A friend mailed me three packets of Lion's Mane with the directions to "drink in coffee every morning for three days," then get back to him with how I felt.

DAY 1: I felt an extra jolt, something I couldn't quite put my finger on. My attention and focus seemed better, memory recall etc. It kind of felt like my brain was in the Matrix, I was able to catch anything that flew by me. It was amazing. I figured it was the placebo effect though.

DAY 2: I didn't feel quite the same intensity of results, but felt good.

DAY 3: I didn't feel quite anywhere near what I felt on day 1 and day 2, but I did notice that my mood had been consistently good for those three days, my mental energy was consistent from morning to night, and I was able to recall names, places, and facts without hesitation -- rarity for me. I ordered a box of my own.

DAY 4: No Lion's Mane, no withdrawals, no feelings of grogginess, just felt completely normal.

DAY 5: Still felt normal.

DAY 6: Normal still.

DAY 7: Got my box of Lion's Mane in the mail, gave some to my friends and asked them to tell me how they felt after 3 days of consistent use.

Everybody loved the initial rush of Day 1, all said they felt focusing was better. Some have been asking me to give them more since then lol. Tastes like the back of a stamp with earthy tones, and somebody said it definitely has a mushroom flavor. It really inspired me to find natural mental boosters, so grabbed some Ginkgo Biloba tea at the local Asian grocery and now make a morning elixir with the Ginkgo and Lion's Mane. I much prefer drinking it in a tea, rather than my coffee (I love the taste of coffee as it's own elixir).

The friend who sent me packets that started this whole thing uses Lion's Mane every day. He says he doesn't notice the effects anymore, but says that overall he feels great -- but he's a healthful dude overall.

Who really knows?

5 Stars though.

The Cordyceps Mushroom Elixir has helped me to cut down the excessive amounts of caffeine I was consuming and I don't even feel like I am missing energy. I have switched between too much coffee, too much matcha, too much yerba mate, or balancing caffeine pills/ L-Theanine with my tea/coffee- none of those have given me the consistent alertness I was really looking for. I can still enjoy my coffee and tea, but I no longer feel like my daily life force depends on my next cup of joe!

The reishi mushroom is incredible. I came into this a little skeptical. I am not a huge fan of mushrooms but love the ideas of ayurveda. The tea is super bitter (even with honey), but it is totally worth it. It relaxed my muscles and helped give me one of the best nights of sleep I have had in a long time.

Drinking Four Sigmatic Chaga Mushroom Elixir has changed my life for the better. My allergies were much more manageable this allergy season without the use of otc drugs. I receive complements on my skin daily and my energy levels have improved.

I've been looking for something to help with focus and endurance, and this works wonders, I heard of this from Tim Ferris' podcast and immediately went to try some for myself.
A bit about myself I'm anti coffee (never drank it, never will), so I didn't get the Lion's Mane and Chaga Coffee Mixture that many others have gotten, instead I purchased the Lion's Mane Mushroom Elixir
I've tried dried lion's mane from my local grocery store and lion's mane pills before, but this is something different it blows the other products out the water.
The dosage of lion's mane in each packet its well worth it, each packet contains 1.5g (1500mg) of lions mane, more than I would expect which is great, more bang for the buck.
Some people are complaining about the taste, although it is not a pleasant taste, it doesn't take away from the effects that it produces, I think the taste (bland and earthy) adds to the wakefulness and alertness that the concoction produces.

Description

Your nightly ritual is about to get an upgraded with our Reishi Mushroom Elixir, which contains 1,500 mg of Reishi mushroom. When consumed in continuous, small doses, Reishi has been shown to support the body’s sleep cycles as well as support occasional stress. We love relaxing with Reishi before bed and waking up feeling refreshed.

We’ve all been there--It’s almost midnight and you’re in bed, staring at the clock. You’re thinking about your early morning meetings and how much easier they will be if you get a good night’s sleep. While our brains do not have on and off switches, there are certainly ways to help yourself find relaxation and support your body’s sleep. We are big believers in the calming effects of the Reishi mushroom - one of the world’s most researched ingredients.

Our linden log-grown Red Reishi mushroom (ganoderma lucidum) extract is made by extracting the fruiting bodies. Organic, non-GMO, and free from fillers and carriers.

We’ve always held these beautiful, deep red Vitamin C bombs close to our heart. As kids, we used to play with “itching powder” from the inside of these fruits and later on, we started eating them as a tasty roadside snack. Each elixir has 18mg of vitamin C per serving.

Known as ""The Queen of Herbs"", Tulsi adds a delicious and nourishing herbal infusion to our nightly elixir.

