- It doesn't come with anything to stick it to anything else. I used clear command strips for this purpose and they work great.
- It is a little thicker than you might think it will be. Not a big deal, but definitely a little thicker than 2 credit cards (see pics)
- If you want to use it on a device without a sim card in it (like I am), you can't use it to make the phone ring.
- You really need to be in the near vicinity to hear it if it's covered by something (like a couch cushion). See video.
- No matter what I do I can't get the app to allow me to change the little ring tone even though you're supposed to be able to. The app seems a little buggy to me.
Those things aside, it really does do what it says it will do and I have had very little problem locating my sons device using the app on my iPhone to make it play the little jingle. In short, I'm really glad I bought this and over all it works as advertised! I paid full price for this and did NOT receive it for free or at a discount.
Before I bought the Tile Slim, I had a really bad problem with misplacing my wallet. (Technically, I still have it.) However, because of the tile slim, it's not been a real problem for me since. I just linked the tile to my phone's Bluetooth (it does require bluetooth) and when I go searching for it, I have to walk around the house until it picks up the signal and "sings" until I find it. I only wish at times it had a stronger signal since you really have to walk throughout the entire room slowly before you can be sure whatever you're searching for isn't in that room.
In any case, it does what I asked of it for, and I honestly still want to buy more tiles for my keys or things that I easily misplace. (I'm one of those people.) I'd recommend the tile if you're good at misplacing things, too.
I purchased this slim Tile for my grandson who loses everything. Seriously, he has a brain injury and one of his deficits is that he is constantly losing keys, wallet, and phone. I purchased a few of the Tiles last year and they work great, but didn't have replaceable batteries. This year I'm buying the ones with replaceable batteries because they do only last about a year. We found the slim tile to be the best for his wallet--no bulk to add to the wallet. He has used them so many times, I can't count. They have always proved to be reliable and so far, have never let him down. If you have someone in your family or any friends who are constantly losing things, I highly recommend the Tiles. You will be happy you did. I just can't say enough good things about these wonderful life-saving little Tiles. I gave the battery life only 4 stars because it really is quite a let-down when that happens. Thank you Tile for adding replacement batteries to the new ones.
This is a game changer. I honestly don't know how I lived before I got this. I would lose my wallet every single day and be scrambling in the morning to find it before I left for work. No longer. I find that I can keep track of it better and barely need to use the beeper anymore. It's loud and noticeable for how small it is. I've had no issues hearing the ring even muffled under piles of clothes that lay around that I wish someone would finally get to washing. Can't fix all issues I suppose.
Incredible little device! Tracks very well with the app. I think anyone that has gotten frustrated, may be a result of the location settings. There are many pop ups initially that you must approve on iPhone, to ensure background tracking. I have not noticed any significant loss in battery life from turning on tracking features.
I put this item in my 5 year olds pants as an emergency tracker if we enter public spaces. Gives me that extra piece of mind. By accident, I forgot to pull out the device, and I washed his pants. Tile continues to work like a charm! 5 stars no doubt!

I use this device to locate my wife's medication bag. Sometimes she doesn't remember where she placed it. Works very well within the confines of a room. Not loud enough to find within a space the size of an entire house. However, moving from room to room while listening for it's signal will locate the tile and what it has been attached to.
I kept the tile slim in my minimalist wallet (they are easy to lose or leave in your pockety since they are so small and light). I did leave it my jeans pocket and put the jeans in the washing machine and ran them through a wash cycle. When I couldn't find my wallet I looked in the now dry jeans and it wasn't there. So I added a shirt to the washer and went to my tile app on my phone to find the tile. The app didn't turn green anywhere in the house until I walked into the laundry room. I pressed on the find button and could here the app in the washing machine. It was still working after having gone through two wash cycles. :>)
So far, so good.
Everything seems to be working as advertised. The Tile Slim activated and paired without issue.
I am not a fan of the non-replaceable battery though. I will make the decision in a year whether to replace the entire Tile or go with one that has a replaceable battery
Our middle kiddo with autism loves to hide devices once the battery dies (i.e. behind couches, beds and dressers.) Not sure if he is mad at it for dying, but we can't loose any devices because he is non-verbal that is method of communication, AAC. Now we just walk around, look for the green circle, then play the melody... bam the device is found in no time. We have one less struggle on our ASD plate! And in our crazy life, that is very much appreciated.
While driving from Eugene, Oregon to Portland, I pulled over in a rest area and my wallet fell out of my car. I didn't notice it and 100 miles later I got out of my car in Portland, couldn't find my wallet, and checked my tile app. Instead of wasting my time searching for my wallet in the car, the app showed me the exact location to the inch, where my wallet had fallen out of the car in the parking lot of the rest area. I returned to the rest area 7 hours after losing my wallet. It wasn't there. But...because this is Oregon, some guy that night drove to my house in Eugene and handed me my wallet. Turns out he had pulled into my spot right after I had left the rest area. The point is, the tile gave me pinpoint accuracy of where the tile was the last time it had been near my phone. The second point is, that if you are going to lose your wallet, it's best to lose it in Oregon.
