Rocketbook Everlast Mini Smart Reusable Notebook, Midnight Blue, 3.5

LOVING my Mini so far! I've been a proud user of the Everlast Executive for months now and I was so excited when I saw Rocketbook started making a travel version. I'm constantly on the go (who isn't...), so the smaller size goes right in my pocket or the front of my backpack. And I was also psyched that I can send notes from both Rocketbook's to the same cloud services with the same Rocketbook app account. Thanks Rocketbook! Please continue your infinite voyage!Rocketbook Everlast Mini Smart Reusable Notebook

This notebook functions like 44 dry erase boards in your pocket. As a nursing student, I write down tons of details that I typically never need to see again after my shift. About once a week, I like to wipe this notebook clean so that it’s fresh for the next week. Anything worth keeping (for example, questions to ask or look up later, notes on a specific pathology or tips from other nurses and my teacher) I digitize and send to my favorite cloud folders. If I could use a tablet for all my clinical paperwork and charting, I would but this is the next best thing for me. Because the pages wipe clean, I don’t have to worry about shredding. I do try not to press hard to keep the pages lasting longer but haven’t noticed many issues so far. I definitely am getting my use out of it! I’ve also purchased my mom one for Christmas and one for a nursing friend as well. If you go through many pages each day, you might consider keeping a small spray bottle the size of a lipstick to spray the microfiber cloth and wipe clean as needed on the go.

This is my first Rocketbook, so I really have nothing to compare it with. I got it for note-taking with my self-study courses, so that I can study during the day, upload my notes, and then display them on Google Drive at night on the computer. However, of the 3 pages I have uploaded, 2 are pretty much legible but the third one is not. It could be simply the larger ball size of the pen, because I write really, REALLY tiny (I have to buy my own pens for work: Pilot G2 Ultra Fine 0.38 because I simply cannot write bigger). I did buy some smaller pens, but they turned out to be an Asian knockoff and ran out of ink in no time. I will have to get some real Pilot Frixion pens and try again. I will update then.

Otherwise, erasing is easy (a little water), scanning and uploading is easy, so the Rocketbook itself seems fine. I will reserve opinion on the app until I can get pens more suited to my writing style.

I’m a waitress and I use this to replace traditional notebooks. It’s got 44 front and back pages, and I only need to clean it every couple shifts. It’s so much more efficient, and now I don’t have to worry about running out of paper at work anymore. Can’t recommend it enough. I’ve had several coworkers mention that they’re interested in getting one for themselves.

Bought this as an adjunct to the Rocketbook Everlast Executive Size. Absolutely love this product. Tough and holds up in my pocket with daily use. Some scratches on the cover, but that's cosmetic. Works perfectly and lets me keep all my temporary todo and daily lists. This helps tremendously with my organization.

Description

The way you take notes is about to change, in a SMALL way! The Rocketbook Everlast Mini is an endlessly reusable, cloud-connected, pocket sized notebook from the future! It works great with the space-aged technology in the free Rocketbook App which launches your notes to your favorite cloud services!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Rocketbook Everlast Mini. For one, I appreciated the fact that the Mini is the same size as the friction pen. Being able to carry both makes for an easy travel and keeps everything organized (since you need the friction pen for the device to work). Moreover, the size is convenient for storage. You can fit the Mini in a large hoodie pocket (or for the more professionally inclined, an outer suit jacket pocket). That said, may be a tight squeeze for jeans or a suit pant pocket.

An additional note for potential buyers, you will need to download the mobile app to store and upload (to the cloud) any notes you take on the device. Overall, I've been happy with the purchase thus far.

As a lefty, I was wary of the smudge factor (an issue I’ve had with the executive-size Everlast), but the smaller format of this makes that a non-issue for me.

I still prefer the feel of real pen and paper (the plastic feel of the paper and the nature of the Frixion ink both affect this), but for on-the-go notes to myself, this works more than well enough. After a few weeks of moderate to heavy use, I’ve erased the pages four times and still haven’t noticed any issues with the writing.

LOVE my rocketbooks! I've shown my friends and co-workers these notebooks. I purchased both the mini and the executive size rocketbooks.

Love that it's reusable, I initially purchased the rocketbook as something for classes, some things I know I'll never go back to so erasing them and not wasting the paper on saving the notes is ideal. There are other notes and briefings that I absolutely want to save the notes from and using rocketbook I have a really easy way to send those notes to myself to save everything I want.

I am in the army and some of the training courses as well or AARs (after action reviews) for training have key points I want to save as lessons learned that usually get buried in field notebooks and never revisited. With the rocketbook I have a much easier time grabbing the pages I want to keep with specified notes, and simply erasing the rest.

The rocketbook does not fully replace all of my notebooks - I do still have times (especially in the field) where the notebook wouldn't work, writing in the rain is going to be impossible (I tried, I lost notes, I was sad and used my regular notebook on a rainy day) but for regular everyday use this is awesome. I'm sure if you spill things onto these it'll cause issues just like me trying to run out in the rain with these will also cause them to be erased/wiped clean.

I do suggest being careful with the Frixion pens, when you use the pens if you accidentally use the erasers on the paper it will leave marks.

I already have a full-size Rocketbook that I absolutely love. I use the same notebook for personal, business, volunteering and homeschooling. When I scan it gets organized to the correct place which is super cool and efficient so I bought the mini for on the go. While I love it overall, there are some things that prevent me from giving it 5 stars.

The special pen ink requires about 15 seconds to dry before you can turn the page, if you are taking a long note in a small page, you will end up flipping too soon and end up with smudges. The pages don't turn smoothly on the spiral binding, you have to be very careful or you can potentially tear or bend a page, not cool when flipping pages in a rush.

You have to be very careful to only ever use the special pen. I have permanent marks on both of my notebooks because I was multitasking on other papers with a regular pen and didn't notice my error until I started writing in the Rocketbook.

The mini doesn't have the icons to select destintations like the full size notebook does, it makes sense due to space limitations but this means the extra step of selecting a destination when scanning each page. I wish there was a way to configure a default destination for mini pages in the app so I only have to go through the step if I need to change the destination.

The OCR feature is far from perfect but it's better than nothing. I love for it to at least read the title of my notes, that works well 99% of the time on my full size Rocketbook but it rarely works on my Mini so then I have yet another step of having to rename the note before sending to its destination.

Overall, I think this product is pretty good. Not only is it environmentally friendly, but it has allowed me to greatly reduce paper clutter and I can always find my notes from any internet connected device.

Rocketbook does it again! I've been using the larger executive size Rocketbook for a while and love the technology behind it. This mini version is a new favorite! It so convenient and easy to have in my bag or car. I'm in the middle of buying and designing a house so I use this mini to bring with me everywhere and jot down design ideas, drawings, and lists and later upload them to my google drive or text them. I'm definitely also going to buy one for my husband who is a sticky-note hoarder- this will be so much cleaner and better organized for his desk at his home office. Such a great product, definitely recommend!!
