Just the initial unboxing and setup, this is great. It was very, very easy to set up this system so far, and the lights it covers are just about industry standard.
I got two of these, one with the bridge. I plugged in the bridge, downloaded the app, created an account without flaw.
I then plugged in the Ring Transformer. Followed the simple directions, the Ring app let me add them and also add them to "Backyard" group.
I then went into the Alexa App, and enabled the Ring integration. The devices almost immediately showed up in Alexa App under devices.
I then could say "Alexa, Turn on Backyard" and both of the transformers turned on. Same with turning them off. I could also say "Alexa, Turn on Backyard" and it was all on, then say "Alexa, Turn off the Pergola" and just those lights went off.
I have this set up in my backyard obviously, we have a pool and a pergola sitting area. I have lights around the pool and landscape, and got some of the hanging lights that look like Edison etc that connect to low voltage, and a few lights on the fireplace under the pergola. So I can turn it all on, and also turn off the pergola brighter lights if I just want the walkways, trees, pool waterfall lights, etc.
I also have a covered patio that is on regular lights with a switch inside etc, and I put TP Link Wifi Smart switches for them. Alexa Routines will turn all of this on, as in I can on the drive home click the Alexa button on the app and say "Alexa, we're having a pool party" and it turns all of that on. My next issue is to get a pool system that will work better with Alexa, but that's okay for now.
Either way, this does everything, so far, that I wanted to do.
The only things I need to get more detail on, when I click the button in Ring to turn on the transformer, they say "for 1 minute" and then I found a way to make it "for 4 hours", which may be okay, so I never leave them on completely. We'll see on this, may be beneficial, but not 100% sure.
