Sturdy, beautiful, incredibly well made tub that combines form with function. Fits perfectly in my stock-apartment bathroom sink, and is the ideal size for socks, lingerie, and shirt collars/sleeves (as advertised). I'd expected it to be much smaller based on other reviews, but it's actually a good-sized tub. The tub on its longer side measures ~12-3/4" outer diameter, ~11-1/2" inner diameter. Obviously, not meant for entire laundry loads (or even quarter loads) - just one item at a time.

The tub’s built-in washboard is perfectly sloped for easy scrubbing. The blue is a soft, almost baby blue, but a tad more sophisticated. Other nice touches include a no-slip silicone (?) strip along the entire bottom edge of the base, a wide pouring spout, and a hole on one end for hanging. I’m not sure if the tub is stackable, but will update if I get a second tub and can confirm either way.

Beyond being well designed, the tub is very well made of high quality, medium weight plastic. It appears to be molded from one piece, with smooth curves and no rough edges or seams. The tub can be filled with water without sagging or otherwise losing its shape.

The one I got, delivered in Jan 2017, is confirmed Made in Japan per the original manufacturer's packaging (see attached picture). Get one while you can!

This is better quality than I thought: thick plastic, rubber grip bottom, and the lip is curved for guiding water out when you pour it out. Some people are complaining about the size but you have the dimesions and a picture of it. It even seems a little bigger in person. Plus, the size is perfect because you only wash in sections anyways (I do anyways).

As pictured and as described. Photos attached with and without flash, from multiple angles, to show item.

Underside has a little grippy U to help hold this washbasin in place while in use. The plastic is very thick and feels very sturdy. The color is as pictured in the product listing.

There is Japanese writing on the underside of the washbasin that I cannot translate because I do not speak Japanese. I may ask a friend to translate, because it does seem like they are useage instructions with listed temperatures.

I purchased this item to handwash delicates. It appears to be what this is for because there are little pictures on the side of the cardboard label with a collar, sock, and underwear pictogram. The entire wash surface is smooth with no snags. In fact, the only rough portion is the tiny bump on the back where you can tell this is injection molded plastic.

This washbasin has all the marks of quality of a made in Japan item. The item IS made in Japan and the brand is Inomata.

This is smaller than I thought but I'm dimension challenged. I typically have no concept of sizes. That being said I'm super happy with the purchase. It's scrubs much better than rubbing the fabric against itself. I was able to get scrub old salt stains out of pants that I couldn't get out with previous attempts

This is small. Enough for underwear and the arm pits of shirts. But, it's what I needed for travel. I'm taking it to our Cabina in a 3rd world country where laundry service is expensive by American standards. I have a large outdoor basin for doing laundry but I needed a scrub board. I bought two different types and both work well. I would buy two of these if they were much bigger - but, it's Japanese and their culture is about being compact and efficient.

Description

Japanese plastic wash basin with washboard is great for wash towel, sock and lingeries etc. Dimension: 13 inch dia x 4-1/4 inch h. Built in washboard dimension: 9 in x 6 inch. Made in Japan.

I had been looking for a washboard to wash shop rags and towels. This laundry basin works perfectly for my home workshop by allowing me to wash items as needed without making the house laundry machine smell like paint thinner and automotive solvents. It's just what I needed, and the built in basin makes it even better.

In addition to the utility of this item, it is extremely durable. Although it is made primarily of plastic (has a rubber component on the bottom to keep it from sliding), the plastic is as thick as any five gallon bucket I have ever purchased. The thickness of the plastic combined with the topology/geometry of the item make it far more rugged than necessary for my needs.

I needed something that I can use to wash my textile motorcycle jacket. Just to do some spot touch up around the collar and sleeves. The jacket is mix with white and black colors and must be hand wash. It works on removing some dirt and grim but it was very difficult to do so. The pale bucket was small, held very little water. Now I'm using it to wash my microfiber towels and cycling socks.

I bought this as a stand in for my diaper sprayer. It works as I expected it to. I wish the reservoir were a bit bigger, so I could get through a few more diapers before dumping it. But honestly, that isn't even a big deal. Dunk and swirl was SO gross, and I was using something like 7 gallons of water to get through the poop diapers to prepare them for the washer. The twelve bucks I spent on this will save me time and money. I am pleased with this purchase.

This item is on the small side. Which makes it great for hand washing baby and kids clothes, especially the ones that need a pre-wash. It's been convenient for underwear and socks of all sizes. I've also used it to spot clean part of a large sheet. (Not the whole thing, but the part that needed some hand scrubbing.)

I actually came back to buy a second one - one is in the laundry room and another in the bathroom so I can do a quick wash as soon as a spill occurs. It's small enough to slide in a gap next to my sink, and it's actually stable on its side thanks to the shape of the washboard.

There is no better way to get the stains out without using harsh chemicals than simply sprinking baking soda, spritzing a little vinegar, and giving it a good rub! I have been scrubbing with just my hands for a while, but it can get quite painful and make your hands crack and bleed. Enter this simple, yet amazing wash basin! Brilliant design and so comfortable to use! Scrubs clothes and linens squeaky clean, stains gone! This plastic will last you a lifetime. Great purchase, highly recommend it!
