MEE audio M6 Memory Wire In-Ear Wired Sports Earbud Headphones (Clear) (2018 version)

I bought a pair of these 5 years ago and wore them through all of my workouts and yard work since. Besides the fact that they sit perfectly in my ears despite what activity I am doing, they sound simply awesome. I got tipped to these from extensive excellent reviews over at Head-Fi.

I've got in-ears that cost more than 10x the price of the M6's and these are right up there with the best, and certainly better than anything I've tried at 2-3x the cost. They sound incredible and I get zero audio fatigue - they just sound "pleasant" to my ears.

This 2018 version appear to be built even better than the 2013 model.

Thanks MEE. Please don't stop making these!!

This set of earbuds gets so many things rigt, and at such a low price that they beat others that may have superior audio quality — the audio quality with these is definitely above average, and at the top for earbuds within its price range.

Before even listening to them, I marveled at the fit. These were the first set of earbuds I’ve tried that like they’d stay secure AND be comfortable enough to wear while resting in bed —I was right.

I’m so happy with these that I just bought a pair for my mom and another for myself.

Hopefully they hold up over time, but so far, so good!

I’m glad I bought them.

I've had two pairs for about 5 years now, they work great. One just accidentally went through a washer and dryer, and still works and sounds great.

Good: Because of the memory wire these actually stay on my ears despite movement, and there is no dangling-wire noise. I have peculiar ear canals that seem to eject any in-ear headphones, but these are able to stay in once I find the right tips. The sound is quite good, especially for the price. I have a pair of Sennheisers and I can't tell the difference.

Bad: They tangle easily. This is expected since the memory wire is effectively shaped like a hook. This is probably why they come with a hard case.

I have tried a great many earbuds in the $10-50 price range over the years and each time, I keep coming back to the MEE M6. It's been my go-to favorite for about 6 years now and no other earbud has been able to take the crown. I bought the $50 M6 PRO earbud on a sale to try them out and found that these regular Sport-Fi M6 are longer lasting and less prone to damage. My primary use is for commuting and walking rather than exercise. While they are billed as a "sport" earbud I would not recommend them for working out unless you do not sweat much.

PROS: The sound is the best balanced out of all the MEE earbuds in this price range and I find the bass to be as good as the M9. The over-ear cables are easily moldable and soften to your ear shape within about a week. It's easy to pop the earbuds out for a quick moment to talk to someone or order at a counter without the cables falling down and tangling up; they stay nicely hooked on your ear. It comes with several eartips and I have not had discomfort even after wearing them for upwards of 5 hours at a time. The biggest plus for the M6 is the high audio quality and comfort relative to the price.

CONS: Not very sweat resistant. I go through a pair in under a year if I wear them for regular exercise because I sweat very heavily. They are also not ideal for heavy sweating activity because the over-ear cable acts as a conduit for sweat to flow directly into your ear, creating a very unpleasant feeling and interfering with the sound.

product: MEElectronics Sport-Fi M6 Noise Isolating In-Ear Headphones with Memory Wire (Clear)

Most people wouldn't expect a pair of $20 headphones that claim to be noise Isolating and made for working out to have good sound or quality but in the case of this pair of headphones, it does that and much more. Not only do you get an additional case for the headphones, but also 6 sets of interchangeable eartips so you can get the best fit (I found that the ones that came on the earphones worked the best for me).
The noise-isolating feature: When I first put them on, I couldn't believe how well they isolated sound. I couldn't hear any backround noises (cars, microwave, etc.) and when I turned on my music, I couldn't hear a person talking right in front of me.
The fit: When I tried working out and running with them, I didn't have any trouble. They stayed snuggly in my ear the whole time and I could hear the music clearly the whole time. The "memory wire" also works great. It took me about 10 seconds to figure out how to fit it to my ear and then I was good.
The sound quality: Finally, the thing everyone wants to know about. Does the low price of these headphones take away sound quality? The answer to this is definitely no. I'm not a headphone/sound enthusiast but I can still tell that these have good sound. When compared to the old Apple ear pods, these sound amazing. If I could say anything about the way these sound, it would be that the base is very prominent (but not overpowered, so you can still listen to classical-type music).

A few things I wanted to know before I bought this:
-Does the clear color get dirty/rusty? No, atleast they haven't yet in the month that I've been using them (and they look pretty in general as a color)

-How long is the cord? About 4 1/2"--I find that it's a bit too long when you run, but you can easily fix this by either stuffing the excess cord into your pocket or using the handy clip of them to hold extra cord.

-Do they get tangled easily? No! These are the first headphones I've had that don't. It's probably because the cord is a bit stiffer than most

Thanks for taking the time to read this review. I hope it helped and answered any questions you had. Look at the pictures I took for more help--I put the headphones next to a sharpie marker for comparison in size.

