I bought this on Black Friday for an awesome deal of a price. One of the reasons for choosing this cooktop is that it came with a magnetic pot; the pots I currently own aren't magnetic.
I think the cooktop itself is really good, so far I'm pleased with that. But the first time I used it, the pot it stained terribly; tonight I used it for the second time and things burned and stuck to the stains even though I'd scrubbed it well. In other words the pot is unusable after just two uses. It's just so thin and flimsy. What a shame because the pot is the perfect shape and size for the type of cooking I do. Now I have to spend more money to buy a decent pot and of course Black Friday sales are over.
So word to the wise, the cooktop seems to be really good so far, but if getting a pot with it would sway your choice of models, forget about it and just choose it or don't choose it based on how good the cooktop is and consider the pot to be a one use thing. It would probably be ok for boiling water but not for any actual cooking.
Use it once and it worked perfectly. Set the power to maximum (1800W) and it keeps the soup boiling when you throw the food in. The pot coming with cook top is thin and feels cheap, nonetheless perfect for hotpot. The fact is that there is no benefit using heavier and thicker ones for hotpot.
some reviewers complain about the durability of the cooktop, so I spend $6 on the 4-year protection plan. What can you lose?
We love Asian hot pot, and that was the main reason we purchased this, however it has so many other reg cooking uses. Love how easy it is to operate as long as you have the right cookware, luckily, we had 3 pieces that were compatiple. It does take a little bit to get used to and understand the temperature settings, but we are pleased.
I used it for Hot pot. The pot is very thin so I recommend that when you choose the hot pot setting to turn the temperature down lower. It works with other pots with magnetic bottoms just know that it will take longer if your bottom is thicker.

We have an induction cooktop, but when the power goes out this stand alone cooking element plugs right into a generator and viola, you can cook and eat til the lights come back on. Very efficient and affordable .
where has this been all my life. i will be adding induction cooking to my kitchen remodel musts.
Use it for hot pot this winter a lot, with my friend. It made this winter feel much warmer. :)
This works well to cook fast food and gives you more time to focus on family
We use this all the time now. I like to add hot water from the tap first so it gets to boiling in 45 seconds, even while im watching it! The pan that comes with it though is only inductive on the very bottom, so its the same as those induction adapters. Buttons are simple for anyone to use.
