I've only had it up and running for a few days but so far it's my favorite bedside safe. I've had many of the gunvault and sentry safes in my time but this is far and above all of them in quality and function. The smartphone app is also very good and makes setup and personalizing the settings a breeze. The app also allows for monitoring the rechargeable battery but the fact that it's built in proprietary makes me not look forward to the day it needs replacing. According to the manufacturer the battery will last a year without recharging but time will tell. Fingerprint reader seems a step above the average requiring a firm press to activate and can be adjusted for sensitivity should you choose. RFID dongle and cards work flawlessly as well. I chose the matte black and it looks like a high end piece of tech on my bedside table. Even my wife likes how it looks and that's a first! Fit and finish is perfect and feels solid as a rock. I'll update the review as time goes on but so far I'm very happy with my purchase.
Update 2/24/17: Been almost 7 months since I charged it and the battery is currently at 89%! So far everything is working as expected with no issues.
Update 8/4/17: So it's been just over a year now and battery is at 83%! I'm still very happy with this safe and it's flawless operation. This will be the last update unless something significant occurs.

Easily holds my Springfield XDS 9mm and two additional 8 round magazines. Initially I was hesitant to buy as it's rather expensive. However I have owned this for a few months now and I have not once regretted my purchase. The finger print sensor has never failed me, which was pleasantly surprising as I have had some frustrating issues with other fingerprint bio-metric devices in the past.
The battery seems to be very good as well. I have only charged it once, when I first received it. I open and close it several times daily as I always conceal carry when I leave my house, from what I can tell myself and from other reviewers it likely wont need a charge for several months or more. Also a bonus that was not indicated in the description is it's lit from the inside, so even in the pitch black of night you can see everything inside saving precious seconds fumbling around.
I got mine in the stainless steel finish and it blends in with my decor seamlessly, to everyone else it appears to be a piece of tech, not until I show them do they even begin to suspect it's a container, let alone a gun safe. All my friends whom are fellow gun owners have been very impressed and always ask where to get one.
Buy this and have the piece of mind of easy and safe access to your firearms. Safer all around for everyone if you ask me :-P you won't regret it!
This gun safe works very well and as advertised. Unlike several reviews that said the fingerprint scanner was flawed, I found it works very well. It works every time! I set it up on my iPhone with the app Gunbox provided in the set up instructions. The RFID card and fob both also work great. There is more tech stuff here than I need. Don't know what more I could ask for. Oh, yeah, it looks really classy too!
Quick easy access to my gun right next to my bed. No one can tell want it is, just looks like a normal case and looks decent. My only complaint is that the motion alarm goes off for every tiny little vibration. i wish it would be less sensitive so to go off only if actually moved. i have turned off the motion completely, but still love the convenience of this case.
More expensive than just any regular safe hut looks sleek and works great. Alarm a benefit as well as fingerprint, RFID, and passcode!

Update:
Turns out the phone app does work with my Galaxy 6S. The problem was user error, but it took GunBox over 2 months to figure that out. That said, they did keep our dialog going until we solved the problem.
Now I can comment about the phone app. While the phone app can open the box, that isn't its primary purpose. The phone app is used to configure the GunBox and view its status. I suspect that most of what you can do with the app you can also do without it, but the app makes it easier. I used the app to set the alarm, set up the fingerprint reader, and configure the RFID dongles and cards. To use the phone app you have to hit the shield button on the box to connect to the phone . . . every . . . time you want to do something. The connection times out after about 20 seconds for security, so you have to be quick and don't want to give your RFID tags a long name. Again, this is only a problem when setting the GunBox up. After that you won't use the app much.
I still like the GunBox and I am planning to buy another one. It looks good, it's solidly built, and it's easy to operate. I use the RFID tags to open it. The fingerprint reader works about 50% of the time for me, but that's about standard with any fingerprint reader I have used. I haven't tried the lower "Sure Set" setting that makes the reader more forgiving (and less secure) yet. The only thing I don't much care for is the smell of contact cement when the GunBox opens. I asked them about that and they said that contact cement is the only thing they can use to make the rubber stick. They say that the battery will last up to a year between charges. Of course I would assume that depends on use and environment. You can check battery status with the app. I would encourage anyone considering buying a GunBox to go to their website and watch the tutorials first to see how they work.
It's a nice box, appears to be well made, it looks pretty, and the Kensington lock is a nice add on.

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. He loves it. It took about 20 minutes to set up. We down loaded the app and followed the directions. Pretty easy. It is very sensitive and the alarm does go off quite easily. But I believe we may be able to adjust that.
This is far and away one of the most innovative products I have come across and solves a very old problem of pistol ownership, being responsible enough to have your pistol solidly locked away, while having it accessible for an emergency. The RFID access responds more quickly than the fingerprint and if you were panicking, I'd say the RFID method (key fob or card) would be more reliable. You can of course leave the keyfob on your keys for quick access.
The GunBox 2 is solidly built, ideal for a nightstand drawer. I charge it and leave it in there, but the USBs would be useful for charging devices if it was left out. As a lover of new technology, it's really nice to see a very practical application of what's now possible.
I'm going to watching this company closely and I'm excited about the next version of this product they bring out.
Pretty satisfied with the product. Phone app works pretty well, except for the password function. Will not maintain connection long enough to enter password.
Also, if you have dry hands the fingerprint reader might not work. Have to wet fingers to rehydrate fingerprints at times.
