EdgeStar 2.0 Cu. Ft. All-in-One Ventless Washer and Dryer Combo - Silver

We bought this directly through Compact Appliances. We purchased this for the convenience in a small apartment. Not only does this product wash clothes well, it does dry them completely. The key is to load the washer half full, per instructions, and wash clothes. It takes about 2 to 2.5 hours start to finish for one load. But worth it if you don't want to haul laundry to an apartment laundry center. Purchased the mobility kit so it moves easily, and also an anti vibration mat, and a 5 year warranty. It hooks up to the sink and uses a regular plug outlet. Clothes come out clean, wrinkle free, and best of all dry. It takes a little bit of getting used to, but it is an awesome machine. If it continues to work this well, it will pay for itself in less than a year, it's a good investment.

It cleans well, and the makers of this machine already for tell it will leave clothing kinda damp in the dry cycle. But if your clever, just open up the soap dispenser before you start the drying cycle as a vapor vent, toss in a dry towel, or take your clothing out immediately once it is done. Clothing is hot, dry, and will not be damp, IF you catch them when the machine ends the drying process.
Besides that, love the machine, clothing gets very clean.

Pro tip: you should remove the top cover, remove the 5 screws from the fan, and clean out the fan and the vent below the fan every once in a while or else lint builds up and clogs the fan vent. if this happens, your clothes don't dry well or you get an E3A error. Edgestar has a video on how to do it. it's pretty easy, even a novice can do it.

I recently moved into a new house and decided on this instead of a regular washer and dryer. I've had this thing running non-stop fora week washing everything that built up for the last three months while i was selling the old house and finding a new one including all the blankets and shirts I used to cover up my furniture. and every load was overloaded and it still did fine. Some of the other reviews aren't fair in the fact that it is programmed to stay on 15 minutes until it senses everything is dry and this is a feature and not a defect. it even says it in the manual. And everything while it does come out slightly moist to the touch, it's dry by the time you fold it.

Pros:
-Set it and forget it. No having to move loads between units. this allows you to completely change your washing habits for the better. Casually wash smaller loads more often. it's a lot less stress.
-good quality. I've beaten the thing up and it's still chugging nicely.
-very efficient on detergent and water
-quiet
-does not need to be vented.
-quick and easy setup and even moving it is a lot easier because of its size
-the space saved in the laundry room can then be used for hampers, clothes hanging, or even install a folding table
-no stress washing small loads since you won't waste water or detergent.
-very energy efficient
-looks pretty nice and is well designed.

Cons
-clothes come out wrinkled and doesn't de-lint very well. Some of this is attributed to my overfilling, but sometimes you need to overfill to fit your comforter in there and such.
-2 cubic feet is probably no good for a family.

I dunno, even with a few fleas, I really enjoy the fact that I can casually put in small loads hit the button and forget about it until I'm ready to fold. Like I said, the washing experience changes and it's not as much of a chore as it used to be with two distinct unit where you did huge loads all at once. As long as you change your wash patterns, this thing will fit nicely into your life and make washing a lot less stressful.

We live in a small apartment and our complex's laundry mat has broken machines that eat your money. So instead of hauling our laundry everywhere we took a gamble on this and it has genuinely changed our lives. It's convenient, quiet, and doesn't spike the electric bill. We've had this machine for two months and have had no issues.
A couple important things to know:
1.) Not for a large family. Since the loads are smaller and takes a while to dry, you'd constantly be doing laundry.
2.) Keep your drain hose elevated properly. We noticed that our clothes weren't drying all the way and realized that since we had the drain hose loosely hanging, the water wasn't being pushed properly by the compressor and was flowing back into the drum.
3.) Don't overload the machine! We never load it more than 3/4 of the drum capacity.

Hope this helps! It's a wonderful machine, as long as you know all of the tricks.

Just purchased this combo washer/dryer. So far so good. I’ve done a few loads. Small loads per instructions. Clothes are clean and a little damp & wrinkled, but after you shake them out and hang them up they are fine. The size is great!!
Installation took 5 mins. It takes about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs for a load. I think washing like things together is best..like towels only. Would buy it again. And will update this review in 6 months

Unit is quiet, easy to operate, and does it's job. Not the best dryer. It gets clothes dry enough, but leaves things really wrinkled. This unit was purchased for use in a remote cabin to put in the bathroom; the only place it would fit. The small footprint makes it look like it belongs in there. And it is an attractive appliance. It does what I need it to. A person could wash with it and hang clothes out to dry, and they would look way better. I'd buy it again, though.

good little unit. There is a learning curve to it when it comes to wrinkled jeans. Pretty stable on its own feet but shakes a lot on the wheels (portability kit). I'm using it in an RV. Much better than using a public laundromat.

Bought one and had a problem, the company sent a new unit and it works flawlessly. A very good company to work with and fast to respond to my problems. Important to read the instructions!!

This washing machine is amazing! I'm very happy with my EdgeStar 2.0... Installation was very simple. I installed my EdgeStar underneath my kitchen countertop. I hooked up my hose's to the water supply line and connected my drain hose to a dishwasher tailpiece plumbing pipe. I haven't had any issues. However, I strongly recommend that you purchase the extended 5 year Asurion Major Appliance Warranty that Amazon offers. Better to be safe than sorry...

Great for small loads and convenient in our condo. Drying is lengthy but purchased dry rack and a solution.
