Bought this for a ski trip with friends and it got a lot of laughs. It even comes with tiny, reusable cups! Packs down again too so easy to take on the next vacation.
I brought this as a gift to a White Elephant party this year. Needless to say, we put it to use before the party was over :)
Son in law loves
I really like this pool float cooler. We don't use it for beer. We use it for bottled water because when my 4 year old gets thirsty in the pool she has a habit of trying to drink the pool water so we've learned to keep bottled water by the pool (and now in the pool) to teach her that she needs to drink the bottled water and it isn't okay to drink the pool water.
I'm really becoming a fan of this brand. The products all seem very well made and this one is no exception. This is bright and colorful and my daughter wants to drink the water bottles from it rather than the pool water so that's a huge plus. It's very well made and has no problem holding a few bottles of water with ice. While the price point is a bit higher than similar products, I honestly believe it has to do with the better quality. My grandmother always told me you get what you pay for.
While you can blow this up by blowing into it, I don't recommend it. We use an electric pump and it takes a couple of minutes to get the whole thing set up. It also makes deflating it much easier.
With that being said, this is larger than I expected it to be.Check the dimensions of the product and the dimensions of your pool before ordering. While this is fine for larger pools like ours, it might take up too much space in smaller pools. You'll definitely want to check the measurements before buying. If it's a good fit for your pool's size, I highly recommend it.
This is a review of the FUNBOY Giant Inflatable Rainbow Cloud Floating Drink Holder.
I have several FUNBOY floats and am crazy about all of them. They are not only exceptionally colorful and look whimsical, they are really sturdy to boot.
FUNBOY floats are more expensive than similar looking floats by other companies, but there’s a big difference in quality and durability. We live in a place that gets nearly year-round sun and many of our other pool floats have deflated and become useless from the wear and tear of lots of neighborhood kids going crazy with them. Not so with FUNBOY floats which are made of a much thicker vinyl.
This is the only FUNBOY drink holder float we have but the quality is the same as my other ones. This one has separate valves in the rainbow portion and in the base. I know you can blow this up by mouth, but we bought a $13 electric pump and it really makes inflating this and deflating this a piece of cake - less than 2 minutes for the whole thing.
FUNBOY floats tend to be on the large side and this is no exception, so if you have an old-fashioned smallish kidney-shaped pool know that this will take up a bit of room.
Still, highly recommended. Check out all their other floats; they even look better in person.

We have a nice sized hot tub on our patio. There are a few cup holders built in to it, but they're very shallow. We thought the rainbow unicorn drink holder would be fun to use. It was quick to inflate . The colors are vibrant. We've tried it with cans, bottles and cups. It works best with the cans. I felt that the bottle was a little top heavy and it didn't feel very stable in it. We didn't lose our bottle, but it just felt risky. The Solo type red cup worked fine, too. It's been several days and it has maintained it's original shape and doesn't appear to have lost any air. I've been impressed with the quality so far.
Much bigger than I thought it would be! We have a small hot tub and the float is literally one third of the size, but it's fantastic. I like the other review that suggested that it could be used for bottled water, and that's what we're doing. We have snacks in the center, like canned mixed nuts that we eat with a spoon so they don't get wet, it's hilarious.
The quality is excellent. I used an electric air pump and it took about five minutes. There are two openings, one in the cloud and the other in the rainbow. The plastic is nice and thick, and it comes with a small patch in case of a leak.
PROS
1) it is CRAZY cute, your friends will all fight over who gets to use it.
2) the drink receptacle is the perfect size: large enough to hold a variety of drink containers, but small enough to securely hold a regulation size can.
CONS
3) it doesn’t hold air like it should; deflates slightly after a few hours but not much more than that. I don’t know why it won’t stay firmly inflated, but it doesn’t seem to affect the way it works.
4) the wings make it just a little too aerodynamic!! If it isn’t anchored by a full beverage and a strong wind comes along, grab it quick before it gets away!
The Good:
- Unique and colorful design
- Functional as it holds your beer or drink cup
- Very stable in the pool
- Easily inflatable
The Bad:
- None except the price being a little high
- A bit pricey
The Bottom Line:
If you like lounging in the pool and need a stable drink holder then this is worth a look. This well made and has a thicker plastic rather than flimsy plastic. The design and color are unique so it definitely stands out.

You need an electric pump for this, or two people, it is very difficult to inflate, the intake valve has to be pinched just right.
Other than that, this is very large holding almost a small bag of ice. The single holes can hole wide items like cans in thin sleeves.
This is well made, the plastic should put up with a lot of hard hot sun, if it gets left out. The valves being difficult to pump up are also tough and well built.
If you plan to party, I'd say this item would be popular and the price is excellent.
