It works as advertised and I don't notice a significant difference in temperature variation between top and bottom (maybe 2-3 degrees). The upper hinge arrived bent, but the door works just fine. I will echo other reviews and say there is no way I can find to fit 80 bottles into this. The most I can do is about 70. And, also as other reviewers have mentioned, larger pinot/burgundy bottles do not agree with the space between the drawers - if you like your pinots and burgundies (and let's be honest, who doesn't?) you're going to have to accept the fact you're going to wrestle with the drawers to open them.

One final suggestion, I originally bought an 18 bottle cooler thinking I might use half of it - that lasted all of three weeks. I then bought a 36 bottle fridge, thinking there is no way I'll fill that one up. One month later, both it and the 18 were full. So then, I thought I need to go big and get an 80 because there is no way I'll fill that (I was able to return the 36 for a full refund). 6 weeks later, and the 80 is full (with 70). So, the suggestion is - buy something a LOT bigger than you think you will use, because, well, you will!

Are you satisfied with the cooling performance of your new Kalamera product? Yes. It took a relatively short period of time to get to the correct temperature, holds the temperature well without running the compressor a lot, and returns to the temperature quickly after the door has been opened.
What do you like about the design of your refrigerator, such as appearance, shelf design, lighting, etc.? The exterior appearance, black, with stainless door / handle, and glass front, is very attractive. The control panel at the top front is very simple and clean-looking.
Does your product match or blend well with the style and décor of your kitchen, dining, or entertainment area? For me, I have no room in those areas, so my coolers are currently in the living room, where they don't match at all, but these would match well with both black and stainless appliances.
Some refrigerators can be noisy and disrupt your home life. Are you satisfied with the quiet operation of your Kalamera product? Yes. These units are very quiet.
Wine sediments should be disturbed as little as possible. Are you satisfied with the low vibration level of your product? Yes. There is little vibration apparent with these units.
On the flip side, I see areas for improvement in the shelves. The shelf slats are placed differently on some shelves than on others, some of the shelves are short and don't pull out as far becuase of the fan intrusion into the back near the bottom, and the overall width/height makes storage of bottles with a larger circumference fit poorly without removing shelves. So if you have a lot of 'fat' bottles or sparkling wines, you can't fit the full 80 bottles into this fridge unless you remove shelves and stack the bottles on top of each other. It can work, but the beechwood shelves also seem a little flimsy.
Oh - The only other downside on this machine - the instructions say the door swing can be flipped from hinges on the right to hinges on the left, but there are no pre-drilled / capped holes on the top left to make that switch, so I'm stuck with having to open the door a full 180 degrees to get into it at its current location, since I can't swap the swing. Not a big deal; just something to keep in mind when ordering.

It's a good wine refrigerator. After six months, it's working nice and steady (which is more than I can say for some). Like many others, the spacing of the shelves is good for Bordeaux bottles but not so much for Burgundy ones, and good luck actually fitting 80 bottles if you have any bottles of any size at all. C'est la vie.

The one thing everyone needs to know is that you cannot trust the temperature setting to be accurate. While the unit does hold a consistent and uniform temperature throughout, the setting is not accurate. Ours runs very high--we have to set the temperature to 49F in order to achieve an actual temperature of 55F. Use a separate thermometer (we used the sort that has the probe connected by a wire, and that worked great). Once we got it set, though, it's held steady since.

Nice and quiet but smaller than I thought it would be. Check the dimensions before you buy it. Perfect size for me but I was surprised when it arrived. My perception of the photos was that it would be bigger. The shelves are made of wood but are a little on the flimsy side which is the ONLY reason for the markdown from 5 stars to 4 stars.

The temperature setting is a bit off but this is no big deal. This is a one zone refrigerator so the temperature at the bottom will be cooler than at the top (duh, right?). Put a thermometer in the bottom and another at the top. Adjust the temperature setting until the temperatures are what you want. Since red wine should be stored at a higher temperature than white wine simply put the reds at the top and whites at the bottom.

Temperatures are consistent but don't expect them to match the digital readout.

I'm very happy with this wine cooler so far. Received well boxed and in great condition. I opened it and it was it great shape. I read the instructions and placed it in position and let it set as instructed. Plugged it in and set the temp. I gave it 24 hours and double checked the temp. The too shelves were about 3 degrees warmer than the lower shelves, and about that much above the indicated temp on the controller. The lower shelves were very close to indicated temp. There were no blemishes or marks. The handle assembled perfectly.
I loaded my wines in and within about 2 hours everything had reached temp. I'm very happy.
It doesn't hold the full number of bottles indicated with all reds, due to bottle shape, but it's close. This is primarily for long lay down bottles. Daily drinkers are stored in a cool shelving unit. I'm satisfied!

UPDATE!
So, I've had this about a year, and I am updating. I am still VERY happy with this unit. The temp is accurate within a couple of degrees, I find it varies a little bit from the top of the unit to the bottom, which is to be expected. Warmer air rises. I keep my reds in the lower section. This is a single zone unit, so it kind of works out well for me. When I want to open a white, I take them out and chill them a little more in the fridge first. This unit has been very reliable through summer and winter so far, keeping the temps very constant. I used a secondary thermometer for several months to verify the temps. Constant temp is so important to keeping wine. I'm thinking about a higher capacity cooler now!

The wine fridge is exactly what we were looking for......however a little disappointed with package upon arrival...the box bottom was missing which caused the heavy package to be lopsided which caused the door to come off it's hinges and the metal back on the unit to be bent. We were able to get the door back on and the bent metal back doesn't affect the use or look of the fridge so we decided on not sending it back.

The first one arrived damaged but was returned and the newest one came in perfect. I put it in place set the temperature and checked it with a digital thermometer. The temp and thermometer where 1 degree off. I'd say thats perfect. Its been in place for a week and is quite enough and holds a fair amount of wine. My only complaint is that the shelfs are a little close for those larger bottles.

Perfect so far, easy setup, and maintains temperature accurately and evenly (i have stick on temp sensors on the glass on the bottom and top of the unit). fitting more than 4 bottles on most shelves is a bit of a task, realistically assume maybe 5 per shelf is doable.

We are so pleased with our new wine cooler! It is sleek, handsome, quiet and well made. It looks even better than we imagined it to be.

Quiet, nice looking, worth the money!
