Bought a Twin Peak coffee mug for my son, which arrived with 4 breaks in the handle. I got a replacement for him but hated throwing away the mug. I glued the handle together, best I could, then wrapped Sugru around it forming a fish shape. I etched out lines for scales, formed some small fins, eyes... It turned out really cool, he enjoyed the joke, and the handle is very strong.
I love it, but I don't like how little you get for the price. I have to be choosy with what I want to fix or make because it's expensive. However, it really is great stuff and there are all sorts of colors to match whatever you are fixing. I had to throw away some leftover from a little pouch I opened because I didn't use it all. I was being selective with what I wanted to use it for i wanted to save the remainder I didn't use. The next day, it was unusable because it was already cured. I thought by closing the remainder in it's pouch it came in, sealing it with a handheld sealer, then put it in a baggie, releasing all the air and put that into another baggie releasing all the air would work. Nope!. The package only says to put it in the fridge to Make the life if the sugru 3 times longer. What about when it's already opened and you want to save what you didn't use?
This stuff is great! I had an issue where my pantry door wouldn't close all the way due to a new hanging door organizer I installed. This stuff fixed my door problem preventing it to push out after it's closed.
Love this product just wish it was cheaper and came in bigger packages. I used it on a piece of furniture with a big chunk out of it and once I get it painted no one will know the difference.
Product is easy to work with. My first use was to patch over our Laptops power cord and it has worked perfect. I use a MB Pro 80 dollars for a for a new power cord.
