Got these as a workaround for the no nails/drilling clause in my lease so I could hang up my 15 pound mirror. I did not rub the wall with rubbing alcohol. I did not wait an hour for the strips to set before hanging. I did not use 4 pairs of strips—I used 6 to be on the safe side. And 24 hours later, there is still a 15 lb. mirror magically attached to my wall without any screws or nails. Two strips on each side (left and right) and one strip on top and one on bottom. I also wedged some quake at the bottom of the mirror (it probably does nothing but nonsensically reassures me). Going to use these all over the house now!
Amazing and very secure! Love this product most of the stuff in this wall is being help up by the strips. Can’t say enough good things!
I used this to hang a fabric poster in my son's room. It was not real heavy and we do live in Texas so we do have humidity my nest states 58% in our home most days. This is a super easy hanging system. It really looks like 2 pieces of velcro which you mash together for simple hanging of a poster or picture. Now I have not yet hung anything heavier. I did read the other comments before buying this that stated that the humidity has caused the strips to fall but I have not experienced that. I do however plan to hang some heavier items and will come back to update this review if needed.
I use these to professionally hang my art for exhibition.
A curator friend who works iwth multimillion dollar merchandise recommended them to me.
One word of caution: I find that if you work in a gallery or other room that does not have humidity control, and you use it on an item over 1 pound, they item may fall off the wall and smash the glass on your frame, possibly damaging the art.
This is an extreme hazard in many of my art environments. For this reason, I'd give this item 2 stars.
But, it works great otherwise. AND it's the best alternative out there so far. If there were something better, I'd give it 2 stars.
You just have to use the old fashioned nail/wiring otherwise.
Their poster bits are absolutely 5-star - but that's for another review. Just thought I'd mention.
Amazing! I didn't want to have to put holes in my newly painted walls so I found this as an alternative. I had a few large heavy frames to hang up and I placed 2 strips on the top and both sides of frame and it has held up very well. I was cautious because I didn't really think this would be an effective way to hang my heavy items but it has worked out great!

I use these all the time and they are great. My walls don't get damaged anymore for hanging pictures. You do have to use a lot of them to secure your items. One of these will not hold near the max weight.
Love these! All my pictures are held with these, even the larger pictures. At first I was cutting them smaller instead of using the whole strip, but after a while, picture came crashing down. For small frames, I use 1/2 of the strip on 2 sides (top or bottom), for 8x10 I use whole strip on top corners only, and for poster size frames I use whole strips on all 4 corners. So far, so good, no crashing, however, not sure how long they actually hold with temperature changes, so it might end up loosing the stickiness in the long run. Wish these value packs also came in black for dark walls (like mine). I've added a picture so you can see the different size of frames (4x8, 8x10, and poster size). I definitely recommend them. LOL ... just noticed that one of my picture in the frame (large one) is crooked.
I'm in the military so I move every few years, these are perfect for me since I have a lot of art that I like to surround myself with and these strips not only save the walls but my artwork as well. I'm not afraid of damaging the walls or my art. I was nervous about the strips holding up, but they do and have held up for sometime, just be aware not to use too little.
In some cases I cut the strips in half to stretch out it's usefulness, but only on items and walls that I can easily remove the tape from. I haven't noticed any residue and I've used these strips on wood and plastic frames.
This product works *beautifully* on the painted concrete block walls of my public school classroom, even with fairly large and heavy glass/wood frames. One big caveat: Follow the directions *as shown*; they're important! Otherwise, you may well be disappointed with the results of your own slackitude.
These 3M strips are amazing if 👏🏻 used 👏🏻 as 👏🏻 instructed. Don’t think you can just smack these on the back of a picture and put it up like a post-it note, especially if the item is on the heavier side. You need to place them, then take the picture off the wall and let them sit for about an hour. If you don’t wait long enough, the adhesive won’t stick well enough to hold and your stuff may tumble to the ground.
Follow them to take the picture off, too. Pulling straight off is guaranteed wall damage. They hold very well in both the Velcro and adhesive at 90 degree angles. Pull as per instruction.
Otherwise, they’re great for hanging all kinds of things without drilling, banging, or marring paint. Sure, you won’t have immediate hanging satisfaction, but it’s worth it.
