Great product, looks great.

Running jobs, I always had to keep a stash of wood pencils for the guys bc of course they'd loose theirs. Figured by getting this i'd at least be able to keep this attached to me and always have one. I did manage to drop it several times with obviously took it's toll on the lead. Easy enough to replace broken lead though. Great buy. I'd tend to leave in my packout boxes more so after awhile. I'd find guys trying to grab it from my open top box bc they loose the wood ones i'd let them borrow. Never ending battle.

The pencil is well constructed. The lead lasts a long time. I used it recently to build a playset and over three days never had to let out any more. The lead resembles a chisel. The chisel shape makes marking straight lines easy with speed square. I found the chisel shape difficult at first to mark my initial measurements accurately. Also a very minor annoyance was that the clip doesn't have much give so I had to always put it in my pocket or lay it down.

This pencil is excessive but functional and cheap enough not to feel like you wasted money on a gimmick. It was also the first one I didn't break or lose and end up reverting to whatever we had around the house. I felt like it was a winner when My wife assumed it was my father in laws, who is a retired construction worker, and said "you should get one if these".

Used while framing my house. Trimming out my house, laying hard wood, tile.. pretty much every day for 8 months. Only thing that kinda stinks is after marking awhile I had to re sharpen it on concrete to not have a dull tip. But it held up through building a whole house.

I bought these for my husband because he has been doing a lot of woodworking lately. He absolutely loves this mechanical pencil. The only complaint that he had was that if you have it in your tool belt and if you push down on it the lead will fall out. With that being said it was difficult for him to put the lead back in once it came out. Other than that he really like it and it is great because make a fine line. Shipping was prompt and an overall great buy.

A neat idea as I can never justify spending the money on lumber pencils. I was a little mis-lead (get it?) by the idea that it comes with 3 extra leads. It only comes with 2 extra leads (and one in the pencil itself). Not a big deal just something to note. The lead advancment is a little funky as the pencil tip has to seat in the lead notch. If your leads gets broken part way, you have to advance to the next notch (not a huge deal, but as some one who drops their pencil on a concrete floor all the time, I'm going to have to be a little more careful). I really like the the feel of the pencil in my hand, and it is easy to use even with gloves on. So far (only a couple days) the lead seems durable enough and does mark lumber nicely. Also the pencil marks erease easily (hey I just noticed this does not have an ereaser!)

I was really impressed with how quickly I received this product, it arrived in less than 2 days. The price is reasonable. The packaging was still in good shape and the pencil itself worked great! My boyfriend does construction and said this brand is really good and reliably durable. The pigment is strong and durability is long lasting. I would definitely recommend this carpenter pencil!

This seems like a solid product. I liked the overall design and knowing the lead is stronger than the usual replacement lead for "regular" mechanical pencils. The pencil writes well and seems more than capable of withstanding the day-to-day wear and tear. The only thing I disliked, was the broad writing point, (and not the usual point of a pencil) but that is more of a personal preference. Overall, I would definitely give this product a try.

My father works on a lot of projects that involve marking up wood, and as such always had carpenter's pencils laying around. However he would once in a while be away from the sharpener and resort to using a utility knife to sharpen the pencil.

This mechanical pencil is perfect for anyone who needs to make heavy marks on projects, and may go through several standard pencils in a short amount of time.
Sturdy and reliable, you won't be disappointed with this product.

I purchased this item because I make my own signs where I have to get the wood cut and I need to mark exactly the sizes needed. Before, I was trying to use a regular, mechanical pencil with thin lead and it always broke or a regular pen would be too dark. This particular pencil allows me to make the necessary lines for cutting without sacrificing and potentially ruining the wood with ink.
I would recommend this item!

Works great. I love this thing because I hate having to sharpen pencils mid project because it went dual of the lead broke. This one always has a good tip.