Can not speak highly enough of the Reishi Mushroom Elixir. I've had sleeping problems for most of my life, particularly just falling asleep, as my mind tends to race before bed. I've been taking the Reishi almost daily for the past couple weeks, and with the exception of one day, it has worked wonders in helping me fall asleep quickly, soundly, and waking up without any morning grogginess. It's reduced the amount of time I spend in bed not sleeping, between trying to fall asleep in the evening, and convincing myself to wake up in the morning.

I drink it as a tea, 1 hour before I want to go to bed. Personally, I enjoy the taste of the tea. It's got a bitter, earthy flavor, with a slight sweetness that softens the taste. The taste may not be for everyone though. I'll wash after drinking and then get in to bed with a book, and usually within 5 pages of reading, I'll start to feel an intense calmness and sleepiness, at which point i just put the book aside, take off my glasses, and fall asleep almost immediately. I don't believe it's a placebo given how intense the feeling is, so I would highly recommend it for people who have some basic day to day sleeping troubles.

I've also tried the Lion's Mane, and as other reviews have stated, I feel something different, but it's hard to pinpoint what exactly. The effect does seem to wear off a bit with daily use, or perhaps you just get used to the feeling. Not as big a fan of the flavor of this one, but it's a decent addition to a regular coffee as it does have some sweetener.

I often feel like my brain is in spiderwebs and it's frustrating. When my brother told me about this product he heard of, I was skeptical but figured it was worth trying. I'm glad I did. The elixir made me feel more clear and more confident in my ability to use my brain well. I felt like I could 1. recall words faster without being tongue tied, and 2. had more energy and focus to get things done as opposed to putting off tasks. I've questioned whether or not it's a placebo effect but even if it is, it's worth it. After several days of taking this I didn't feel the effects as much. I wondered if stopping and starting again would change that. So, after the package supply ran out and due to (what I think is) the high cost, I tried another company's lower cost product in pill form and was disappointed. After two weeks of not taking this elixir but taking the pills, I started the elixir again today and immediately felt the same positive effects.

During my first try with the elixir, I couldn't stand the taste and had to chug it without smelling it. I told myself it was for the greater good but it was not enjoyable. Although it is sweetened with stevia, it still grossed me out. This time, however, I don't love it but it's more tolerable - maybe because I know that I feel better. In my experience it's best to drink it with a small cup of hot water - like a tea- rather than adding honey or other beverages to it. Doing that seems to only worsen the taste of the beverage you like as opposed to improving the earthy taste of the elixir.

Last, and totally not relevant to the effects of the elixir: I like the design on the packaging and I LOVE the way the individual packets feel. They're soft and make me feel like I'm going to consume something fancy.

Tried it and you’d think, “how can this taste good”? Honestly, I really like mushrooms and love savory so this fits me to the “tea”.

This is a powder and not in tea bags—- so just be aware when opening so you don’t spill it. I prefer this to be drank hot.

Definitely helped me feel snoozy and have considered buying valerian drops to put in this to help further induce the sleep aid.

I have been dealing with chronic insomnia for years and have tried everything under the sun, from Western Pharma that always had unpleasant side affects to acupuncture, various Naturopathic sleep remedies and therapy. I found out about this product from watching a review on a YouTube channel. I figured why not try it. I consulted with my Naturopath to make sure it was safe to use with my other supplements. After the okay and a week later, I am amazed at the improvement in my overall quality of sleep.
I take the tea about an hour before bed and actually feel tired and ready for bed, not wired and agitated. If I do wake up at night, I am able to get right back to sleep. I know this product won't work for everyone but I would highly recommend trying it for sleep and relaxation or anxiety.

The flavor is super good and I have enjoyed this elixir drink very much. I ordered one box and I have used about 5 packets. I'm saving the individual packets for travel since I also have another Lion's Mane product for home use. (see below)
My only concern in regards to the "energy" you get after drinking the elixir is, is it the added ingredient Rhodiola or the mushroom? I was totally unaware this was in the product when I bought it. I found it contained this plant quite by accident. I researched the herb/plant and discovered its benefits and recommended dosage. The recommended beginning dose of Rhodiola is 100mg per day to start. This product has 200mg. If you're sensitive to herbs or medication, this is a pretty big hit for first timers. So, just be aware. I wish Four Sigmatic had given the fabulous Lion's Mane a chance by itself so that we could judge the benefits of the mushroom on its own. For this reason, I also purchased FRESHCAP brand Lion's Mane mushroom powder. I have been using this product for over two weeks and I do indeed feel the benefits. I have more energy and I feel focused and I stay focused when working on a project.
I really like the Four Sigmatic product, however, I'm going to stick with FRESHCAP Lion's Mane powder for a while and see how it goes. I can add Rhodiola on it's own if I feel I'd like to.
I love both products! I ordered both from Amazon.... Enjoy!
