Mission was the only helmet liner I found that DOES fit above the ears, essential for a cyclist in S. Florda and a very heavy "head sweater". I have a fairly small head and it fits well, there is still a little bit of room for medium sized heads. Mission was more expensive than the other 3 Under Armor liners I tried, but hands down fits, feels and works the best. I have been using it for a few months and there is no sign of stretch or wear. Rinse, wring and ready for the next day...
This is a skull cap, not a beanie, it is cut in the pattern of a fez not a beanie. The fez cut is most likely why some reviews say it fits a bit funny, it is not a beanie cut with multiple triangular shaped pieces forming a domed cap. It is a good cap anyway, maybe better depending on the person and need. This cap is a simple fez cut with two pieces, the head band piece and a circular top piece. This is also simpler and faster to manufacture, 1 surger seam start to finish....makes it durable and is less exspensive for us to buy. The second most mentioned review point is the tightness of the headband that holds the cap on. It is a truthfully TIGHT headband and it will not fall off even if the head it clamps on to is upside-down and shaking violently. It stays on a bald head really well as the headband has a gripping tackyness and it can be positioned in several ways, even beret style, and it stays put! These two points make this cap great. Fits under all my helmets and hats, stays on no matter what, looks good and keeps heavey sweat from my goggles and eyes, top panel wicks sweat and heat away and keeps sunshine off me, I like this cap very much and have ordered a second one in black.
Just for the record, I’m OH gal’s husband. Cap arrived today just in time for my ride (bike). My size is exactly 21.5” and I wear a small men’s bike helmet. The skull cap was initially pretty snug around the band. Comfortable band, but ‘tight’. My first reaction was to send it back but I knew I would’t get much of a ‘return’ so I decided to try it. After a short time, I forgot I was wearing it. The band may have given a little but it’s still pretty snug. It your head is larger than 21.5/22 inches, I suggest you look for another skull cap. My hair is cut very short - 1/16” all around so if you have more hair and a small head this may not fit you.
On the positive side, it otherwise fits well and is comfortable. As for the ‘cooling properties,’ I guess it works ok. Temp was only 71 today with a breeze but my head didn’t sweat even during my ‘training runs.’ Plan to try it tomorrow as the temp is to be 84 - hot enough to ‘test’ the cooling properties.
I have been wearing Under Armour Skull caps at the Gym or under my helmet when skiing/snowboarding, but I wanted something a little bit less expensive and with a better band at the bottom of the cap. The mission Vapor active skull cap did just that and then some at just under 1/2 price. I've tried many others and most seemed to bulky, but this one fits just right and has a little tacky feeling on the bottom band which keeps the cap in place. I just ordered another black, camo, and white versions.
This thing isn't going anywhere. It is secure but because of that, it might be a little uncomfortable for some and require a breather for a few seconds periodically. Unlike another product I own, when you sweat it out, it dries quick and doesn't get soaked so taking it off for a minute and putting it back on doesn't result in that gross feeling of cold sweat all over your head.

The grippy headband is nice. The crown is a little high, meaning if I put the band just above my ears there's a lot of room in the cap. If you have a lot of hair this is perfect. If, like me, you have short hair that you want to keep from getting motorcycle helmet ridges this won't work so well.
I wear a size small cap, and this fit perfect. Stays in place, keeps me cool, and keeps the sweat out of my eyes.
I absolutely love this skull cap! Fits snugly, yet not too tight. Prevents the sweat from running down your face. Plus the camo pattern is awesome.
I use this as a sweatband to prevent the sweat from dropping into my glasses when biking. Works great.
I bought for my 11 year old to wear under his Lacrosse helmet. So far so good. Primarily we bought it to keep his hair out of his eyes as the helmet pushes it down. This keeps it contained. He doesn't sweat as much in it too.
