I’ve had the speakers for a little over a month they have been outside in the rain by the pool they have been fabulous the sound is great the solar panels work so they don’t ever need recharged I will update this at the end of the summer and let you know how it went
Update: I have used the speakers all summer long. What a great product. If you’re looking for outside speakers I would highly recommend these. very pleased!
The loudest of the speakers is excellent. The charge last a longtime. We have full charged them once and used them numerous times for hours and not needed a recharge. Needs just a little more bass sound.
So far they work great. Good sound. A bit tricky to start up -- the speakers must be turned on and synced in a specific sequence or they won't work -- but once you've done it a couple of times it's easy.
We use it on our back patio with our Amazon Dot. It works fine, haven't had to recharge it since it's been outside for almost a month. I do have a few recommendations for improvement:
1. Provide an easier way to turn on the speakers. Maybe it's possible to have a low power bluetooth connection that's always available. If something connects, auto-power on both speakers without having to press the side buttons on each speaker before use.
2. Sometimes there is a delay between the audio from the Dot to the Speaker. For instance, ask Alexa "what time is it" and there are a few milliseconds where the audio is missed before the speaker plays the audio.
I use it with iHeartRadio and have been very pleased with it overall. A few tweaks and it could be perfect!
The speakers are really cool. There are so much louder than some of the other reviews are leading people to believe. I’m a musician in a band and I’m telling you these are loud enough LOL the pairing is a pain in the butt. This was not a smart design. This does not make it fun but once you get it paired they work great. I live in Florida so they get rained on all the time they look and sound awesome still

These speakers were much larger than I was expecting. Sounder better than I expected too. Bought these to play music outside for Halloween so initial sound quality was not high on my list but I was more than pleased with the sound. They are Bluetooth which is what I wanted, outside rated, and battery powered. They look like what you would expect a fake rock to look like but not bad looking. Very pleased for the value.
Wow!!! Did not expect the sound I got out of these speakers! Deep base and great mids. Everyone was impressed and looking for high up mounted speakers on the roof under hang. Sound projects like the old Bose Direct Reflecting Speakers I had. They're easy to charge, pair up, then pair with my phone and cranks out some great ambience for our back yard area! Solar power maintains the charge. Can't go wrong on these!
By no means is this going to blow your eardrums, but its clear and gets the job done. Plus having 2 speakers for the price of 1, for most products makes this purchase a good one.
30 foot deck, works fine end to as long as its on the deck railings, but at 30 ft.the singnal is easily blocked or interupted at this spread.
In the woods 10ft away from samsung note with a 20 ft spread. is also fine. Both locations about 4 ft. hight or shoulder hight.
I am quite pleased with the sound quality for the price. I placed them outside about 5 days ago and they have already been through a major south florida thunderstorm soaking at least 3x now and they are holding up just fine.
They are easy to set up.
UPDATE 3/5/19: Still feel the same! ORIGINAL REVIEW 12/29/18: Purchased these for my DH. He isn't an audiophile, but would object to really tinny sound, or too much bass. He wants to listen to music or sports out by the pool, or while doing yard work. He Charged them (initial charge- indoors) on Christmas Day. The very next morning, brought them outside, paired them and began using them for about 4 hours straight. They have been outside since. Played twice, while drinking coffee in the am- brief playing. So Far so good. If I never update this review, you can trust that he remains satisfied with the performance of his new solar charging 'mock rock' speakers.
