Purchased this oven for a new home that ran behind schedule and past Amazons generous return options.
When the oven was finally installed by my electrician, nothing. No power, which turned out to be a failed mother board. Calling for service was no problem. Parts are a whole different story. The part is not available here in the US and must be ordered. Fine except they wait until they have a full "container" of parts for shipping to send. So no lightweight airmail part for the customer, to the service center in Arizona, then to a nearby shop for the repair man. No, you must wait for the slow boat to arrive with your part. First I was told 7 to 10 days. Now I am told another month of waiting, just for the part to arrive. That doesn't even account for the time it will take to get that part to the repair man and the repair man to schedule an install date. If you don't mind being unable to use your oven for a few months when it breaks it might be an ok oven. I wouldn't know as I've been unable to use mine.
Update from repair:
It took one month to fix the oven. Part came in, quick and efficient installer.
Now that the oven works, I can say I like the oven very much. It heats quickly, is easy to operate and cooks evenly. I love the side handle door along with the looks. Even though I was disappointed with the part availability I am happy with this oven and its design compared to others without the side handle opening.
Cons & Pros
Cons so far:
First were the repeated delays in shipping adding up to one month instead of the 7 days promised.
Second, the oven is so small even a standard half-sheet baking pan won't fit inside it on the level.
Third, If it ever breaks we are screwed. There is not a dealer or repair center for this oven anywhere near Texas.
On the Pro side. It works exactly as promised. It cooks evenly and rapidly. It seems to be a terrific oven for pastries in convection mode with wonderful browning and crusts. It also is quite predictable in non-convection mode.
The only reason we bought this oven is our experience with other Fagor products. We love our Fagor Pressure Cooker and their counter-top convection oven/toaster is also wonderful. Of course, the universal 4 stars or better reviews for Fagor products was the real capper.