I hate getting new earphones for one reason: I can never find any that fit my ears. They either hurt, fall out, or both. So, to say I'm particular about my earphones is putting it mildly and I hold onto a set when I find one that fits. Alas, my last pair finally died on me so I have been on the lookout for way too long (we are talking months here). When I saw these I was hopeful because there were SIX options of ear pads coming with them. If one of these sets didn't work for me I figured I was a lost cause. When they came I put them in not expecting to get a fir on the first set, but they fit great! I didn't have any pain and the sealed well blocking out ambient noises and even moving around chewing (which is a certain thing to make any ear piece fall out) they stayed in. I was very pleased!
Just for kicks, I did try every other set of ear pieces they came with in the off chance that a different set might fit better. There were the usual problems of some falling out and others hurting, and a couple sets just didn't fit (too big or too small) so I am very happy with the original.
Setting up the "memory wire" was simple and I love the case it comes with.
Overall, especially if you are like me and have a problem finding earphones for you funny shaped ears, these are worth it!

The earbuds are fantastic! I originally purchased them to listen to music at work (as a journalist, the news room can be super loud and makes it hard to concentrate sometimes). With others in the past, I had to turn up the volume pretty high to not have both the music and the voices of my coworkers in my ear. With these, though, just having them in with the lowest volume blocks out all outside noise completely. The music sounds as it should and the earbuds are really comfortable. I have very small ears and the smallest buds fit snugly inside my ears without me feeling like I need to readjust them every few minutes. They're so comfortable I sometimes forget I have them in.

Which brings me to the best part about these: I can use them to talk on the phone! I didn't realize this when I purchased them since I was only looking for something to play music, but it's ended up being the best feature. The phone at my office has a lot of static and it's actually easier for people to hear me through these headphones, which leaves my hands free to type away without me getting a kink in my neck from holding the phone with my shoulder.

I snap the cord onto my shirt at high chest level and, even if people are talking around me in the news room, people are able to hear me just fine at a normal volume voice. I can hear them better than if I used the landline and better even than straight from my cell phone. I also don't have to worry about dropping the call since my cell stays in one spot while we talk and I don't accidentally hang up on someone with my face--which I did a lot.

Do yourself a favor and buy these. It's a fantastic price for everything you'll get!

I often sleep with earbuds to listen to white noise/block out my husband's snoring so I am always looking for a pair that will be comfortable while laying on my side. For that purpose, these are the best I have found so far. Unfortunately, like 99% of the other earbuds I have purchased, these don't last long. The wires are super thin and wear down quickly/break easily. This is my second pair, I think the first pair lasted six months max, thus the three star rating. I am trying again in hopes that the quality has somehow improved and that this pair lasts longer but they feel the same. I wouldn't recommend these for their sound quality - I would use higher quality headphones or earbuds for that.
UPDATE: Very shortly after I left this review I was contacted by MEE audio customer service who reminded me of the warranty included w/these headphones. Since I didn't register the first pair that had broken I was sure I would be out of luck. I was happily surprised that the company sent me a brand new replacement pair even though I had not registered for the warranty. I added a star to my review for the excellent customer service.

Cheap and they sound pretty great. Comes with enough extra rubber heads to find the right fit for your ear canal.

The best part about these, besides being super cheap, is the fact that the manufacturer added the bulbous plastic piece to both sides of the cord that connects the buds (only one of them has the electronics in it). This is key because it keeps the cable draped over the ears and keeps the cord from flopping to one side or the other when doing serious workouts. That coupled with the adjustable loop to tighten the cord to the back of your head is amazing.

Climbed for 3 hours the first night I had them, and never had an issue with sound quality, the buds falling out, or the cord getting stuck to my neck with sweat. Best $30 pair of buds on here, I think. I've tried 3 different generic manufacturers and the Bose headphones. I'd choose these over the Bose for sure, especially since i could purchase 5 pairs of these for the price of a single pair of Bose, and these are built just as well.

The only downside is I ordered these 2 weeks ago, they were shipped to the wrong address and then refunded without my input. The second time I ordered them all was well. Not the best scenario, but certainly not the worst.

First, play around with the ear pieces. I found me initial impressions would have been lower if I hadn't found the right size for me.

These headphones are nice! Compact, long lasting for my use, and sounds great. I'm used to buying the cheap headphones, so these $30 blew me away.

These do noise cancel with the right seal, but I San still hear a box fan over it from about 10ft away.

The sound is perfect. I used a EQ to bring out the middle tones with a slightly warm tone and it's incredible. Nice pop from the bass and clean crisp highs. Listening to "Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters" felt like a brand new experience!

Get them, worth it.
