Hemp is my favorite fiber to use for knitting because of its durability. I make soap bags and washcloths (see photos) and was not disappointed in how well this hemp worked. It's thick but easy to knit with and the final product has good sheen and drape even after many washings. Hemp twine balls are difficult to find in my town, so I will continue to purchase this excellent online product from Amazon.

I think this could be cheaper. The quantity and durability are perfect, but the thickness of the string varies. Some parts fit into an 8mm bead, while being 3 times thicker in others. I can work around this but I saw this for cheaper at Michaels and feel this can be priced lower too.

I purchased this hemp cord on May 24, 2014 and have since used it for a variety of purposes.

I have predominantly used this cord to tie plants to stakes in my large vegetable garden. The cord is extremely strong and easy to maneuver. Every single one of my plants was directly connected to stakes with this cord and not a single one ever came undone or ripped. In fact, this cord is so strong that I had to use a knife to cut it off my stakes at the end of the growing season!

Unlike other hemp cords on the market, this cord is very fine and does not have rough edges of poorly tied rope sticking out. This product is so large that I still have a fair amount left over, even though I used more cord that I can count for gardening, household usage, arts and crafts, and other purposes.

My cat also loves it as a toy, which is an added plus.

This stuff is great. I use it mostly for crafts. Dream catchers, bracelets, necklaces, that sort of stuff. Sometimes it is a bit stiff, but that's easily fixed by rolling it between my hands, and then it's perfect.

It's a really awesome price, for a lot of product.

I use this as whipping on hemp rope I use my own pattern this can be used for other ropes as well
I do not leave my hemp exposed to the elements for long periods of time

info about whipping from the web
Common Whipping Tying
Lay the twine against the rope and wrap the long end around the rope about 8 turns. Make a bight in the short end. Wrap the long end about 8 more times around both the rope and the bight. On the final turn pass the long end through the bight. Pull the short end to hide and secure the long one. Trim the ends off.

I got this as an inexpensive alternative to linen cord. So far I've used it for making a small leather belt pouch, and am very satisfied. I used it both for the stitching, and for attaching a toggle closure. I ran it over a lump of natural beeswax a few times, to provide some moisture resistance, and to smooth down the fibers. It did break once while I was stitching the bag, but I was applying firm pressure. For the price I think it's a great product. Some reviewers have complained of it's smell. I detect no smell.

This is great hemp cord. It's incredibly strong and clearly very natural. A lot of people seem to have a problem with earthy smell of the fibers, but I actually quite like it and it adds to the experience. Great purchase and well worth the price. It holds up very well.

One small concern is that the cord is not a consistent thickness, which is to be assumed from a less processed natural cord. For what I use it for, it doesn't matter at all, but do keep that in mind if you intend to work with beads etc. You may have some difficulty with this.

It is the right size and strength for my purpose. **The only thing I am unhappy about is that is smells like the dirty hay in an animal barn - GROSS** I will try to wash it as another reviewer suggested.

I thought this was a really good price in comparison to other sellers. The diameter looks thinner than I would have thought, but it seems to hold up really well. I have mainly used it in the garden for numerous uses and it seems really strong! I would buy it again.

I was hasitant to order this as i wasnt sure if this was strong enough to tie plant limbs together, but its fairly strong. As other reviewers have mentioned it does have a smell so depends on what you are using it for but works great for me.
