The hood works and looks great. The installation instructions were not right. The instructions show the 4 angle iron brackets mounted to the ceiling bracket first than screwed to the fan housing. This does not work! There are four screw holes on the top of the fan housing that must have the screws put in first for the 4 angle iron brackets. I had to cut all 4 brackets to get it down to a size that would work for my 8 foot ceiling. Than you need someone to hold up the fan housing with the 2 black round shields (one inside the other.) and try to get the 8 screws in as fast as possible. Once this is done you can slide the inside shield up and screw it onto the ceiling mount. Than you can attach the glass/filter/light unit with the 4 nuts given and connect the wires.
Product arrived as advertised, installation was as expected. Fit and finish is excellent, function is awesome! Would recommend this to anyone who is trying to achieve a unconventional look.
Wasn’t super easy to install with 2 people one had to hold the base while the other hurried to get the screws in

My contractor wasn't impressed with the fact that it didn't come with directions in English.I think he liked the challenge though!... Looks perfect was our design!
