet and gave me some tips on this model and hauled away the old one for me. (pay extra for that. TOTALLY worth it) Tips: it can hold a LOT of laundry but still DON'T overstuff it. Also when you're in between loads leave the door open so it airs properly. When done completely with laundry leave the door open for about 15 min or so THEN close it. It will help keep away that nasty moldy smell. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this washer. It works so much better than my old one. Honestly the old one just didn't quite get the smell out of my daddies undies so that was definitely a extra star worth for me personally. IF you get this washer I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! :)

My delivery guys showed up on time. They installed quickly, though they did chose to do it the hard way, rather than going the direction hubby and I determined the night prior was just a little more roomy. As a result my couch arm has a small nick in the wood. BUT, they were sweet, courteous and thorough. They showed me that the washer was working before leaving, and handed me all the paperwork and extra installation pieces. (For stacking, etc.)
The washer itself seems to be a champ so far! My husband is a heavy equipment operator, so he is covered in dirt from head to toe 5-6 days a week. The "Rugged" cycle works very well for his clothes. And my "delicates" can be run right after his with no issues. I have done single garments, and again have had no issues. We are both using half the amount of soap as before. But the clothes are cleaner. The new sound indications are still taking some getting used to. The "done" ding sounds just like my "out of balance" ding in my old washer. LOL! No funny smells, though I do have the habit of leaving the door ajar for a few hours after emptying the washer.
I will update this if anything goes bad, so assume no news is good news!

I am happy to say, this washer is great! It has a lot of special features and the accela wash is the best! Our clothes come out very clean and they spin out practically dry! I thought i loved my old top load washer when it finally bit the dust after 10 years, but it seems terrible compared to this washer! Highly recommended.

Gets clothes CLEAN! Have had the new one for several months now. Had my last Kenmore washer/dryer for 25 yrs! Hesitated for years on buying new because they all had good and equally bad reviews on front loaders and the cost was alot for a so so washer. Did a lot of research and found this front loader. The foot print is same size as my old so fits into my small laundry room nicely. Much larger capacity, uses so much less water. My clothes get so much cleaner! I didn't expect that! use about a 3rd the detergent and softener. Lots of wash cycles to choose from. the accellerted wash is fantastic, cuts the time in half. I've used many of the different cycles and they are helpful and work well. Love the display easy to use. The chime when done is very pleasant! Bought through Amazon. Had new installed within 3 days of purchase! Installers were great. Very happy with purchase.

We purchased this washing machine about 3 months ago. We have a large family and a lot of laundry. Some of the aspects of this washer that I have been impressed with are its ability to get a lot of laundry done quickly if you have a dryer that will keep up. Its large capacity allows for much bigger loads and the normal wash cycle can usually have it done under 60 minutes. Another aspect that I like is the steam and sanitize option for heavily soiled clothes or for washing during or after sickness in the home. These options can take a long time but this washer is very good at getting washables clean. Some of the reviews I read before my purchase said that this washer is loud but this has not been my experience at all. This washer has been comparably quiet to our previous machines and much more stable. The 1300 rpm spin cycle is fairly quiet and very stable. Delivery and set up was part of the purchase however the people who delivered it were not as careful with it as I would have liked and did not hook it up. After watching them unload it and even drop it once, I didn't mind taking over with the hook up and installation. Fortunately the machine was packaged well and there was no damage. So far, I would purchase this washing machine again.
