I prefer my Kindle naked, especially when reading. And while some would call that strange (my aunt for example), I call it practical and light. My latest Kindle purchase started me on a bit of a journey to find the right container for my little naked ereader. My first attempt was with the BUILT Neoprene Envelope Case for the Touch and K4. You can read my review on its product page, but just to sum it up, I was left feeling grossly underwhelmed. However I have to comment that between the two sleeves, the Built is thinner and softer, but for some reason I prefer Timbuk2's.

So, I finally decided to try another Timbuk2 sleeve, already having been somewhat pleased with their nylon sleeve I purchased for my K2. The only thing holding me back was the price, $35 (yikes). Quick tip. If you stick an item in your cart, Amazon will notify of a price change when you return. I got this during a brief price dive of $25.

Pro:
Simple and Streamlined
Very Soft & Plush Inside (No chance of Scratches)
Fits K4 & Touch (Along with the K3 very very snugly-but it does fit)
Thick ballistic nylon protection. (No worries with damage here)
Easy to handle and hold

Con:
Price (Yikes)
Plush ?? ( I thought the case would be soft or thinner than the Nylon version, but nope)
Pretty Color options (But not too girly)
Could be even more streamlined/thin and the flap could definitely be thinner for easier closure and overall less bulkiness.
Bulkier than the Nylon sleeve version.

So to sum up, while I am happy with this purchase, I would have gone with the plain nylon version for less bulkiness if I had to do it all over again. However, since I got a good deal on this one and I really do like the color/design, I have decided to keep it.

I use these sleeves for everything that'll fit in them now. I have one for my iPad 2, used one for my old Kindle 3, and now am using one on my new Kindle 4. I gotta say, the fit and finish on these things is outstanding. Top notch quality, durable nylon exterior and very soft liner, with a dense "memory foam" padding. I have no fear from drops or scratches while my Kindle is inside this sleeve.

The only negative I can think of is the price. It is on the expensive side in my opinion considering it's nearly half the price of the Kindle itself, but you do actually get what you pay for in this case. It will last longer than the Kindle you're using it with.

As long as they keep making these sleeves for Kindles and iPads, I'll keep buying them. Keep up the good work, Timbuk2!

I bought this cover for my Kindle Touch. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived as it exceeded my expectations. The inside feels like a really really soft rug and is very gentle on the kindle. The outside is very durable. In fact, at one point, my weimaraner grabbed the kindle off the counter and began to play with it. The case was left without a scratch and the kindle was totally protected. What could have been a disaster was made a non-issue by the Timbuk2 Case.

5 Stars!!

I purchased the "Gunmetal/Limeaid" version of this envelope/sleeve and really like it. As a guy, I wasn't crazy about some of the other color options offered and was just going to go with the plain black version, however, I'm happy I purchased this version. It looks cool/stylish.

My Kindle Touch fits perfectly inside. I have to use their terms, so sorry for all the quotation marks. What they call "faux fur" is actually a really nice soft lining inside. Their "memory foam" seems like it should offer plenty of protection. You can tell from the pictures that it has a quilted design, and there is a good amount of cushioning. It's very well made, and sturdier than I expected. In particular, the corners and edges have far less give than I was expecting and seem like they could protect the device if it was dropped from a few feet.

Other reviewers suggested that Timbuk2 include some sort of built-in hard insert to help protect the screen. I think that's worth Timbuk2 considering as an option for a future version. However, based on how I plan on taking care of my device, I'm pretty comfortable that this cover will be more than adequate for my needs.

Overall, really like it!

I love these things. Super soft on the inside: no scratches. Firm yet compliant padding, tough exterior, secure closure, cool colors. I have four of these for various devices, including my iPad. Great product.

Books weep at the site of this high density memory foam and faux fur Kindle sleeve. Its snug fit and shock-absorbing materials keep your Kindle safe not matter how rough you get. Reading (non-books) has never been so pimp.

I bought this case for my $79 model kindle and didn't want to spend a lot on a case but wanted something that would protect the Kindle on its daily trip to work and the gym with me. I'm very tough on my Kindle while it's in this case and for some reason my dog loves to walk over it and lay on it. So far this case has provided great protection for my kindle and I don't worry about it getting damaged at all, even when it is just thrown in my luggage or shoved between the seats in the car. The memory foam is great and provides good protection and I believe it would do well in falls. This case has an excellent build quality and I have been carrying it to the gym and work with me constantly for a couple months now and it still looks just as good as the day I got it. I love this case so much I'm now thinking about picking one up for my iPAD.

This is the 3rd Timbuktu product I have purchased through Amazon, and does not disappoint. I have had my first Timbuktu case for about 4 years now and it is as good as new. This case is just as well made and I look forward to its use for years to come. The velcro clasps keep the sleeve closed but are easy to open. The padding really protects the device. The plush interior helps keep the screen clean and prevents scratches. I have dropped my Kindle products (both eReaders and Fires) many times (I'm a klutz) and the products remain good as new.

I bought this back in December of 2010 for my son's Kindle (Keyboar Kindle) through another retailer. It is just now showing wear from daily use by an active teenager for 3 years. d

He's taken this case to school every day for 3 years and just now getting that seen better days look. Am totally impressed that it took this long for it to look like that. Just smudges a little bit of the piping starting to come unravelled.

Decided since he goes to school and out in public with it that it was time to replace this item with a newer fresher looking one. Holds his new Kindle Paperwhite very well. Was happy to see Amazon carried this same make and model so I could order him a new one.

I could go to one of the local gadget stores and buy a cheaper sleeve, but there is no way I would settle for any sleeve but this one. I looked and this remains the best IMO.

At full retail price the Plush sleeve from Timbuk2 is a bit overpriced, but it is very well made and offers excellent protection. The sleeve is a little big for the 4th gen 6" Kindle I bought it for, but that leaves room for stuffing the charger in there with it. I like the style of the sleeve with the contrast stitching, it's very well made (like most Timbuk2 products), and does an excellent job at it's designed function.

This is a great pouch. My kindle silps right in there and I can stick it in the back pocket of my purse and go anywhere. No worries about bumps, scratches or mishaps. Since there is not yet a way to put books in order, I also have room to put a couple of folded papers behind the kindle so I can read in the correct order, not just haphazard. Really like the pouch.
