This is a wonderful peeler! Very sharp so it does the job from peeling a carrot to mangos to Parmesan cheese! It is a perfect size and a must have in all kitchens just be careful because it is easy to cut yourself! Always cut AWAY from the body!
Bought this peeler for my mom and she reports that it works very well and recommends I buy one myself! I had a chance to use it the last time I was visiting her, and it peels potatoes like butter. It does leave little lines or ridges on whatever you are slicing due to the styling of the blade, but that is probably what makes it such an effective peeler. The ridges didn't bother us in the least!
This is the best peeler I’ve ever used. It takes the skin off anything with no effort. I was skeptical but this type was on so many cooking videos so I got one, and it turns out that I find this angle much more convenient than the kind I’ve always used. You do have to be careful about washing and storing it because it is very sharp.
If I had known that there was a potato peeler out there that would work this well, I would have given up using a paring knife a long time ago! I never had a side blade peeler work without getting a load of peelings building up in the peeler, and this one does not do that. My husband loves getting real potatoes more often now that I've found this peeler. :)
Excellent peeler! The blade is extremely sharp, so this peeler can be used for mangoes and fruit or vegetable with a touch skin. The Y handle took some getting used to, which had a learning curve for me, and a few peeled knuckles. The quality is excellent.

Description
The Kuhn Rikon Piranha Peeler makes it easy to peel smooth-skinned fruits and vegetables The Piranha's serrated, stainless steel blade bites into smooth and fuzzy skins and peels them off in smooth, thin strips. The plastic handle is ergonomically designed for easy grip. Horizontal Y blade peeler.
Kuhn Rikon makes precision peelers and other kitchen tools that never disappoint. I have bought their peelers for years now and love them. In fact, everyone who uses them seems to love them. I've had many kitchen helpers who marvel at how easy it is to peel veggies with the Kuhn Ripkon peelers. So I often end up giving mine away and ordering more... and more. I've given them as gifts too. They're so inexpensive and they last a long time. This peeler is larger than their standard peelers. It works well with large potatoes. What more to say. The bright colors make it easy to find in a crowded drawer too.
I love this peeler overall! Very sharp! I was able to peel the skin off a kiwi with no problem. I've never had a peeler that could do that previously. However, my small complaint is that it doesn't have the little "diggers" on the side of the tool. (I don't know what else to call them.) So when you peel potatoes and have to dig out the eyes, (that sounds weird) you have to get another tool to do so. A knife of another peeler. Otherwise this is a great item.
I've been through a few peelers over the years, from $1 throw-aways to nicer models with rubberized handles. This peeler stands out among them all as the best, though. The tiny teeth on the blade help it bite into even softer items like tomatoes or citrus. Not to mention that it makes short work of potatoes and carrots. If you've never had a harp-style peeler, don't let that scare you -- you'll quickly become accustomed. And the construction is solid -- I expect this thing to last 20 years.
This peeler is fantastic and well made. I like the ergonomically designed handle, and it has handled everything I've used it on without a problem. It even peels butternut squash without fear of losing a finger! I liked mine so much that I got one for my mom, and she likes it as much as I do. You can't go wrong with this one.
this is my second kuhn rikon peeler, i bought exactly the same one five years ago.from tjmax. and i've veen.using it daily peel potatoes and apples,it 's been.doing a fantastic job,the blade is still sharp and no parts was broken or had any issue. strongly recommend!
